    Car repairs after purchasing

Purchased a Dodge Avenger from this dealership a couple of weeks ago, and it's been an absolute nightmare ever since. The car has had nothing but problems -- clearly a lemon -- and the dealership has been completely useless in addressing the issues. To make things worse, the manager, Mark, asked us to take down our initial negative review with the promise that they'd help cover the cost of repairs. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and removed the rating... only to be ghosted with no follow-through, no support, and definitely no deal on repairs. Just more empty promises. We've now wasted thousands of dollars on a car that should never have been sold in the first place. This place is dishonest, unprofessional, and not to be trusted. Absolutely stay away from this place. Total scam. Legal action is being pursued.

This place is located on the SW corner of 19th Ave and Mountain View Rd. Entrance is on Mountain View Rd. The hours are M-F 9am - 4pm and Sat 9am - 1pm (see photo). If you read the 1 star reviews most of them seem to be they bought a car and then something goes wrong. Most of these smaller used car places have a mechanic that does some minor repairs but in no way can you rely on that to be enough. The problem is this place will not let you take the car to a mechanic. There are mobile mechanics in the area around Carland. You can search them on your maps. These guys can check the car. Of course they cannot lift the car up and look under but it seems some kind of an inspection would be better than no inspection of cars at this place. Their prices look like good deals but it depends on how much is wrong with the cars. In one of the positive reviews Carland decided to fix the AC at no charge and in another review they only offered to inspect and then give a price for the repairs. We tried to get a Ford Edge looked at by a mobile mechanic but the car sold before I could get the guy there to check the car. The workers are friendly but the bottom line here is you need to get the cars some kind of inspection before you buy it, not after.

If i could give these muthafuckas zero stars, Id give them negative 5. This place is trash. Do not shop here. Sold me a car that broke down in 5 days, and it's taken 3 weeks and still haven't gotten my money back. It's poorly managed And they lack care and concern for anything outside of trying to move their fleet of shit vehicles. Bogus AF! I bought my car the 15th of July a 2010 Dodge Journey from Anthony (just in case y'all try that "we have no record" crap and took it back the 21st. Was told the "accountant" would have to be in In the morning to touch the vehicle. Today is the 6th of August and I still don't have my money. And can't get anyone who gives a shit to help me get it back. Just an update, it's now September and this piece of shit place still hasn't given me my money. Don't shop here.

Brought a car from this place all types off issues. And back got into a argument with one of those guys had to call police.

I wouldn't even give this company a half of a star. They scammed me out of my deposit on a 2006 Lexus and it had it posted on there site on offer up the next day. The car had check engine lights on when I told the salesman's about it they called the police and block my car in and wouldn't let me take it after I had already gave them the deposit saying that I had no warranty and they were canceling the deal. Please believe I will be going to court with this. Radio wasn't working air was not working and car was getting hot. Please do your research.

Scammers brought a car and broke down within 24 hours the guy kept saying you have no warranty had to call the police. Don't ever do business with this company. Guy was threading and didn't even want to fix the car.i should have looked at reviews before I went in to this lot. At least I know now.

See the GTS doesn't belong here. Beware this car is still on the lot

Being based in California, I was also pretty hesitant about buying a car out of state from Bell Lexus in Arizona, but David Jensen completely changed my mind. Right from the start, David never made me feel pressured. He took the time to listen to what features and packages actually mattered to me, and he was completely transparent about both the car and the pricing. Finding a 2026 Lexus RX 450h+ locally was a nightmare--dealerships across Northern and Southern CA (and even NV) acted like they were doing me a favor just talking to me. Half of them didn't reply to emails, took days to return calls, or refused to give a written quote. David, on the other hand, was lightning-fast with his responses over text, phone, and email. What stood out the most was that he didn't disappear after the deal was signed. He kept me updated while finance finished up, walked me through the shipping process from Arizona, and even made sure I knew exactly what to do for California DMV registration. After buying several cars in CA over the years, this was by far the smoothest and most stress-free experience. If you're looking for a Lexus, do yourself a favor and reach out to David Jensen at Bell Lexus. He's as genuine as they come, and he's definitely my go-to guy for any future purchases.

He took the time to answer all of my questions, walked me through the features, and made sure I felt confident before making my decision. We even went on a test drive so I could really get a feel for the vehicle, and he thoroughly went over everything with me before I drove off. I ended up purchasing a beautiful 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, and I honestly couldn't be happier. The vehicle was in excellent condition and looked even better in person. What impressed me the most was that the great customer service didn't stop after the sale. Gary has continued to be helpful, responsive, and genuinely cares that I'm happy with my purchase. If you're looking for a dealership that values customer service and makes the experience enjoyable, I'd absolutely recommend Bell Lexus. Thank you, Gary, for helping me find my dream Jeep and making the entire process such a positive one!

Unfortunately, my experience did not match the promises that were made. Throughout the car-buying process, I was told several things that either turned out to be untrue or that I had to repeatedly follow up on and fight to have honored. After the sale, I found myself being ignored and eventually had to show up at the dealership in person just to get results. That was incredibly frustrating, especially after believing I was working with people I could trust. The final straw was my recent service visit. I was under the impression that my extended warranty covered the damage I brought the vehicle in for, only to find out that wasn't the case. Even worse, when I left the dealership, my side mirror was literally hanging off my vehicle while I was driving on the highway. It was not like that when I dropped my car off. It became a serious safety hazard, and I nearly had an accident because of it. I even have video of the mirror hanging as I drove away. I ended up taking my vehicle to another mechanic, who was able to secure the mirror properly in a matter of moments. It was incredibly disappointing that my vehicle left the dealership in worse condition than when I brought it in. I do want to recognize that my service advisor was excellent. They were communicative and treated me well, and I appreciate their professionalism. My frustration is with the overall experience, the broken promises, and the quality of the work performed. I had originally planned to recommend this dealership to friends and family because I believed everyone was being genuine. Unfortunately, after everything I experienced, I can no longer recommend either the sales department or the service department. Kindness is appreciated, but honesty, integrity, and quality workmanship matter even more.

I was very leary of purchasing pre-owned as I have heard so many horror car buying stories of shady salesman, selling faulty vehicles and lacking clarity about the true vehicle condition, so I started my research. It took me close to a month of research, before I found a preowned dealership that still honored integrity. I knew the cars I was interested in and found my way to Goldie's. I was working with another dealership, as I had been pre-approved, but let me tell you what made the difference.. the service at Goldie's ! Through text and email, John, my sales-friend, (I call him) was so relatable and communicative. Walking in I have to admit is pretty cool, in the show room they had a old school IMMACULATE Corvette, a skew ball machine, and arcade games it felt unlike any other dealership I had walked in. The owners son greeted me and asked if I needed anything and to let him know if I did! He was the sweetest teenager. When they say Goldie's is a family business they really mean it ! I was working with John and let me tell you he was so transparent and honest it was like a breath of fresh air. I had considered other vehicles they had but he talked me through the maintenance cost, resale value and common mechanical issues each of the cars I had considered. Once I settled on a vehicle he was able to check for me the maintenance records as well as reviewed the carfax report with me. When I took the car for a test drive he told me to take my time get to know the car and make sure it was right for me. I never felt pressured to purchase. I was having a horrible time in dealing with the insurance payout of my previous vehicle and John was very empathetic in understanding my situation. He had set expectations before I came that with the insurance payout being delayed I may not be able to take the vehicle the vehicle home. I was thrilled with the no pressure atmosphere, and just came to take a look at the vehicle in person, with zero expectation to buy. John and his manager worked magic. I did in fact decide to purchase my vehicle and was able to take it home, there is a small cosmetic issue that I requested to have repaired and he called immediately and got the approval to get it taken care of. I'll be returning later this week to have that completed. I'll keep you guys posted after the service appointment. I had a great experience and I feel I got a good deal on my vehicle and, I felt like my business was valued, my concerns were heard and they've made a lifelong customer out of me ! Special thanks to Goldie's and super special thanks to John!

This was easily one of the most unpleasant customer service experiences I've had in a long time. What should have been a simple test drive turned into an unnecessarily uncomfortable experience because of how dismissive and sarcastic the salesperson became once he realized we weren't buying a car that day. I called about 30 minutes before arriving and specifically asked if the car I was interested in was available to test drive. I live about 40 minutes away, so I wanted to make sure the trip would be worthwhile. I was told the car was available and that I was welcome to come in. When we arrived, we worked with Maroon. We were completely upfront from the beginning that we were there to test drive a couple of vehicles and continue our research. We never claimed we were buying a car that day, and we even asked if it was okay that we were just test driving. Maroon responded with, "Of course, it's free." Ironically, after driving 40 minutes to get there, we weren't even able to test drive the main vehicle I had called about because the battery in the key fob was dead. At that point, I decided to test drive a backup vehicle I had also been interested in, but that's when the experience started going downhill. Once it became clear that we weren't purchasing a vehicle that day, Maroon's attitude noticeably changed. He seemed less interested in helping us, less engaged, and generally annoyed that we were there simply trying to evaluate vehicles before making a major purchase. The moment that really stood out was when my brother asked where the restroom was. Instead of simply answering the question, Maroon pointed and sarcastically replied, "That's free too." It was such an unnecessary comment that it genuinely caught us off guard. Between that remark and the overall change in attitude, it became pretty obvious that he viewed us as a waste of time because we weren't ready to sign paperwork on the spot. What I don't understand is how dealerships expect customers to make a decision without first driving the car and comparing it to other options. That's literally the purpose of a test drive. Not everyone walks into a dealership ready to spend tens of thousands of dollars within the next hour. Honestly, if you're looking to test drive vehicles and actually get a feel for them without pressure, I'd recommend CarMax whenever possible. In my experience, they're far more relaxed about the process and typically let you take the car out for around 20 minutes so you can get a real impression of it. I would have gone to CarMax for this vehicle too, but unfortunately they didn't have the specific model I wanted, which is why I ended up here instead. This experience has honestly turned me off from traditional dealerships and salespeople altogether. Going forward, I'll probably stick with CarMax or private sellers whenever I can. At least there, I don't feel like I'm being judged for wanting to do research before making one of the biggest purchases most people make. If customers who simply want to test drive a vehicle are considered an inconvenience, then maybe that's something management should address. No customer should feel mocked or dismissed for wanting to make an informed decision. If customers taking a test drive are viewed as a waste of time, then maybe don't invite them in after they've called ahead and driven 40 minutes to get there. Maroon had also told us that the vehicle I originally came to test drive would likely be ready by Monday and that I could come back then. Under different circumstances, I probably would have. However, after driving 40 minutes to the dealership, discovering that the vehicle I called ahead about wasn't even ready to test drive, and then being treated like an inconvenience for simply wanting to evaluate my options, I really had no interest in returning. If this is how potential customers are treated before a sale, I see no reason to give this dealership a second chance.

BEWARE! I purchased…read morea 2025 Tesla Cybertruck from Arizona Best Cars on August 18. Before I ever went to the dealership, I specifically asked by phone whether the Cybertruck had a clean title. I was told yes. During the test drive, I asked again whether the vehicle had a clean title. I was again told yes. I subsequently discovered that the vehicle had actually been repurchased by Tesla and carried a permanent Lemon Law Buyback title history. During closing, I was handed a document described simply as "the buyback disclosure." There was no meaningful explanation of why Tesla had repurchased the vehicle or of the underlying defects. More importantly, the form stated that I had received a separate manufacturer disclosure detailing the buyback history and corrected defects. That manufacturer disclosure was not provided to me. The dealership also presented a Kelley Blue Book valuation showing the Cybertruck worth approximately $82,000. I later obtained the actual financing documents from Capital One, which contain the same KBB valuation for this VIN. Nothing on the face of that valuation indicates an adjustment for the vehicle's Lemon Law Buyback history. After discovering the title history, I returned to the dealership on August 27 and asked why Tesla had bought the truck back. I was told it was essentially because of a door panel vibration/rattle. I asked for the documentation. Only then--nine days after I purchased the vehicle--was I given Tesla's actual Warranty Buyback Notice for the first time. It showed considerably more than a rattling door. Tesla's notice identified: * Interior Panel concern * Driver Assistance concern * Safety Restraint System concern It also showed repairs including replacement of the vehicle's car computer and other components. I asked Arizona Best Cars to unwind the transaction. They refused and instead offered to take the vehicle back as a trade, requiring me to absorb the financial loss. At this point, I am preserving the documentation surrounding this transaction and preparing formal complaints for review by the Arizona Department of Transportation Office of Inspector General and the Arizona Attorney General Consumer Protection Division. ADOT's Office of Inspector General specifically investigates complaints involving licensed automobile dealers and title-related issues, and the Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division reviews complaints concerning deceptive or unfair practices. Those agencies can determine whether what occurred here complied with Arizona law. If you are considering purchasing from this dealership, do not rely solely on verbal representations about title status, vehicle history, or value. Independently verify the title, obtain the manufacturer's complete buyback documentation before signing anything, and retain copies of every document presented to you. Anyone who has experienced similar issues with an Arizona automobile dealer should preserve their contracts, advertisements, title records, valuation documents, text messages, and other evidence and consider using Arizona's official consumer and dealer complaint processes.
