I ordered their coco bread and I commented that it tasted a bit weird offered to give it back? However, the young lady offered to replace it, which I thought was a good gesture, or so I thought. I asked her to warm it up for me for 15 seconds, nope, she warmed it up for a minute purposefully which made the coco bread hard, not which was very spiteful and I didn't catch it until I drove off. This came after I water 30 minutes for a small soup which she was unsure that I purchased and had the cashier look up the receipt because she didn't believe I bought the soup? First impressions of this place was unpleasant and for them to be so spiteful for something so small makes me very reluctant to purchase from them again, who knows what she would do to my food. read more

The worst customer service experience in the world, I sat down for 30 minutes while everyone who came after me got their order.. after seeing a long time had passed I finally went up to the front to check the status of my order, my food was brought out with an attitude, as if I was the inconvenience, there was no apology for my delayed and they tried to charge me extra for replacing the jerk sauce with oxtail sauce... when I asked why I was getting charged extra when I wanted a replacement for the sauce and not extra sauce...the lady then rolled her eyes and went and got the oxtail sauce... she again did not say have a good day or apologize for completely forgetting about my order...they are very mean spirited, if it weren't for the food being good, I would never go back there again... this experience almost ruined my day but I refuse to let because I know how energy ...Someone needs to train them on customer service as soon as possible. I am used to tasty Caribbean food in NY, but here I haven't had much luck, 'til today. I came in around 2:30, places my order- jerk chicken dinner and it was so go. The chicken was well seasoned and the jerk sauce was on the side. I normally like sweet sauce on my meal, but since it was my first time here I wanted to see how they served it. The sauce has a little kick, so be warned. The staff was friendly. They have an outdoor patio and my meal was served there. I was also told that sometimes they have entertainment outdoors- I definitely would come for that. Their outdoor space felt like I was literally on an island. If you read my review yesterday regarding another Jamaican restaurant I spoke of my go to place for food. THIS PLACE IS IT! Went with my daughter today to get some fish patties and their patties actually have fish in it. (Only go to Golden Krust if you want to eat crust). This bakery has two locations (that I know of) and have been consistent in food quality for 20 years. My daughter ordered curry goat (small) that is pictured and loves it. Here in Orlando for vacation from Maryland. Glad to have found a Jamaican place to eat. Had to drive 30 minutes to get there but it was worth it. Patties were good but did taste different than what I am used to. I am Jamaican by the way. Curry goat was pretty good with the rice and peas. Oxtail was good as well. But I forgot to request scotch bonnet pepper. There was none in the oxtail but a little in the goat. Very nice selection o drinks. Thy even had some Trini drinks. The place was very clean. The deserts looked delicious but I did not try any this time around. I did not try the hard dough bread yet but I did buy one for the trip back up to Maryland tomorrow. I would venture to say this is one of the best Jamaican food spots in Orlando! I am Jamaican so that says a lot. They have the Jamaican staples like oxtails, brown stew chicken, patties, and Jamaican breakfast items. They are all amazing. They have a really good callaloo Pattie if you don't eat meat. They are always friendly inside. Small place so you order takeout and I've never had an issue with this specific location. If you love Jamaican food this place is great. This is a small Caribbean shop on the SE corner of Silver Star Road and Hiawassee in a litte strip mall. So far, I have not tried anything but the patties but I can tell you they were the best I have ever had. The crust is light- not heavily breaded and they are full of meat! The spicy ones were the ones I had and I tasted the spice. Outside of Jamaica, I think these are the best patties ever! I have not tried the food yet as I kind of like to see my food,and theirs is not displayed out front like most Caribbean restaurants. However, I don't let it stop me at other places right? Used the Groupon Daily Deal to give this place a try, started out with a spicy Jamaican patty, then added oxtails with peas rice and cabbage as the main entrée, and as I was getting ready to leave I saw they had brown dog candy. Loved the patties, they were meaty, and the crust was flaky. Oxtails are usually pricy, but they really gave you your monies worth, and the tails were meaty and tender. They really hooked me with the brown dog candy. I haven't seen brown dog candy since I was a kid when my mother uses to make it. It tasted just like I remembered. It was a freshly fried whole snapper, and yes the head was still on. Thats the way i like it. This is a small place tucked away in a small mini mall. The staff was very friendly. They also served patties that smelled wonderful and other jamaican delicacies. Next time I will have to order one to test it out. The menu board is computerized and high top seating is limited. I have not had anything else here other than the all-famous, super delicious Jamaican Beef Patties. A little info: I am Colombian and Ecuadorian... if you look at my review for Miracali Bakery, you may notice that I like these patty-like foods. I often compare all patties to the Colombian ones I eat in NY but these Jamaican Beef Patties are all on their own! The Caribbean Sunshine Bakery has laid down its flavors to a tee. I have gone many times to get my beloved Jamaican patties and they have always tasted the same: delicious, full of Caribbean spices, a kick of heat, and extremely huge portions. I eat one patty and remain full for the rest of the day. However, when I go, I make sure to order about 4 patties because once I get home, my family will surely confiscate my left over Jamaican patties. You have a choice of beef or chicken and whatever level of spice. I've had both the beef and chicken, which are amazing! As with many things, the chicken is more lean but the beef patty is the original. They are quick about getting your order together so no worries about pre-ordering. The bakery also has many ethnic beverages to offer. I will definitely have to try these when I go back! As for location, Silver Star is not the nicest area that Orlando has to offer but the parking lot for the bakery is huge so that's nice. Though I've only had the beef patties, I encourage anyone to eat from the rest of their menu.
