Blue shell crabs

Purchased 3 dozen crabs male and female. My brother-in-law thought ...all 3 dozen are in one bagThe sample crabs the seller offered to us were not what was sold to us. Those were a nice size. What was in the bag were 2-2 1/2. My niece described them as babies and teenagers. In other words they were not adult crabs. Isn't it against the law to keep and sell crabs smaller than 5 inches. Beware of false advertisement and this also explains why there is a "no refund"sign in the store. The good would be they did taste good. Very well seasoned

I finally found this spot after driving around the Williamsburg area a half-a-day.. Mr. Carino is a gentleman and a scholar..My maryland Blues and Spice was point! No complaints from me or wifey! This was a good find for our mini road-trip!

Like everyone said, it's not a restaurant. It is a seafood market in a interesting cluster of shops. They will cook the food for you. The food is fresh and they steamed to perfection.

While visiting Williamsburg in early May, we were having no luck finding Maryland blue crabs in restaurants/markets without driving too far. After a couple days of searching, this is the only seafood market nearby that have them. It's a small run down looking shack, but they have the blue crabs available along other seafood as well. They can even cook them for you to go! Although the crabs were small in early season and all females, but they are quite meaty. More importantly we got our 'blue crab fix' :-D The owner and his wife was really nice.

Frying soft shell crabs- they were so good!!!!

Always helpful with choices and ways to cook it! This is my go to place. So much fresher than a grocery store!

The cleanest blue crab meat you will ever purchase in your life. Ultra fresh seafood. Great prices. Run by locals and shopped by locals.

I got a case of 110 large tasty Chesapeake bay oysters for just $45.00, that's less than half what is charged at the V.B. farmers market

The fresh catch meal included a simple house salad, and it took 30 minutes for the salad to arrive. Shortly after the salad arrived, our meals came out, and they were lukewarm. I had the grilled mahi mahi with lemon dill butter over some roasted fingerling potatoes and corn. While the fish itself was a nice piece and well prepared, its not-quite-warm temperature made it less appetizing to eat. The same was true for our other meals: the seafood pot pie and the mahi mahi fish tacos. While our waitress offered to have them all reheated, we both didn't have time as we had theatre tickets and reheating the tacos with their toppings, the pot pie with its pastry crust, and the seared fish didn't sound appealing. The restaurant's dining room was comfortable, and the bar area looked vibrant. Hopefully they are still breaking in their new facility, as we liked dining with them in their previous location.

What better than to be surrounded by quotes and eat great food. Such a novel idea (pun intended)…read morefor a restaurant. The entire place has quotes posted all over. My obsession with quotes started in high school where I would scribble them all over my notebooks and folders. So in honor of my bday weekend, my inner teen got a gift too. Additionally there are cute cards on the table with riddles/ conversation starters and court cases that the table can discuss and try and guess the ruling. The food. Admittedly, we came here for the quotes and the apple nachos so I can't speak much to the food other than we split some fried ravioli, a rack of ribs and a side of mac & cheese that were absolutely delightful. As for those apple nachos, they almost hit the perfect mark and could've done so with a drizzle of caramel. Our waiter was eager to accommodate us and grab us some caramel, but we told him never mind just a suggestion to the Chef. The ribs were cooked perfectly fall off the bone with not too much sauce and that mac & cheese was divine. Service was on point, food delicious, and ambience - perfection. Highly recommend, especially if you're vacationing in Williamsburg it is a unique treat that you won't find anywhere else.

The beer flight of local beers was fun.

Had this Cuban style pork with their sweet plantains and red bean with pork and a little bit of yucca in it.. remember to get the Yucca fries which are fantastic. But before I go further, I must say me and my husband tried their authentic Cuban sandwich, which is fabulous, but you have to have it with their three sauces. The wonderful part about the sandwiches that it's not mash down flat as a grilled cheese sandwich. It is light, airy, and crispy with plenty of meat and the right slice of Swiss cheese in between.. it wasn't busy for a Monday night, but the service was spot on! We will be back to try some more authentic Cuban food here. Enjoy your new experience.

The beef empanada had a great fried exterior but the filling fell flat. The ham croqueta was actually amazing, and I wish I had more of it. The fried yuca was fine but nothing special. And the sauces that came with this appetizer were pretty good. I ordered the vaca frita, under the impression that it would be flavorful and have a caramelized crisp on the outside. It had no flavor. I didn't see a speck of seasoning. The beef was chewy and isn't have the crisp that it was supposed to have. I squeezed the lemon that came with it over the meat and it did nothing for it. The vegetales salteados (roasted veggies) and the plantains were both delicious. I ordered a Coke Zero and was given a bottle, which was fine but not expected. The bottle had an expiration date of a month ago. Didn't realize it until about halfway through. We sat next to the door and had to swat at a fly and gnat throughout the meal. Annoying but i don't know what they could've done about that.

We had a wonderful experience eating here…read more We have lived in this area our whole lives and had never eaten here. We decided to give it a try and we we're definitely happy we did. The price was expensive for 2 people, $130 including tip but that included wine, appraiser and 2 full meals. The server was very friendly and professional. Our food was outstanding! Probably one of the best seafood restaurants we have ever been to. Definitely will return. Now we know where to go for our next special occasion.

It always sucks to have to write a tough review for a place that does seem to try so hard…read more Unfortunately, the food here really has much room for improvement. Let's start with the good. There's plenty of parking and the ambiance of this place is memorable, in a really dated (like borderline cheesy nautical decor) 80's kind of way. This place is also insanely dark, which seems to try and convey a romantic atmosphere, but it's just plain dark if you ask me. Now sadly, the food really is, for lack of a better word, pretty bad across the board. If there's anything on the menu you should stay the hell away from, it's definitely the French onion soup. The soup itself was so salty, it was absolutely inedible. It was promptly sent back and replaced with a clam chowder, which was on the other end of the spectrum - totally bland and absolutely devoid of any meaningful flavor. The entrees were no better. The stuffed flounder was expensive but tasted nowhere close to the price tag. The fish, like the chowder, was completely devoid of flavor and was not seasoned. The crab stuffing was mushy and not appetizing. Generally speaking, there was nothing appetizing about the meal, including the palate cleanser, which had no discernible taste as well (even though it was supposed to be some kind of lime sherbet of sorts). Again, this place tries hard to be upscale, but absolutely falls flat on the food. Even the rolls and opening weird coffee cake like kind of bread they serve were bland or tasted off. The service was also spotty and confusing all night. Our server was friendly and did do her best to keep up, but generally the food took a long time and it took 20 minutes to even get water. At least the host was friendly and the staff in general did seem to try their best despite being not up to par to the kind of upscale experience they try to emulate. At least the meal ended alright. The flambe dessert (I chose peach) was a nice little show, mostly because this old fashioned dated experience is literally nowhere to be seen in the NYC area these days, so it was nice to sort of relive a cheesy memory. The taste of the dessert was also a nice throwback to older times, though I'm not sure if this was meant to be an actual nostalgia trip here. In the end, given the presence of better dining options close by, I'd say you're better off going somewhere else.
