Spot on food, and friendly service! My wife and I were in town - we live IE - and saw the unique menu. Stopped in, chatted with the crew at the counter, snd got recommendations. There is no in between food here(so no Jerk Chicken Adobo) 2) It was a bit on the pricey side, I thought for the Filipino food. The Caribbean option was a pretty good value though. The Jerk Chicken Sandwich and Jerk Skewers was more than enough food, and a good value. It's not super authentic Caribbean Food, but it's a good platform to try out Caribbean food. 3) Halo Halo is a must here, not too sweet, but a good assortment of stuff in the ice cream. Great spot! Had lunch on a Saturday afternoon, not too busy, we we're helped right away. We had the Jerk chicken salad, pork BBQ skewers, jerk trip tip salad, and lumpia appetizer. Everything was really good! The coleslaw and rice was a great side for the pork skewers. The lumpia was perfectly fried in fresh oil. The jerk seasoning was on point. Service was quick and friendly. I'm a creature of habit, but when I come to Caribbean Haven, I try something new every time. So far, everything is awesome! The fact that they have Filipino and Jamaican food in one place is great. Because of this they have something for ever and are even vegan friendly. I truly recommend the Ox tails--if you've never tried--they are tender and the flavor is on point! Jerk burgers, jerk chicken, and jerk fries are also at the top of my list. They also have empanadas and Jamaican patty's that make a great appetizer, snack or breakfast. Been waiting for this restaurant to open for a while now as Ventura County is hurting for a Caribbean restaurant. I was not sure what to expect. I ordered the jerk chicken plate which was exceptional (next time, I will ask for more spice; most probably won't). Friendly staff though ordering was a bit slow (staff was learning register) but food was made in a reasonable time. The food is always good here but I'm giving CH a 1 star because doordash arrived with a missing item. I don't blame the driver. He is contracted to deliver the food, and that's it. The restaurant is responsible for ensuring the order is complete before it goes out. I would not have left this review had the order been really complicated, but I ordered 6 items, and 2 were exactly the same. How difficult is it to review a ticket and make sure everything is in the order? Additionally, when I called the restaurant to ask how the item was missed, the employee did not seem one bit apologetic. If a mistake is made, own it. Don't give excuses. I would have appreciated some acceptance of responsibility but instead, he just communicated with a sense of "matter of fact." Disappointing. read more

Only place in Ventura with the quality Caribbean food. The jerk chicken has a solid kick to it, and melts in your mouth, it's godly. The roti wraps are absolutely stuffed, thr size is well worth the price! I got a wrap with curry chicken and it lasted me two meals, can't wait to try the other kinds. Umm the best coconut shrimp I've had. It's honestly hard to find one that isn't too sweet and this one was the perfect balance of savory and sweet. Lumpia wasn't bad either. Being a New Yorker I long for Jamaican food ...and came across this place which I has been a hit or miss for me. The Jamaican food is actually good . But over priced , portions are questionable (except for rice , they give you plenty of that ). Today I ordered the oXTail Stew Meal and Coconut Shrimp Meal , with substitutes (that they charge for and don't tell you) . Please see photos. I took my bag after waiting 20 mins and got to the car . Something said check it ( because I have gone home and discover my order wasn't right ). I order Oxtail gravy on my rice , not done . No sauce for he coconut shrimp , no plantains that was order on the other order. I had to wait an additional 10 mins. While waiting I ask to speak to the manager , to explain my order is rarely correct and who seem offend when I mention I m from NY and mention the portions compared to here were inappropriate . "Well when I m in LA this is the portions they use " . The tone and statement showed me she clearly don't care if she doesn't get my business again .
