Believe all the bad reviews of this company. Unfortunately I have to deal with them as I have a claim with their client, ACE CAR RENTALS. This claim has been about 6 months now. Claims adjuster, Micheal Clayton has shown how incompetent one can be and still hold a job. His immediate supervisors, Ms.Marquez and Dianna Wheeler, show no professional courtesy buy refusing to address the issue. I have finally resorted to contacting Angelique King, Executive Vice President. She did respond, but "has no clout" to go over Mr. Clayton's false findings. My take on this company is that a SMALL FENDER BENDER, caused by their client, and admitted at 100% fault, will still call me a liar and look for a way out, not paying up for their clients accident. read more

I filed a claim against VTA bus company because of an illegal strike. The claims adjuster Ann I spoke is ruthless dishonest and lies. VTA had liability. My claim was denied after one week. This information was sent through a voice mail. Then Anne the adjuster said I would get a rejected claim letter in 60 days. This company is inept and is very unprofessional from my experience with Anne the claims adjuster. I will also that the claims adjuster for VTA who works with this claim adjuster Anne is not their to help the claimant but to try and reject every claim for he has to approve any claim that feels compensation should be paid to claimant. Threatened me with court action if I don't pay up $2500 for something I didn't do before they even got anything remotely close to evidence from their client. Then brought it down to $1500 because they charged for replacing the carpets with laminate and not for what carpets would have cost. Still no evidence that I caused any damage and having threatening language and demands in their communications. Genuinely the worst company to work with after the Los Angeles Metro Bus hit my car. Brigitte Carroll-Andersen was my claims adjuster and was truly just awful to work with. Would purposely ignore my emails and wouldn't get back to me unless I tagged her supervisor. It wasn't until I politely pointed out that I have been nothing but kind and patient given the circumstances that she finally sent me paperwork to receive my over $10k in damages. And on top of that, they sent the check to my old address after I already updated my vehicle registration AND personally emailed them and called them explaining I moved. I would genuinely recommend just taking the LA Metro to small claims court than working with them individually. read more

This company ruined my life, and this is not an overstatement, by lying to me about their so-called investigation of my injury on a Metro bus so they could make the extremely short statute of limitations for these claims (6 months from their denial) run out before I could do anything. They denied my claim, told me not to worry since they would keep investigating, and their conclusion was a one-liner that they couldn't locate the bus in question. Nothing they do or tell you should be interpreted as anything other than they don't want to pay. Even though this is a claim against a government agency, they throw due process to the wind. If you are making a claim against Metro or any other Carl Warren client, you need a lawyer yesterday. I filed my claim for VTA's Capitol Avenue Lightrail Station own escalator ate my road bike. I went up it and a bent do Lange a t bottom grabbed my pedal and violently tore it from my grasp. Then it proceded to bend the frame, forks, and both tire and rims far beyond repair! I called. I got mailed claim forms. I filed papers in time frame. I did as told and required. I have waited 5+ months for a reply to my providing pictures, details, and other pertinent data and still nothing? It was a $2200 road bike in perfect condition...and I want it back! Now! Thank You for reading my plea. What else can I do? I have very limited resources and am suffering the debilitating effects of a stroke I had two weeks ago. They tried to use scare tactics so I would accept a low preliminary estimate for a car repair . A preliminary estimate is not "cost to repair". She said if I did not accept the check (it was a binding settlement) she could not pay me. The adjuster said she would get back to me in a few days after speaking with the bus driver the next morning. This was approximately 20 day ago. I got in touch with the school district and she suddenly called. (Even though I told her not to call. I wanted every thing documented from that point .) I have been trying to contact this department for 6 mos noe and have not received a response. Fire truck defaced my personal property while my car was parked in front of my home I have lived and paid taxes for over 30 yrs they were great in giving me the information I needed to get in contact with someone which happen to be my biggest nightmare of all. I have called numerous times, email, contact headquarters spoken to multiple phone operators and I have not even gotten a "we have received your claim". I am applauded by the service I have received and that I have not had a response at that matter. It makes me sick that if this was a regular citizen we would go to our insurance and have this resolved and even if we took it to court we would have it resolved. I have been a citizen of LA for over 35 yrs and this is how I am treated after paying my taxes and contributing to the county of LA. HORRIBLE schiesty and downright immoral company. I have no idea how these people sleep at night and I cannot believe that a huge company like Metro uses such a downright awful company to do their dirty work. The back side of my car was hit by a Metro bus while my boyfriend was driving and I was in the passengers seat. We were in the middle of making a right turn on a green light, the bus was STOPPED behind us in the bus lane picking up passengers, and it pulled out suddenly and smacked into the back side of my car. If we had been any further back in the turn, the bus would have hit me in the passengers seat. The driver even got out and admitted fault and told us it was his first week driving for Metro. Carl Warren & Co was in charge of taking my case since they are the insurance company for Metro. They've spent the past six months jerking me around. They have done everything to jerk me around, stall, and waste my time including neglecting to send an adjuster out immediately, they made me get my own car repair estimates instead (they tried to make me get three and I had to inform them that in the state of California I have the right to pick ONE mechanic of my choosing, then they backed off), they told me my registration didn't "count" because it's an out of state vehicle, and so many other things. They are also holding the video surveillance from the bus HOSTAGE. They won't let me see it, and they refuse to send it to my insurance company. They're now refusing to pay for my car damages after six months of jerking me around. Do yourself a favor, and PLEASE GET A LAWYER if you're dealing with these scumbags. I wish I had gotten one six months go when this happened. Now I'm having to go through the whole process of getting one now instead of back then when I should have. Like I said, these people are terrible and I have no idea how they have not been shut down. Actually, I do, it's because they're a private insurance company. If the California insurance commissioner has any say in this, I am positive these "people" (if you can even call them that because they clearly have no moral conscience), they would be shut down immediately.
