Filipino workers are so rude and condescending. They speak in their Tagalog language so harsh and loud, criticizing and making fun of their customers. I've made a conscious effort not to eat fast food because its soooooo bad for you. I haven't had CJ's in about a year now, and my coworkers wanted it for lunch, so I said why the hell not....I'll just run it off tomorrow! Not quite sure what it is about Carl's Jr. that brings it above all the other fast-food joints. Their burgers just taste better and are juicier. Sometimes, really nothing hits the spot better than a famous star. I don't even bother with the other menu items, although they do tend to offer a lot. This particular location has very nice people, has a convenient drive-through (hard to find in California), and is pretty efficient and fast. So, this review is not about the food, but the recent HUGE price hikes. I got the BLT Ranch hand-breaded chicken sandwich combo today. For what amounts to a couple of skinny chicken tenders on a bun with one sad little piece of lettuce, 2 strips of that ultra-thin bacon and dill ranch dressing, a 12 oz. drink, and small french fries, my bill was $16.03. $16.03!!!! What the hell, C-JR? I like the staff there, and the food is typically a solid 3.5, but it looks like you have priced yourself out of contention. I can eat cheaper with better quality at The Habit, Mooyah, Nation's, and a few others. No longer is Carl's Jr the good economical choice. Must be global warming or the pandemic... read more

I was surprised to find out there's a Carl's Jr. in Alameda a few years ago. The closest one that I knew of is in Hayward. I've always loved Carl's Jr. More than any of their competitors like McDonald's, Burger Kind, and Jack just to name a few. I think its because of their beef quality. It has a very different taste from all other fast food restaurants. Burgers at Carl's are bigger, have more beef and gives you a wide selection on the menu. When we came they had the doors locked and we had to knock and wait for the waitress to come out just to ask us "are you guys gonna buy something?" I have been coming to this Carl's Jr for about 2 years now and have to say that I have yet to find a single thing wrong with establishment. First off, the manager here is excellent; she always greets me with a smile and always seems to remember my order down to the drink. She always moves at a fast pace, I never seem to wait for my order for more than 5 minutes when she is here. This place may be more expensive than most fast food restaurants, but the quality is always excellent; its one of the few places around that tastes like the food items are made to order and made from scratch. Also, I think its pretty cool that they bring your order right out to your table; it makes me feel like customer satisfaction is their top priority. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the up keep of the lobby; its always very clean, in a 30 minute dine in period; you may see workers sweeping, wiping tables or emptying trash cans at least 3-4 times, now try comparing that to somewhere like Jack's; where your food tray sticks to the grimy tables. All in all, this place is great, I'll definitely be back soon, and to all you haters; if you don't like it then don't buy it or get off your A** and cook your own eggs at home :) read more

I haven't been to a Carl's Jr. in years!!! I wanted a jalapeño cheeseburger but they only had like, a thick patty version of a jalapeño cheeseburger (what a problem to have huh?) This is the second time I've gone to the Carl's Jr at Marina Village to buy something I've seen advertised on TV, only to be told that they "aren't a participating location". How does a "location" keep it's franchise name if they don't "participate"? I had previously used my EBT card here numerous times. This morning I go in to get breakfast. After taking my order the cashier goes to the manager and then comes back and tells me, "The manager says someone stole the thing you enter your pass code on. WTF!?! How is someone going to have time to disconnect it from the register and steal it in PLAIN SIGHT of the cashiers and cooks? And WHY would someone have any use for it to think of stealing it to begin with. OOOHHHH- maybe the manager "stole" it to make more money and to keep less welcome poor people from coming to this more upper class shopping center. AND yes the EBT payments were less because they have to not charge the taxes. So- why not just freaking be honest and say they aren't taking EBT anymore because it costs them more with the added bookkeeping time. This USED to be one of my favorite places. And it was one of the few that took EBT, which helps for people like me living in their vehicle. Sadly, today's experience only smacks of yet another area where gentrification in the bay area is harming so many people who, for whatever reason, cant keep up with corruption in the capitalistic demands for more and more financial resource. I went to the store on friday afternoon and went thru. Let me start off by saying to took me two days and I didnt want to curse. I'd give this store a MINUS 10 if I could!! Now normally I wouldnt complain BUT this is my second issue about this. Let me start off by saying I've manage a resturant so I know how it is. I know how a cups lid should be on. I got my cup and I wany about to put the cup in my drink holder and IT WAS NOT on properyly. The lid fell off spilling the large drink root beer all over my upolstery,. My white sweater that i purchased at Macy is ruined. I just got my upolstery cleaned. I had to pay $100 to get it cleaned again. What the made me the angriest about this is the manager ONLY offered me a rag to clean my upolstery. What is that going to do?? Theres nothing to fix over the drive thru woman incompetence. Again if the was the first issue I'd let it go BUT its not!! She NOT be in a position if she can not do a basic thing like making sure a lid is on a cup!! The manager DID NOT make an effort to even try to remedy the issue. I even showed her my sweater and didnt say anything thing. Not even sorry. Nothing!! Pristine clean, ultrafast service and friendly customer service. Bright windows and plenty of seating. This place continues to be great. The only place in town that can make a better burger than I do. I use to only go there when Jose was there, he always makes your order PERFECT !! My wife tells me all the time, tip them, I loved my lettuce wrap burger, (and she doesn't like burgers) Wed. I went there and Antonio took my order. Again, the best burger I have had since the last time I ate there. Now there are 2 employee's I know can surpass my expectations. For some reason, when one of the other employee's make my food, it just doesn't taste as good. Last week, my wife's breakfast sandwich, tasted sour, upon inspection, the lettuce on the bottom side was BROWN....once removed it was OK, but now she was eating just the guts, without a wrap......she was very disappointed. I have worked multiple jobs in food service so I know how to treat customers. 3/4 times I've been there the customer service is pretty good. But the second time I went with my husband, we pull into the drive thru and waited 20 mins. We talked into the box (if someone was wearing the headset they will hear you through the box from personal experience). We finally pull up to the window and the owner yells "Can I help you?!" With we politely answer that we have been waiting and would like to order. To which she replies whist still yelling, "You gotta wait, what is wrong with you??!"
