Worse experience ever and I am in my 60's and had dozens of cars in my life, DO NOT BUY FROM CARITE COCOA BEACH. The SUV I bought broke down (engine) less than 24hrs after I left there, Engine blew. I was hundreds of miles away, stuck on the side of the highway. They gave me a useless warranty from another useless company (GWC). Imagine your engine blew less than 24 hours from you having your 2019 SUV you just bought for $24,000 and nobody wants to take responsability. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I wish I would have read the numerous reviews before ever going to this glorified buy here pay here lot. Within one month of buying my Buick Encore I had paid $1,200 in repairs, not to mention for a rental while it was in the shop for a week and countless ubers. I still have children to get to school, and still have to make money which is hard without a vehicle. Currently it sits in the shop having to go back 8 days after it got out the first time. I'm just waiting for the report and cost. In case your wondering yes I bought the extended warranty they offer. Funny I havent been able to use it. I spoke with a salesperson about a car and discussed the condition, carfax, price, etc.. prior to arrival. I drove from Tampa Bay (about 2.5 hours) to view and test drive the car. I was given the keys and drove the car around alone for 10-15 minutes. When I returned I was interested in making a purchase. I provided credit info, then the sales manager came out and said the car is $6,000 more expensive and it was priced incorrectly on their website and in their documents. They threw a 3500$ charge on the end of the deal and told me the finance company did so. I bought a 2010 Chevy Silverado from these folks back in Dec 2017. John convinced me that it was a good idea to get the extended warranty. Cause if anything, when I sell or trade the vehicle I could get refunded for any unused portion of the warranty. Well come Oct 2019 I take paperwork(trade in info on Chevy and new vehicle info) to their office for them to initiate the refund process. Well 3 months later I find out they never sent the paperwork off. The warranty ran out due to time. Because of their screw up I lost my refund. Now they are refusing to accept responsibility claiming the plan was purchased under a different owner of Carite from time I purchased the warranty to now. What kind of horse crap is that? I spoke with John about a 2018 Buick, I was scheduled To come look at the car and most likely make a sale all cash if the car drove properly. I called john on Friday and he told me "I have eyes on the car" and we scheduled that I would come and look at the car on Sunday. We brought our daughter to Carite of Cocoa dealership to purchase a car. When we entered the office building we told a salesman which car we were interested in and he said "they paid way too much for that car and it would only be sold to the right person." Strange comment.... We were greeted by one salesman who helped us with our initial inspection of the car and test drive. When we returned we made an offer for the vehicle, which was advertised on their website as $17,900. The salesman then introduced us to his "coworker" who took over the sale. We offered $17,000 cash and the salesperson appeared to be receptive. When the salesman drafted the sales contract he added $3000.00 to the price of the car on top of tax, tags and title. Did he seriously think we wouldn't have a problem with that??? He said the advertised price of $17,900 would be "qualified" based on a financed purchase price and that the price was increased because we were not financing. He insisted (lied) that this is explained in their website, which it was not! I reminded him that we were paying cash for the car. He said it would be more beneficial for them if we financed the car because they would be able to factor in their "kickbacks." We walked out. The dealership sold my husband and I a car they knew had a bad transmission. The manager dodged our calls initially, when we FINALLY received a call back and explained the situation he offered NO SOLUTION to the problem. The car was looked at 3 days after purchase and we were told to bring it back, had the car looked at by the actual manufacturer the next day with the same result. We are now THOUSANDS out of pocket for a transmission on a car we haven't even had a month, I've only driven it MAYBE a week in 30 days it's been In the shop the rest of the time, we had to pay for a rental. They also told us the car went through a certified inspection which we found out per the manager, according to him they only do a minimal safety inspection which is also not true because this car would have never passed inspection with the transmission problem it had. Don't even get me started on what the filters looked like when I replaced those less then 24hrs after purchasing the car. Don't waste your time or money here. They will take advantage and lie to you to get you to leave with a vehicle. Then are completely rude to you once you call them out on their lies. I have never been lied to so much in my life. This car dealership knowingly took advantage of a disabled veteran and did not care. What's sad is they have a "disabled veteran" as an employee there and he let this all happen. I was told the price of the vehicle I purchased was actually $3,000 more than the asking price on the site. Then I was told they could get me a better deal with their financing department, which was a lie. I was also told if my bank came back better they'd just rip up the original contract and go with mine (I asked 3 times if that was actually the case)...another lie. I was told the cost of the vehicle was about $33k when everything was all said and done...another lie. He did not add in taxes bringing the total to over $37k. The vehicle had sensor and tire issues when purchased and stated I wouldn't take the vehicle until it was fixed. I was told I could have my local mechanic fix it since I live over 90 minutes away but a few days later I found out that was another lie and I would have to bring the vehicle back up there to get these issues fixed. After finally getting approved from my bank for the actual amount owed, I sent them a check. They informed me it was out of their hands because they sent everything to their bank already and I would have to go through them to get the loan switched over. They said I wouldn't be charged interest because it was before the 30 day mark (another lie) and it would be just an easy fix (another lie, I had to cancel this loan and reapply for a refinance hurting my credit again). Thankfully my bank is extremely helpful and have been assisting me in this process. Every employee (Neil & Roy) I dealt with including the manager Juan Bonilla has been extremely disrespectful and rude to me about this situation. I have been yelled at over the phone and hung up on when they got upset. When I tried explaining the situation to someone in finance he continued to talk over me and cut me off so I could not finish my statements. I made it EXTREMELY clear when I was there that if what they were telling me wasn't true I wouldn't take the vehicle, but he reassured me every single time just so I would take the vehicle home that day!!! This has left an awful taste in my mouth about this company and the salesman, Neil Fleischmajer, is the epitome of lying used car salesman. So my wife wanted a new car. We landed up here yay. I watched as they repeatedly lied to her. But by the time I got to talk to her alone she believed their lies. And we bought a car with two accidents on it. They promised up and down they would repair all of it. Two times on two separate occasions JOSH promised to have the front fixed. We got the car back today and they did not fix it. I brought it back and Josh said he never said anything about the front right or paint that they promised. Then they had the nerve to blame it on my attitude because I knew they were liars from the beginning. Okay. I had contacted the dealership regarding a sonata they had available on the lot. I was texting with the salesman and asked specifically if the vehicle was non smoker in which the reply was that it was a non smoker car. I later learned the salesman was a smoker. I was wanting to clarify this detail as I was taking an Uber from an hour away and did not want to waste my time or money traveling to the dealership. The second I got into the car, I could tell it was smoked in. I proceeded with the test drive and immediately had issues. The first issue backup camera displayed a white screen. Then, as I was driving, the cruise control would not work as the radar system was also showing an error. The blind spot monitors also showed an error and would not function. The moonroof and moonroof visor were inoperable. Upon returning to the dealership I looked at the rearview camera and it looked like it had suffered a blow to it leaving it inoperable for image production. I asked to be compensated for my Uber there and now back as I was no longer planning on purchasing a vehicle. I was left waiting for more than an hour to speak to a manager regarding this, only to be told they don't do that and I had to speak with the owner and they were on vacation for 9 days from that point. The manager I spoke with was Dave, who also informed me that every issue I had with the vehicle had been fixed in the past and now doesn't work. He offered to fix it again. I don't know why anyone would want the car to be fixed if everything had already been fixed once and then simultaneously broke again. I contacted Carite's corporate email to get in touch with the owner as I wanted to see about reconciling the issue before leaving a review. I was contacted by a gentleman named Len whom I was told was the owner by the management I spoke with at the dealership. He was willing to refund the Uber and upon discussing this, I stopped receiving replies. I attempted to contact him a couple of times and have had no responses.
