I have known Steve going on 14 years now. He's definitely a very kind and understanding person and…read morehe's most certainly a man of his word. He often goes out of his way to help his customers, I when I said that he is always willing to go out of his way, I'm mean from the day you make your initial down payment on your vehicle, until the day you make your final payment, he is there for you. He's definitely a man of integrity, which isn't something that you come across easily these days. Don't get me wrong, he's has a business to run, and he's tough when he needs to be. That being said, he will bend over backwards to take care of his customers, he is just that kind of person. 14 years has passed since I first met Steve, and I still think back on my experience with purchasing from RJL fondly. Additionally, Steve personally picks out each vehicle he sells, really takes the time to purchase the best cars for his customers, then services them to make sure they are in top running condition, and finally, he sells them at a reasonable price. I've heard customers say, on numerous occasions, that their experience with purchasing a care from RJL has been so great, that they now refuse to purchase their vehicles from anyone else but Steve. I actually went by went by RJL recently (after 14 years...) and I can safely say that Steve hasn't changed one bit, he's still the super awesome, easy to talk to, and kind hearted person that sold me one of my favorite cars to date (a 96 Mitsubishi Eclipse), he's still the same, hard working, caring person, that was so good to me all those years ago. He cares not only for the quality of his business, but for his overall reputation, for his customers, for his employees, and he's also one of those rare business owners who genuinely cares about offering his customers a quality product and at a reasonable price. You can pretty much guarantee that any vehicle you decide to purchase from RJL is going to be a good one, he's not one to cut corners at the expense of his customers, if anything he put's the needs of his customers above all else, even his overall profit from a sale. If you are considering purchasing a vehicle from RJL, please take my word for it and don't hesitate to purchase from Steve. He has a great selection of quality vehicles, competitive pricing, and offers excellent customer service, service that I guarantee you won't find anywhere else. On top of all of this, he's actually cares about his customers, and that is not something you find everyday... especially when purchasing a car.

He called every day, and even went back to the lot to make sure they knew he was serious. Today, he was there at 830 to buy the car, and someone else arrived AFTER him, offered a few dollars more and took the car, right out from under his nose. This dealer is no kind of business man, and should be put out of business. A Man is nothing if he doesn't have his word, and the car dealer assured my friend, he could have the car, when it was ready to sell. Do yourself a favor and do business with someone else.

I almost never go to a dealership for service when it's not warranty covered, but this was a unique…read moresituation. Grok diagnosed my issue, but none of the local auto shops could get me in, and my car was dying at intersections. Kia got me in the same day that I called, concurred with the Grok diagnosis, and resolved the issue before lunchtime... and bonus, didn't charge me an obscene fee. Sure they offered additional service up-charges. Sure they tried selling me a new car. Sure their WiFi was unusable for Zoom calls over VPN. But most of that was expected. Thank you to Dustin and the rest of the team who got me ready for a road trip. Much appreciated!

This is going to be a long review, but I want to share my full experience so future customers…read moreunderstand what they may be walking into. My first interaction with Jackson Kia started online after I received a Kelley Blue Book offer for my vehicle. Shortly after, I began receiving multiple calls from the dealership expressing strong interest in purchasing my car. During the first conversation, I was completely transparent that I was currently in a lease with Acura but was interested in potentially getting out of it and purchasing a Kia. From the start, the experience felt pressured. A manager told me I needed to make an appointment and made a point to say that if I didn't come in, it would take away from other customers and the dealership. That immediately made me uncomfortable. That same week, I received at least five more calls from different salespeople asking when I was coming in. I explained multiple times that my fiancé was also purchasing a truck that day and that we would come in when we could. I was told they would be "ready" & "roll out the red carpet" for us. When we arrived, it was clear they had no idea who I was. A salesperson sat down with us, pulled up inventory, and took notes on all of the vehicles I was interested in. Once I mentioned my Acura lease, he brought over a manager who immediately began asking how much I owed. At that point, I simply wanted the offer on my vehicle that they had aggressively contacted me about. Instead, I was told Acura blocks dealerships and they couldn't help me get out of the lease. That was fine - I said I'd handle that myself and reiterated that I was still interested in purchasing a Kia, cash. While there, my fiancé asked for an appraisal on his Toyota 4Runner to compare it to another dealership's offer. They were gone for less than five minutes and came back with "about $10,000," handed him the keys, closed the browser, shook our hands, and ushered us out. No breakdown, no effort. I wasn't even offered the chance to see a single vehicle I had come in for. For context, another dealership had already offered him $24,000, and the next one offered over $20,000. The offer from Kia was an obvious lowball & made it clear they had no interest in working with us once they realized the lease situation wasn't easy. We walked out stunned wondering if that actually just happened. The next day, I received a text from a manager saying, "We're sorry we missed you yesterday." This showed a complete lack of communication, considering I had been physically in the dealership the day before. I explained what happened and commented that the "red carpet" they promised felt like a joke. Trying to recover the situation, the manager told me there were "ways around" the lease and encouraged us to come back. After confirming details with Acura, we foolishly gave them another chance. During this visit, the same manager accidentally sent me a text clearly meant for another employee about an upset customer arriving--unprofessional, but consistent with the pattern. He hyped up what he called an "insane, crazy deal" on a vehicle listed around $32,000, already over my stated $30,000 budget. He returned with a final number of $43,000 out the door, including nearly $11,000 in fees, one of which was an almost $5,000 mandatory warranty. If a fee is not optional, it should be included in the advertised price. These fees were significantly higher than every other dealership we visited. We walked away. We went on to work with several other dealerships including Dodge, Toyota, Honda, Acura, etc., and I can confidently say this was the worst experience. One dealership even warned us not to go to Jackson Kia because of poor service and excessive fees. Ironically, I did decide to purchase a Kia--just not from Jackson Kia. The lack of communication, aggressive pressure followed by dismissal, and outrageous fees made this one of the most stressful car-buying experiences I've ever had. I will absolutely be warning others to avoid this dealership, because I would hate for anyone else to go through what we did.

The mechanic lied and stated the sensors were tripped because he replaced the battery. NOT! It needed a new catalytic converter. I was told the only thing wrong was a spring in the hatch that needed replacing. They let me drive off the lot and on I95 for 75 miles home. The next day, we couldn't reverse it because the calipers were frozen. We towed it to my mechanic. He put it on the lift and the under carriage was so rusted all the brake calipers were frozen or nearly frozen. there was a rust hole so large under the gas tank anything could have punctured the tank and killed us all. The brakes were repaired with the incorrect fittings which is illegal in most states. They would not accept the car back, offer me any compensation, nothing. They KNEW my 16-year-old daughter was going to drive this car and STILL let it off the lot. They are unscrupulous, typical used car salesmen that don't care about what happens to the people that drive their unsafe, substandard vehicles. The FTC states they have an obligation under the Used Car Rule to sell cars in good working order or DISCLOSE all if its deficiencies. If I had the money, boy, would I love to take them to court. But once again, the bad guy has won. GO TO ANYONE ELSE BUT THEM!!!!
