We booked this 6 months out and were most excited for this vendor. Tiki had an impressive body of work and we were impressed. In the months leading up to the party Tiki was very responsive. When reaching out to confirm how I can make the final payment he casually said Ken will be able to accept it. I asked who Ken was and he informed me that he was sorry for the mix up and he's mostly retired and Ken his son takes his gigs now. This was disappointing to hear, but two days out we tried to make the best of it. Tiki apologized and drew a photo of the birthday boy remotely to make up for it which we appreciated. On the day of Ken was very nice, showed up on time. He forgot a power strip, but fortunately the venue had one. Not sure what the work around would have been if they did not. He set up and got to work. Right away we noticed it took much longer per photo than expected. Most folks including us sat for 10-15 minutes. Much longer than the expected 3-5 minutes. A couple of days after the party we received the digital gallery link from Ken, and unfortunately for the whole party with a constant wait, only 11 people got pictures. Additionally when looking at how Digitoons sets up in Yelp reviews, they put up a sign or banner advertising it. Unfortunately they did not for this, so it got around by word of mouth really. In the end it was a fun addition to the party, but felt a little like a like a bait and switch. We booked based on the quality of work that Tiki provided and while Ken is a very nice guy his art isn't up to par with his Dad. The Digitoons website in its entirety speaks about Tiki, not once does it mention anything else. I don't think they intentionally tried to bamboozle us, they seem like great people. We just didn't get what we paid for and only found out a few days before the party. Tiki informed me that his rate would have been much higher for himself, but that's not what's advertised on his site.

Yousef also initiated contact several times to make sure every detail was taken care of prior to the event. Yousef's talent was on display at the party and took time with every individual piece of art. No guest felt rushed or unimportant. We feel lucky that Yousef was the first caricature artist we contacted. At no time during the process did we feel the need to explore other options.

We were honestly scouring Kalakaua Ave, waiting to see if we could find the treasure that is Aaron and Saemee. I think we honestly found them because we did some honest to God detective work, determining and analyzing that a lot of their videos have Fendi as the background. Anyway, when we finally found the place (we should've just looked at their Instagram bio), we saw a couple getting their caricature done. They basically sold us on the experience because the guy was wearing a tshirt of the caricature they had gotten done from the same artist a while back. So, the guy who is getting a caricature drawn of him live was wearing a past caricature tshirt. It was a pretty meta moment, and the couple seemed really stoked to be there.. again. Long story told, we were sold! We went the following day promptly at 5:00 pm to be the first in line. Aaron was incredibly cordial and thoughtful in talking us through his artistic process. The sitting and modeling itself was quite an interesting hour. Several tourists and onlookers stood behind Aaron, laughing, making aghast reactions, and looking between the portraits and us. Introverts beware. Nonetheless, the audience brought about a nice sense of suspense for the final result. We were pleased and delighted by the outcome and the attention to detail. If you're hoping for a fun memory and experience of a lifetime, I'd highly recommend taking a seat at the Caricature Party! You won't regret it!

What's more fun than a photo booth? Caricatures! Frank was so easy to communicate with! He accommodated our party and showed up extra early. He was a hit! Everyone loved their caricatures. I loved the magic show and the vibes so they were the first group I thought of and wanted to book for my son's 1st birthday (my husband also loves magic shows so he was stoked we got to book with them). They were literally my one stop shop for MULTIPLE things! We did the party package pro + projector and screen rental. Everything from the inquiry, to the emails, to the payments, AND reminders (because I lose track of time a lot) all were such a smooth process. I'm naturally always anxious and stressed, and want to make sure everything runs smoothly. Sooo much of my anxiety was eased because of Balloon Twisters Hawaii. They were organized, timely, cleaned up after themselves, effectively communicated with my husband and I, AND were such a breath of fresh air with their humor. We did the Stay and Play package which included dress up, face paint, nails, and play time. In addition to the cute princess outfits, they had a great boy / career collection. My boy was able to dress up like a Jedi with face stripes like Ahsoka. She even painted light sabers on his arms. He felt beyond special. The girls were more predictable with a mermaid and a unicorn with matching face paint and sparkly pink nails. They loved running around with stick horses, playing tea party, and exploring the mermaid seashell perch.
