I decided to return to Ron Norris Ford to have it checked. My advisor was busy with several customers, so he suggested I go around back and ask a mechanic to check the tire pressure to see what was going on. I asked Mike who was working with tires if he would check the tire pressure because the Low Pressure Light had turned on. Without hesitation, he got a tire gauge, checked all 4 tires and concluded there was no problem with them. Then he got the computer that controls the light and reprogrammed it. I was back on the road and headed south in less than a hour! I am very grateful that Mike was able to help me so quickly and get me back to my trip so soon.

Again, the most important thing to keep in mind when shopping for a car or getting cash for your collision vehicle, is trust. These guys are the trust!

The owner, Robbie, worked with us and we were able to come to an agreement. BMW being fixed today, and Robbie was very apologetic and takes his family owned business very seriously. Happy we were able to fix the communication problems and I plan on continue using their services. I recommend supporting locally owned businesses in our community and I hope to be a returning customer for the next several years to come. Hard to find trustworthy auto repair shops. I appreciate and respect Robbie's willingness to resolve the communication issue.

I first called to ask for a quote for a specific repair job for a specific car. They would not provide a quote over the phone as a couple of other shops did. They insisted I bring the car in for diagnosis, so at the appointed time I showed up with the car. After three hours of waiting, they provided a quote for the service I asked for that was ~50% higher than the next closest quote. They also did a 'courtesy inspection' which I did not ask for. This inspection resulted in 7 additional recommended items totaling about $1,800. Things like this fluid change, that cleaning, etc. The car has 300k miles on it, and the majority of these items have never been done. The experience reminds me of the slick marketing we get at the dealership repair shops, and is exactly what I was hoping to avoid by choosing a 'family-owned' shop. The actual work product may in fact be excellent; I don't know. But it is probably over priced.

I really liked this car at the time, so I researched online for nearly two months and took notes for comparison. Ultimately, Lexus dealer offered the best value for money, so I bought this car. Later, I noticed that there was some paint chipping on one side mirror. Since it was within the warranty period, I had it repaired at a Lexus dealer in Melbourne, and this was entirely free of charge. During this time, they also provided me with a replacement vehicle. Later on, there were cracks in the car's interior, and I went to the Melbourne Lexus dealer. They told me the cost would be very high and suggested I go to a smaller auto repair shop. Later, I discovered that Lexus had issued a recall for this issue, meaning many cars from this batch had similar problems. We contacted the Melbourne Lexus Dealer again, but they said the recall period had ended. When we asked why we weren't notified, they said it was because we didn't have maintenance done at their dealership. My questions are: 1. When I purchased the vehicle, I didn't sign any contract requiring maintenance at a Lexus dealer. 2. Lexus covers all the costs for recalls, so why didn't the Melbourne Lexus dealer or JM Lexus notify me? Lexus is a high-end brand under Toyota, but the behavior of Lexus dealerships in this matter is very disappointing and, some might say, unacceptable. At the time, my English proficiency and understanding of the law were not very good, but I have since gained a better understanding through online research, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, and learned about my legal rights. This car has been through two major accidents, but the engine and major components are still functioning properly. What I love most about this car is its built-in CD changer that can hold six CDs at once, which was a standout feature at the time. Additionally, the car's exterior design is very sleek, and the streamlined headlights are beautifully designed. If this were to happen in Japan, the person in charge at Lexus would personally apologize and ensure the car is repaired. This is because I am very familiar with the Japanese work ethic.
