I always make sure to stop here everytime I'm down in Florida! I love it here. The view from outside seating is absolutely wonderful, and the food is always so good! I love their ribs here; and their entire drink menu. This spot has become a staple for myself and family whenever I'm in the area. I honestly wish i could go more often! I ordered the Stickin Jerkin Chicken and did not like it. The chicken was burnt and the rice seasoning was not good. The only part of the meal that was tasty was the mango salsa. I didn't try their drinks but I wouldn't come here for the food. Now onto the pros, our server Stephanie was nice and our food came out quickly. Decided to go here on my last day of vacation. And it did not disappoint. Had been here a long time ago and I think it may have gotten better. I sat at the outside bar on the patio and they had live music tonight. The service at the bar was really good, bartender Abby was very personable and helpful. Started out with the rum smuggler cocktail and the Caribbean pickles. The pickles were top notch with a bit of a kick. They had some many good options next for entrees. It was between the tacos ( they had gator and being from Florida gator is so good) but I decided on the fish and shrimp basket with coleslaw. The breading on them was light and really good seasoning. For entrees I got the Sweet and Spicy Jerk Chicken Pasta and my friend got Sautéed Scalops and Shrimps. I thought the jerk chicken tasted great and my friend thought the shrimp tasted good and the creamy cheesy sauce paired well with it. He's not a fan of seafood, so this was good praise. I got a Pina colada and an Island Paradise in one of their souvenir cups. One of the best pina colada's I've had, and the island paradise tasted amazing. I had here twice actually on a recent trip to Daytona beach. Live music, great service, and the food was really good. This had one of the best atmospheres that we had found as we enjoy the outside seating. We even saw a dolphin swimming in the harbor area. Okay; not bad pseudo tropical decor in the back end of a marina just on the mainland. It wasn't overly miserable outside so we sat undercover at the outdoor bar, which is simply a continuation to the indoor one. First out was fried gator tail. As U can see from picture, the nuggets were of varying sizes, and varying states of tenderness. The bigger, the more rubbery. Smaller ones were tender and almost reminded me of a clam strip in texture and flavor. I settled on one of their so-called signature items: "Stickin Jerk Chicken." Seasoned with jerk rub and basted with jerk sauce as it's grilled. They dump the little skewers atop a pile of dirty rice and there is mango pineapple salsa on the side. Queen Bee also opted for something from the poultry kingdom: Island Jerk Chicken Tacos. They come with dirty rice and that same salsa along with "Caribbean slaw." Other prep options are blackened or grilled. Alternate proteins are mahi, shrimp, tuna or gator. Word of Warning: U assemble UR own tacos; the kitchen doesn't. A notable turnoff is Alana, the barkeep going off duty not long after we got there. She didn't give us an option to cash out. So $10.65 for our gator nuggets and two waters. So for that involuntary transaction she gets $1.35 tip. Loud, obnoxious and borderline rude, we are both glad that she left. She kept flirting with the dirty old men sitting round the bar all the while. At least her replacement got the idea when we told her we weren't in any hurry. After coming round once more, we then placed our entree orders. After a bit too horribly long wait time, out they came. Since we both got dishes with jerk chicken, dirty rice and salsa, this can be simply described. Chicken was well flavored and grilled, even before the jerk seasoning. It definitely had heat, to which the salsa provided a good counterpoint. Her chicken, however, was dry; the sauce bath on mine kept it from being anything CLOSE to dry. Rice was a step above a rice mix from the old Sysco truck. However it was not a step and a half or two steps above. It reminded me more of Caribbean peas and rice than dirty rice, which traditionally has chicken livers as a flavoring. This stuff had black beans rather than pigeon peas. So Sysco mix and a can of black beans, maybe? Her tortillas definitely had seen better days as the edges of a couple of em were stale and hard. Slaw had a slightly sweeter flavor from a little pineapple tossed in. By the time we finished (QB left most of her so so rice), we'd had enough. For $48 I expect better. If this is the house that Jack built, I'll quite gladly rent 'em a wrecking ball. read more

This is one of my favorite spots to go when visiting Daytona Beach! I absolutely love the views of the water while sipping on a cold drink and enjoying some fresh seafood. They also have live music going on sometimes and the service is always welcoming and quick. During our recent visit we ordered the pretzel stick appetizer and it was delicious - so soft and warm. This appetizer was served with beer cheese and a mustard. Their Mahi is my absolute favorite (in all forms) including the Mahi BLT and Mahi tacos! My mother and stepdad are huge fans of Caribbean Jack's so I was eager to visit. We went for dinner on Saturday evening during NYE weekend. They offer a $10 appetizer special until 6PM; therefore, we started with the sesame crusted tuna and spinach artichoke dip. The tuna appetizer was delicious, especially the seaweed salad. The dip was good, but the tortilla chips were terrible! My Mom started with a White Russian, but went to rum and cokes. My stepdad had a Shark Attack Bloody Mary which features a fresh skewer of shrimp, pepperoni, pepper jack cheese, pepperoncini, and a queen stuffed olive. I enjoyed club sodas with a splash of cranberry juice. For entrées, my stepdad ordered the Crab Stuffed Avocado Salad. He really enjoyed it. My mother and I both ordered the seafood broil which comes with two sides. The broil features a crab cake, a piece of mahi, shrimp, and scallops. For sides, Mom opted for garlic red skinned mashed potatoes and broccoli. Whereas, I had Jack'd potatoes at the recommendation of our server along with corn on the cob. The broil served as two meals for both Mom and I. The consistency and flavor of the seafood was very good, but the mahi was slightly boring. The Jack'd potatoes were EPIC! On the contrary, the mashed potatoes were okay. Finally, I added a side Caesar salad to my dinner. Not only was it ridiculously scrumptious, but it was also a very generous portion. Our server was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable regarding the menu. Our drinks were never empty and everything arrived as ordered. Finally, the dining room as well as the restrooms were clean. We happened to be in Daytona Florida and we stumbled upon Caribbean Jacks. Man are happy we did! The Restaurant is located on the water on the inside of the peninsula from the ocean. It's a Decades Old nostalgic Fish House/Restaurant. The service was great with friendly, knowledgeable waitresses and staff. The restaurants ambiance makes you feel like you're eating inside a Fish House on the shore, which you are! We ordered the Classic Specials of Fish & Chips, Fried Shrimp, Clam Chowder and Alligator Bites. Let me tell you the Fried Fish was so tender, moist and crunchy batter. So good with Malt Vinegar and Hot Sauce! The Fried Shrimp were Large Crunchy and Moist, the Fish and Shrimp were the Best I've had! The Fries were more like Chips than traditional thick fries like they have posted on their menu. They were OK. The Coleslaw was delicious, super tasty. Now the Clam Chowder it's was very tasty with chunks of potatoes and seafood but it was on the watery side. It would be much better if they thickened up the Chowder. Other than the different fries/chips and great but watery clam chowder I would 100% go back again! read more

Absolutely everything! But the highlight of our evening was our waiter, I believe his name was Jason. I sure hope it was because I want to bring my husband back and he loved your restaurant and our waiter. We just found out my husband needs major back surgery as well as major heart surgery. Plus he has cancer. When they complete the surgeries and he recovers enough, he has to go directly to rehab. So I am praying that all goes well and we can get back there for more delicious food, sunsets, music and Jason to wait on us!! The ambiance is obviously perfect as well!! OMG, this place is amazing!!! The Ambiance is AWESOME the food is DELICIOUS, the wait staff and especially the manager Chris is EXCEPTIONAL! (ooh lala ) They also have bands playing but, if you want quiet time, you can go inside or towards the end of the pier. You can even see dolphins on the river They even have great seating for a large group or great swings with tables. No, the don't swing fast but pleasantly rocking while your eating. My husband, son, and I were in Daytona and decided to stop here for lunch after looking at the Yelp reviews and pictures. We had a great experience here from the décor to the food to the service. The hostess gave our son a high chair, coloring sheet, and crayons which was really nice. Our server was nice and attentive, but not bothersome. The décor is laid back and coastal. There is indoor and outdoor seating with lots of booths. We started with a Mango drink and a Rum Punch. Both were delicious, but we both preferred the mango cocktail because the alcohol was subtle. We had the fried gator appetizer and it was delicious; perfectly cooked with savory remoulade sauce. For an entrée we split the blackened grouper meal with dries, hushpuppies, and coleslaw. The grouper was flavorful, fries were crisp and delicious, the slaw was fresh and crunchy, and the hushpuppies were the perfect blend of sweet and salty. We finished with the Bananas Foster dessert, which was AMAZING! I grew up near New Orleans and although having puff pastry is not traditional, it was delicious and big enough for 3-4 people to split. First impression was very welcoming hostesses. We put our name in and they said half hour and we're called in about 10 minutes. They put us in an outside high table shaded with a view. Nope, that doesn't work for me, too short. Then they were able to put us in a booth inside. That worked out well Our server came. She was nice but I can tell she was over extended. She was running around what seemed all over. I felt bad for her but our food surely took forever. We ordered sesame tuna app, calamari, & chicken Alfredo(not pictured). From 3-6 pm even on the weekend, Rum Smugglers are $6. Apps except crab are $10 each. Finally we got our food and I did like the sesame tuna app. Calamari I asked for marinara sauce which was better and my husband was happy with his chicken Alfredo with extra sauce. The kitchen was super backed up so we were as patient as can be and just watched the little kids having fun. There are tons of big families that come here.
