But I love their cars. Made an appointment, showed-up the day before to drop it off. Steve kindly greeted me at the desk, briefly gave me his background, dropped-off the keys & said he'll call me in the morning. I was pretty sure it didn't need anything but I wasn't holding my breath cuz you know how it goes with inspection stations... they ALWAYS find something. Like "the left side of your right brake pad has dirt on it. PA law requires no dirt on a brake pad. You must replace all of them!" Steve calls & says everything looks good, come pick it up! I'm grateful that More Than Tires has been a reliable place to go for annual inspections and repairs! It has been my experience that management here does their best to take care of your vehicle without trying to charge you for services or other suggestions you don't need. As an example, I recently needed tires for my vehicle, and they were able to work up several options ranging from the cheapest they could find on the market, to the premium upper range, as well as a reasonable mid grade too. I appreciate that I can schedule service and drop my vehicle off the night before, which makes it way more convenient for me than having to sit and wait for the work to be done. The technicians here work efficiently and I've not had an issue that ended up requiring my vehicle to be here longer than they said it would need to be. Make sure you call ahead for an appointment though - like most garages that do good work, they AREN'T generally a "walk in same day" establishment! If you're looking for a garage, More Than Tires is a great option!

In conclusion learn how to fix your own car and make money off working on others cars so that these mediocre type of shops dont eat up your wallet.

My wife stopped to get gas at a local convenience store and when she was done her vehicle would not…read morestart. After repeated attempts to jump the vehicle we called AAA to tow the it to a local garage. While waiting for the tow truck, two very nice gentlemen pulled into the gas station to get kerosene. I apologized that our dead vehicle was in the way of the kerosene pump, and they asked me what was wrong and to try to start the engine because they were local mechanics. Once they heard the vehicle's sounds they knew what the problem was. They were extremely helpful so we told the tow truck to take the vehicle down the road to their garage. We dropped off the vehicle, they diagnosed the issue that night, and by late morning of the next day our issue was fixed. We want to thank the guys at Richwine's for being there for us and for fixing our vehicle. They were extremely helpful on a 24 degree night and they helped us out immensely. We will be taking all of our vehicle to them in the future. Thank you, Richwine's!

I dropped off my vehicle, a 2017 Dodge Durango. Upon starting my vehicle, a mechanic called me and said that they couldn't find the key to unlock the lug nuts. I am not a mechanic so I told him I didn't understand. I had the vehicle serviced a little over a month prior, including the tires rotated so I know Faulkner has no problem removing the tires. The mechanic asked me if I wanted him to remove them and put factory lug nuts on. I told him I really didn't understand but if that is what he needs to do, then ok. When I went to pick up the vehicle, the 75.00 inspection was 184.00 plus tax. I was in shock and asked why, since my vehicle was purchased new, and well cared for I knew it did not need anything for inspection. The additional cost was for removal of the locking lug nuts and the purchase and installation of the factory ones he spoke of. At NO time during our conversation, did he say there was an additional cost involved. The woman at the counter said that two people searched the vehicle and couldn't find the key needed. I told her that I have never heard of a garage charging nearly three times the original cost without asking the vehicle owner if they are willing to pay it. I would have never ever paid for this. I would have waited and took the vehicle to Faulkner since they have never had an issue. The attitude displayed was unbelievable. If my car needed tires they wouldn't just put them on and say here is your 500.00 bill. They would call and say tires are 400.00 do you want us to put them on? I drove home in complete shock and called Faulkner. I asked the service manager if it was possible that they lost the key needed and told him what happened. He said he didn't think so but told me that the key is in the clearly marked compartment nearest the spare tire in the back. He asked me to check. He said if it wasn't there they would help me out. I checked and as soon as I opened the compartment, there it was. A bag which contained the key for the lug nuts and about any other thing you could possibly need if having to change a tire. I called Highlands back. The woman I spoke to said she went back and talked to the mechanic and he said I told him to do whatever he had to do. I told her I am not a mechanic and have no expertise and told him I didn't understand MULTIPLE times. My husband was a witness to this conversation as we were at breakfast when they called. He didn't understand either, just as if I called them with questions about my profession they too would likely be lost. At ANY TIME during our conversation, he could have said there will be a cost of 120.00 extra and I would have obviously been like no way! Why waste money when Faulkner has had no issue. I further told her that I called Faulkner and they directed me right to the location of the key they claimed was not in the vehicle. Her only answer was that two people checked "everywhere" and couldn't locate it. Now seriously, the place the tool was was clearly marked in the back by the spare. So no, not only didn't they check everywhere, I doubt they checked anywhere. They could have googled it, called the dealership, explained to me as the Faulkner service manager did, they did none of that. As the final , most unprofessional blow, the woman told me that they didn't have time to be looking all over the place, and I should've presented the tool when I dropped off the vehicle with my insurance and registration card. Are you freaking serious? I have been driving SUV's over 30 years and have never been told to present the tool to unlock the lugnuts when dropping off my vehicle for inspection, oil change/tire rotation or anything.........ever. I asked to speak to the general manager and she said she WAS the general manager. HOLY COW!! They are thieves. Apparently the good experiences we have had with them with my husbands Challenger was a FLUKE, or maybe I looked like an easy target. Who knows, but I will find a new tire place, lesson learned. As a kid I grew up with my parents using the Highlands in Newville, which I am assuming are owned by the same people, wow have they become a disappointment. I see on their facebook page they say they are ethical. I think they are confused about what ethical is.
