The interior space is small and there is not much ambiance, but the food is great and the people are nice. Notable dishes I've had: - Spicy Cumin Lamb hand-pulled noodles. Nice and spicy, hits the spot on a cold day. Big portion. - Cold Noodle/Liang Pi. Shareable appetizer or maybe a main if you're not too hungry or are sharing something like dumplings. - Pork Dumplings. I prefer these with sauce as opposed to the soup, but that's just me. Small teeny piece of lamb- I'm talking about less than a crouton size - for a dish that's almost $20, I think they can be more fair and generous with the lamb portions of this meal. The spicy beef sauce w/ noodle was soooo spicy and the depth of flavor wasn't really there. My partner ordered this and it was way too spicy for him, and I thought it was overly spicy also. Finally went to Wild Ginger! It took me a while because I was worried that it would be beyond my spice tolerance but I thought I should try and find out. Long story short, the food was so delicious! We got two items that seemed a bit less spicy, but overall it had the tingling spice and heat. We started with the cold noodle and then ended with the Dan Dan noodles and loved it all. Been here several times! It will not disappoint!!! The pulled noodles and dumplings are my go to! The chile oil is sooooo good and they sell it in a jar to take home! We came for lunch and dined inside. It's a small little space that feels very cozy and we got the tiger salad with the pork dumplings and the lamb slider. It came with one, but these sliders are huge and well worth it. Located right off of Park Street where you can walk off your food in the neighborhood by visiting nearby shops. Visited this spot after a hike, and it was just what we needed! Refreshing appetizers and carbs. We shared the Spicy Cucumber Salad and the Spicy & Sour Pork Dumplings in Sauce as starters. The cucumbers were my favorite--refreshing and nicely pickled (sweet and tangy). The sauce in the cucumber salad had a lot of chili oil and peppers though, so warning to those with sensitive tummies. The dumplings were good, but the Cucumber Salad stood out more. For the main dish, I had the Spicy & Tingly Beef Soup. The beef was very flavorful, and the noodles were thick. However, the broth was a bit on the lighter side, balances out the beef. It would have been nice to have extra condiments available to adjust the flavor to taste. I ordered the Lamb Burger and the Pork Dumplings in Spicy sauce and to my pleasant surprise - also received a most delicious complimentary cold noodle dish. The dumplings were good. I am biased in my review because the flavor wasn't exactly what I was craving for, but overall the dumpling was decent. Not as spicy as it sounds at all. The lamb burger was a bit too dry for my taste. I added the sauce from the pork dumplings to the burger to try to give it a bit more moisture. It was just eh. On the menu you can find cold noodle dishes, and hand-pulled noodles used for dishes in sauce with protein or in a warm soup with protein/veggies. There are also ramen noodle dishes, dumpling dishes in sauce or soup, and delicious street food like the pork or lamb burgers. Service is quick, pricing is extremely fair, and this is the type of heart happy spot supporting small business/super cool hole-in-the-wall IYKYK moment. The stewed pork burger (similar to a meat pocket) was so flavorful and juicy, with a crunch of veggie, I could have ordered a few more if it wasn't a quick pit-stop for lunch. Delicious. Their pulled noodles had great texture with the right amount of bounce - not gummy like you sometimes get elsewhere - though the sauce could have used more depth of flavor. It is a pretty small place but orders come out relatively quick. We ordered the dan dan noodles and the spicy mixed veggie hand pulled biang biang noodles. If you don't do spice well, the hand pulled noodle dishes may not be for you, but since I shared this bowl with my partner who does spice better than me, it wasn't as bad. I walked in and there were plenty of tables. Wild Ginger is a small restaurant with only 8 small square tables. They have to combine tables to handle larger groups. When I was there, customers asked to eat outside. So I saw them move a table to the sidewalk. I was greeted as I walked in, and was offered a table and a menu. The server gave me ice water, and she suggested some dishes. I was in the mood for a comfort food, so I ordered "Spicy Beef in Soup w/ Ramen." I asked for it to be mildly spicy. She advised me that the broth must be a little spicy to bring out the flavor. In about 10-mins, the server brought me a large bowl of steaming hot ramen soup. Thin sliced beef covered the top of the broth, with small pieces of veggies along the edges. I churned up the soup to reveal a generous amount of ramen. I gently sipped the broth. The spice level was just right. It was spicy enough to get your attention, but not spicy enough to numb my mouth. Overall, my bowl of beef ramen soup was rich, flavorful, and easy to eat. Of course, I ate with chopsticks and a soup spoon. Before I left I went to use the restroom. It was very roomy and clean. You have to walk by a kitchen prep area to get to it. I've been here a few times and one time the owner or cook came up to our table to recommend some items and talk about the type of food he serves. They're very nice people and very generous, especially when I came by on a slow Wednesday for a solo dinner and I was pretty hungry so I ordered a few new dishes I haven't tried before. I ordered the spicy tingly beef noodle soup, the lamb in sauce dumplings, and the ruo jia mo stewed pork slider and I was also offered a bit of their liang pi cold noodle on the house which I commend on them for going beyond their service and hospitality.
