They quoted me for treatment without telling me the quote was based on no insurance coverage, even though I provided my insurance information. Later, I found out the charges were way higher than what my plan allows. To make matters worse, they pressured me into signing up for a loan on the spot. When I filed a grievance with my insurance company, the office immediately sent me to collections. This is completely unethical. Always verify with your insurance BEFORE agreeing to any treatment here, because they do not make it clear. I would not recommend this office to anyone.

So now I had a third tooth that broke off and I did the same process and I never felt a thing and in fact afterwards no bleeding, no pain, very little swelling. So when you leave, 2 months later you are ready for your dentist to provide the crown. These are back molars but if you had a front tooth that time would be really critical. Dr. Y and his staff are just terrific from the minute you walk in the door, so compassionate and so professional. Dr Y is a really nice guy with a wonderful young family and does his work so smoothly and both times he called me that night to see how I was doing, he really takes pride in his patients and his work as does his team. It is a really simple process to go to Torrance Oral Surgery for any sort of that type work needed and you just can't receive better service and if you choose the sedation you will never know it what happened.

I was scheduled to come in for an extraction on one of my broken teeth and I was nervous. Ashley and the entire staff helped me calm down and when Dr Petcu came in to extract my tooth, he gave me words of encouragement and informed me I would not feel anything. He did not lie. I was numb amazingly well and I was able to survive the extraction. I highly recommend coming into this office and getting your teeth taken care of. They're bait and switch technique not only upset me but wasted my time, then tried to talk me into a payment plan. It's one thing to make a profit but it's a completely different thing to try to rip somebody off with a extremely over priced rate. Don't waste your time unless you have the money to burn. There's plenty of Dentists in the South Bay and it shouldn't be too difficult to find out if a better rate this cost-effective. At this point I'm seriously considering a trip to Mexico which is way cheaper with very qualified Dentist.

I was told it "should be covered by insurance" and that I'd only pay the difference, so I agreed to move forward. At checkout, I paid $350 and was told I'd be reimbursed after insurance was billed. Later, I found out my insurance didn't cover it at all. My concern wasn't that insurance denied the claim, it was that I was led to believe my coverage had been verified. Had I known I would likely be responsible for the full cost, I would have waited until I was financially ready. I asked if they could offer a discount given the misinformation, but after more than two months of trying to reach the manager, I was told there was nothing they could do because I had received the service. What disappointed me most was the lack of accountability and willingness to address my concerns. I ended up canceling my follow-up appointment and won't be returning. I would recommend confirming that your insurance has actually been verified before agreeing to any treatment that could leave you paying out of pocket.
