Out of all the fast food restaurants around, Carl's has to be the most expensive for both its meals and ala carte items. They don't have a value menu like some of their competitors but do offer meal boxes that provide plenty of food for less than $7. Although their prices are higher; their quality goes far beyond what others produce. Where some restaurants have very similar tasting menu items with slight variations, this establishment offers many items that are unique from each other. Their burgers and chicken sandwiches are all very tasty and are definitely worth trying, especially when they have special releases and collaborations. You can't go wrong no matter what you choose, but I personally think that the famous star is an excellent choice for classic burger but when they are available I'd suggest trying the pastrami burger and some Froot Loops mini donuts for dessert. read more

This was my first experience at a Green Burrito. Having recently eaten a burger, I really didn't want another one. So when we stopped here on our way home from SF, I thought I was going to end up having some sort of chicken sandwich. Then I eyed their Green Burrito menu and saw that they had fish tacos! They were made from lightly-battered fish fillets, corn tortillas (heated, not fried), cabbage, salsa and a thousand island-like sauce. On the side were some refried beans and rice. I was really hoping the sauce they show in the ads on the burger would be close to the sauce McDonald puts on the Big Mac, but no. There is no flavor to this burger. The food is great, but they mess up orders and offer no compensation for having to wait for them to fix it. They gave my kid 4 chicken stars instead of 6 and instead of apologizing for taking down my order wrong, she insisted I pay more and wait longer. Funny, came through here on the way back from Yosemite. Gotta say Green Burrito wasn't bad. Would actually say it's way better than Taco Bell. I had a couple of tacos and my hubby had a wet burrito. He said his burrito was pretty good. It was a platter with rice and beans. Nice change from having to eat a burger on the run. Extra plus is the Starbucks across the parking lot. Every single time we come here we order the small combo and they make it a medium to upcharge us. This time I corrected the girl at the window and she gave me attitude in return. I know I said small a few times and she kept saying medium back to me. I get up to the window to pay and she still wanted to charge me for a medium. Also the menu prices don't actually reflect what they want to charge. The food isn't even that great here anymore. The soda syrup is all off on the machines it doesn't taste great.
