Older guy with the white hair was kinda rude. I'm in the service industry as well. So I try to be cool to everyone in the industry. I get it. But when I say hi and get nothing back. I'm gonna try again and I always say Have a good day or night. Older guy with the white hair had no response both times. He literally slammed his little window after hanging my food. He heard me both times and chose to be very rude. Just because you peaked WAY back and ended up working fast food until your old and grey doesn't give you a pass and to be D0uchy to your customers ESPECIALLY when they are being nice to you. Used to drive 1/2 way across town from the VA clinic just to patronize a Carl's Jr because they offer a military/veterans discount and I live in the Central Valley so it's a bit of a drive to & from my appointments. For some reason that discount now no longer applies to combos, like who's going to any fast food place and not getting a burger in a combo? Ordering items individually costs more, and without doing the math I think it's safe to say ordering this way, then getting the discount isn't likely to work out in my favor. In short, thank veterans/active duty for their service across the board, or don't effing bother. Literally every other Carl's Jr I patronize gives the discount, no conditions. Be Careful ordering here. I placed an online order on their app. I requested No Mayo, No Cheese on my burger. These requests did not print out on the order so I went into the restaurant first to ensure the order was made per my request. I was told by Juan P. that there was nothing he could do since the burger was already made with mayo and cheese. I had to buy another burger in the store and threw away to the first one since I couldn't eat it. I find it hard to believe that everywhere else (Taco Bell, McD's, BK) waits for you to arrive prior to starting your order. I do like to eat a nice quick burger once in a blue moon, while I'm not a huge fan of fast food I do eat in once every few months in general. While this one, it's not really local (don't have one in Dublin anymore), this is one is on my way home. I've eaten here a few time and at least during my morning visits, the place itself is pretty clean overall and even the bathroom was clean too the 1 time I had to wash my hands. Came here after going to GWL with my family we ordered our food which was a decent size order . I forgot to order the chicken nuggets stars for my autistic son and I figured since there was no one in line in the drive thru I can just add it to our order when we pay . I've passed this place quite a while when going to get pizza in the same shopping center. Parking is mostly away from the building because of the drive-thru. When I entered, I was mostly ignored. Within a couple of minutes, a woman at the drive-thru window turned to me, and said something to the young man next to her. He greeted me and took my order, a beer-battered fish sandwich combo. I was distracted and thought about fish being hit with full beer bottles. I bet the fish was softer after the treatment. Why don't they do that for steaks to tenderize them? In any case, he gave me a number, a cup, and a receipt. I found the soda fountain to have the Fuze iced tea that I normally get since they don't have Mountain Dew. There were many seats available and I took a booth, so that I could get out the computer and work on photos before I arrived home. It wasn't too long until the same young man brought my food to the table. He was again friendly and asked if I needed anything else. I've been coming to this Carl's Jr. location since I was a wee one. I remember my mom would always hit the salad bar. I wondered why she tortured herself with veggies when she could instead have fried food. Now as a 30-year old, I get it. If I'm trying to eat healthy, I like to go with the Charbroiled Chicken Salad. This salad is tasty and has hardly any calories. Fill up without fattening up. Onto more important topics, the Western Bacon Cheeseburger is my all-time favorite specialty burger. My daughter likes the bacon gauc burger so we go here to satisfy her. In order to get a decent size fry, you must order the large, otherwise, there's just hardly any. Then you can apparently choose different size drinks with the "combo", never very clear from the staff but always seem happy to charge the extra $3 + for decent size fries and a drink. While watching TV late last night, I became enticed with the new Carl's Jr. commercial which was promoting their lean but mean Jalapeño Turkey Burger. It looked great! So, I got into my car drove to my local Carl's Jr. and ordered myself one. My Jalapeño Turkey Burger was awesome. I loved that the patty was made of lean turkey meat and the bun was made of wheat bread. I could have asked the cook to hold the cheese and mayonnaise if I wanted an even healthier meal. I have to say this is the cleanest Carl's Jr. I have ever seen. The staff was overly friendly and helpful. To say the very least, I was pleased with the spicy, filling, fresh burger. I really try to avoid writing fast food places, as you will notice, unless I feel more than benevolent. Well, this is such the case. This place suckage! My son attends Granada High, which in the morning, or late afternoon is a 45 minute round trip across town. School started Last Monday, and I have been taking him to and fro, unlike last year, as I was working full time, and had my daughter to take at varying times. Wednesdays they get out early. I had "eaten" at 11 at my spt for Chinese, but today it was off. Maybe it was me, as it is usually consistent. But today, the sauce seemed a bit runny and not very flavorful and way too much celery, and I love celery...The eggrolls were very bland, and barely any meat. So, after not really touching my food and waiting 10 minutes after much eye contact with my srver, whom never approached me after giving me change, I was a bit hungry when I went to pick up my son. (Note, is this why many reviews about Chinese food service is bad?) Anyhoo, my son wasn't where he was supposed to be. He didn't have his phone on him. His friends were, even though I as not desinated to give them a ride. I offered, they accepted. I told them I would be right back, I was going to get something from the Jr. So, I get behind an SUV. And the lady is taking f o r e v e r .... I hear her repeating this and that, and it sounds like her fault. The line has now grown to wrapping around the building and into the parking lot. I *really* try to avoid reviewing fast food spots unless it's amazingly awesome or consistently horrible... Unfortunately, this location has let me down a few too many times. Carls Jr. as a chain isn't that bad, in the spectrum of greasy fast food burgers.... and even this location doesn't screw up the food items very often. It's the hand scooped milkshakes that they have a hard time with, time and time again... I've ordered a milkshake at this particular location about twice a month for the past few months. Every.single.time it has been off. A couple times they have been totally inedible and gross.... It's not like they're throwing random garbage in there, but they clearly do not train their employees on how to properly work the freaking machine. I do not know what exactly is so tricky about making a milkshake. Especially a milkshake that is pictured in mega-sized posters every 5 feet on your very own building... I would imagine that something like a mixed beverage should be fairly simple to pump out with similar taste, color and consistency given some basic training.... But that isn't how this location rolls. When they were running the mint shake as a featured flavor, I was handed a vanilla shake with a couple green globs of what I assume is the mint mix-in flavor, hovering oddly to the side of the cup. When I ordered the oreo shake, they handed me a shake that was over-mixed to the point of being totally brown and sludge-like.... sans any trace of oreo or the promised yum factor. If they weren't charging me $3 a pop for these concoctions, I might find it amusing. But they do, and I don't. So all in all, I say order with caution. You'll be safer to skip the milkshakes and stick to the burgers. read more

On my iPhone checking for wifi, I see there is a "Carls Jr" wifi, but it's locked and needs a password. Then employee kid comes to bring my food... Kid: here is your order. Me: thank you. Oh, and do you know the wifi password? Kid: no, I get asked that everyday. Wow. Rude! If you get asked everyday, perhaps you should ask your manager what the password is and if customers can use it. The girl working the counter tonight told us we were the last people she was letting in, despite the fact they were supposed to be open for some time further, because it was too cold to keep opening the front door. She said she didn't care if she got fired over it. (Not quite sure why she volunteered this info to us.) We should have took this as our cue to walk out. The food was un-cared-about, unsupervised, under cooked and disgusting. This is the the profile of absentee ownership. This is what happens when kids run the business with no adult supervision. A Clown Burger competitor close to home. By rule I don't rate fast food over three. Presuming we're comfortable with the expected menu selection, I judge a fast food establishment by a) Quality of the food. Is it hot? Is it fresh? Not over/under cooked? Will I get sick? b) Cleanliness. Dining area clean? Trash can overflowing? c) Service. Were we treated respectfully? Did we have to wait? Having said all this: This Carl's Jr food is fresh, they bring out the food to you with little wait. The soda dispensers have ice and the soda rich in syrup. And I can approach the trash can without rubber gloves. The dining area is large and clean. The worst I can say about the establishment there, is the sour coffee. read more

Carl's used to be really high up on my list of great burger places, but in the past year, they've made a lot of bad choices that have steered me away. I decided to give them another try for lunch today, and paid for it with a bad meal. They changed their fries a year ago. That was the beginning of the end. These new fries I guess are supposed to be healthier, but they taste horrible! I loved their old fries, but these new ones taste like Burger King fries (which I despise just as much). So I started to order a burger and drink (specifically excluding the fries), but now their burgers aren't as tasty as they once were. Unfortunately I can pin point what it is (I doubt it's due to the law of dimishing utility), but their burgers no longer have the allure they once did. Usually I'd have finished a burger and think "Hot damn that was a good burger", but more recently (including today), I'll eat a burger and my range of responses will be "eh" to a mild "yuck". Asked to use the restroom here and the girl at the counter said it was for paying customers. For example, one day I will get a burger from there and it will be done as perfect as A burger that you can get from Carls (which would normally only get a three and a half star rating at tops). We get our breakfast here a couple of times a week since Burger King down the street closed. The place is nice and clean, but the breakfast menu prices are very exorbitant compared to Burger King. Also, nobody is checking the regular coffee thermos as it always runs out of coffee in 9 of 10 instances that we were there. It's ridiculous that they only brew coffee when somebody orders breakfast. Then you have to wait for at least 15 minutes for the coffee to be ready and by the time it's done, your also done with your food. Coffee should be readily available so customers do not have to wait. The manager or supervisor should instruct their employees to check the coffee thermos every now and then. Better still, they should have a spare coffee thermos ready to be served when the other one goes empty. read more

Tonight my husband and I went to Carl's Jr. and we were extremely pleased with the service and food. The food was fresh and very fast and the employees Andrea and Wendy were amazing.
