The food is always delicious. Service is pleasant and the ambiance is always a Caribbean vibe. You will see videos from the islands at the bar and a nice Caribbean playlist coming from the speakers.

If you're looking for authentic Jamaican food this is the place to go. My parents are from the Caribbean and they enjoy this place. I've been coming here for a number of years and surprised I haven't left a review! Typically, I ordered to go, but have dined in before too. earlier this week, I dined them with a group of four we all enjoyed our dishes that arranged from the jerk pasta, jerk chicken, and steamed fish. We did try some of their spirits be prepared for that Jamaican rum- it is no joke, its for sipping and enjoying! I can't forget to mention the rum cake (black cake) it was really good moist and I'm so happy you were not sold out this time. Will look forward to my next visit when I'm feeling in the Caribbean mood

Came on a Friday night! Live music was loud and fun! Definitely a vibe! Sat down at a clean booth. Waitress was friendly, but very slow service. And it didn't take long to figure out why. Although the restaurant gets an abundance of carry out orders, I noticed the waitress was managing multiple tables and placing to go orders. That's allot to do for one person! And that made the service slower than desired. I ended up going to the bar to get a drink because nobody was coming back to our table. When our food finally came, it didn't come all together. Each dish came one by one. I'm curious as to how they expect the waitresses to do all this!? When we finally ate, the food was good. Not the best, but good. Idk, I'll probably just order take out if I decide to return.

First time trying this place, got a carry out. Sat at the bar to wait and had a drink while waiting. Looks like the have a full bar plus a few pre made drinks to you order. Did'nt have a long wait for my carry out which was good. Prices seem reasonable, can't wait to go back and dine in.

Frequent Flyer Here! I've been coming to this spot for about a year, and I'd definitely recommend it. As a big fan of Jamaican food, I've been on the lookout for a place that serves authentic Boston-style dishes--and this place hits the mark! Their jerk chicken is my go-to: flavorful, juicy, and saucy, just the way I like it. I've dined in a few times, and service is always quick and friendly. My only wish is for a bit more rice and cabbage with the meal, but overall, it's still fantastic!

So Carribean Chill n Grill was pretty good. I ordered (from top left), lamb chops, jerk shrimp, and jerk oxtails (sooo good). I got the lamb chops and shrimp aka cart, the meals come with rice/beans, cabbage and plantains. They were featured on Channel 4's Tasty Tuesday, but they were very short handed! Mr Richard and another lady were working carry out and inside diners, and there was one cook. So, pack your patience, the food was worth the wait.

Wow what can I say for starters this place was super clean. The food was sooooo on point. And the server was absolutely awesome.

Sorry I was so hungry I dug in before taking a pic

First time! I'll definitely try again. I got the curry chicken roti. The roti and the chicken were awesome! Great flavor on the curry. The roti was fresh made. The cons is that with tip I paid $20 for carry out. The dinner should come with rice & peas, cabbage and plantain. I didn't get those things just a side of plain rice. Kinda feels like they don't like me! Lol but I will try one more time before I run back to my favorite Caribbean Citchen

Came on a Friday evening for their karaoke event. They were out of oxtails and jerk chicken, whomp whomp :( . I ended up ordering the jerk shrimp. Their menu is extensive and the prices are great, in my opinion. They weren't doing dine-in but you could order carry out and eat it at the tables. They also have a variety of alcoholic beverages. The jerk shrimp was very spicy and seasoned perfectly as was the cabbage. I wish I had received more plantain, it was so good and I only had two pieces. My friend ordered red snapper which was also very tasty. The jerk shrimp were huge and plentiful! Another friend got the Mac and cheese and initially I didn't care for it but that's cuz it was piping hot. Once it cooled a bit and "set up" it was amazing as well. I plan to for sure go back for the oxtails! Friday karaoke was also super fun, the hostess was subbing for the usual host but they need to make her permanent because her energy was so fun!!

Absolutely loved it! I would've never have found it if I didn't have to go to a print shop down the street to pick up some business cards. I went on Yelp hoping to find something to eat other than normal fast food. This was probably one of my best "fortunate mistakes" in a long time. As always, as with any other restaurants where I know what the signature dish is and what it should taste like, I ordered that on my first visit. If you can't do the signature dish well, I'm not going to be back. It's that simple. This place makes a fabulous Jerk Chicken. A large plate of 3 pieces of dark meat jerk chicken with rice and beans, slices of fried plantain and a healthy scoop of fresh steamed veg was $15.99! I ate every lick of it and wish I had more. They offered me some more jus for the rice (yes, please!) and some hot sauce (looks like roughly bended habanero peppers). The whole meal and experience was awesome. My lips were happily burning all the way back to the office (10 minute ride). I will definitely go back!

I visited to experience the cuisine, which I haven't had much of admittedly. However, after reading several reviews I was led to try it. There was a large order ahead of me, and since there is only one gentleman, the owner, preparing the food, I was there for over an hour waiting for my carryout. I definitely can't stress enough how important it is to order ahead. The menu is small but mighty. It consists of jerk chicken, curry chicken, oxtails, curry goat red snapper, salmon, and Rasta Pasta for the mains. Side dishes include yams, rice & peas, cabbage, plantain and other items. He also sells juices and Jamaican beef patties. Now admittedly, I'm a lightweight when it comes to spices, particularly heat. I don't care for hot spices this is why I shied away from eating Caribbean food. *haha* I ordered the pasta thinking I would be avoiding the curry and the jerk seasonings. But being unfamiliar with the dish, I was wrong. The dish was full of flavor and very spicy. If you like that sort of thing, I am sure you will enjoy it as it had a deep flavor as if it was stewed overnight. The pasta comes with chicken, which was very tender and juicy. I also had a beef patty. The crust was flaky and delicious, as was the beef filling. Before I left, I shared with the owner that I had planned to leave a review on Yelp. He shared with me a letter that he had received from Yelp congratulating him on his driving business. He is humble, with a great spirit. I enjoyed him. I highly recommend Caribbean Authentic Cuisine. Whether you're familiar with the cuisine or you're looking to try something new, this is a great choice.

After a thorough search on…read moreYelp, we came across the Jamaican Pot - based on the reviews and photos, we knew we had to give them a try. We ordered a large jerk chicken with oxtail gravy on top, rice and red beans, beef patty and coco bread as well as two sweet potato brownies.... we didn't get photos of those. The beef patty was perfectly flaky and flavorful (not spicy), the coco bread was the perfect texture/sweetness to offsite the spice from the jerk chicken - which we ordered medium spice and although it was just spicy enough for me, it was too spicy for my husband. The chicken was tender and flavorful, the oxtail gravy gave it that extra kick. The cabbage was good too, not bland but not overly seasoned to take away from the chicken. I personally didn't care for the flavor or texture of the brownies, it was more like a soft layer of sweet potato on top on a cake bottom layer - if that makes sense, but my husband loved it. Overall, very pleased with the service, pricing and quality of the food! Definitely recommend and will be taking a plate back on the plane with us :)

I have consistently come here to get food throughout the years and it has been so rewarding to continue to see Yum Village be such a pillar in the city and in the food industry! The service here is incredible, you don't bus anything yourself. I also noticed that the staff that day was all women, from everyone front of house to the chefs in the back as well preparing the food, which was extra fun! They are so attentive to us and even when there was a snaffoo with on of my party's orders. They paid with cash and I think perhaps that messed up the tracking of the order through the system? I'm not entirely sure. As for the food, Yum Village has maintained some of the same dishes throughout the years, while also adding and/or rotating a ton of other dishes through the menu. I can definitely confirm that the garlic parm jerk chicken remains my favorite and that the spice level, while still plentiful and intense, has eased up a bit in recent years. Either that or that I have become more spice heat-tolerant! Either way, the portions also remain huge, so there was a ton of food to take home! I love the truffle collard greens, the deeply unique and flavorful corncakes, and also the star of the show this go around was the deliciously complex fried cheesy fufu! It oozes so much flavor and is the perfect addition to any meal and very shareable as well! Keep up the great work, Yum Village!!

Only bumping it down a star because they had some trouble with one of my friends' order. I guess it didn't go through to the kitchen, but one of the ladies noticed and asked my friend for her receipt so they could get her food going. However, seemed like they then lost that too because it wasn't until after two of us got our food and had been munching for a bit that they realized no one had started on our friend's order. Came out fast after that. Easily 5 stars without the ordering hiccup!

It's located in a small building set back from the main road, and the lighting is dim, so you might miss it if you're not careful. The parking lot is also quite small. The server was kind and patient as I decided what to order. After a quick phone call, I ordered a jerk chicken meal with double rice and peas, and a curry goat meal with greens and rice and peas. The friendly gentleman informed me it would take about 10 minutes, and my food was ready exactly as promised. I always check my food before leaving any place, and everything looked and smelled amazing. The portions were generous for the price, and we could have shared a meal, but I was craving their curry goat! Since we didn't have far to drive, we started eating right away before heading home. The jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned, and all our food was fresh and piping hot. The rice and peas were tender and flavorful. However, I must say that the curry goat was the star of the show! It was tender and moist with just the right amount of spice. My body isn't usually fond of spicy foods, but this had the perfect kick. No extra seasoning was needed on anything! We both thoroughly enjoyed our dinners and couldn't finish even a fourth of either one. Wow, what an incredible takeout experience we had from this hidden Caribbean gem! It's tucked away in a small, dimly lit building off the main road--you might miss it if you're not paying attention. The parking lot's pretty tiny, but trust me, the food is 100% worth it! The awesome guy at the counter said it'd be ready in 10 minutes, and guess what? Right on the dot! Of course, I had to check our food before leaving--habit--and oh my gosh, it looked and smelled AMAZING. Huge portions too; honestly, we could've shared, but there was no way I was passing on that curry goat! We couldn't even wait to get home--we dug right in. The jerk chicken? Mind-blowingly good. Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and packed with flavor. The rice and peas? Tender, flavorful, and just the right texture. But let me tell you, the CURRY GOAT stole the show! Tender, moist, with the perfect hit of spice--I usually can't handle spicy food, but this was just right. No extra seasoning needed, not even a sprinkle. We were both in foodie heaven and couldn't even finish a fourth of our meals because the portions were that generous.
