Borderline false advertising. The $500 down is only with approved credit. If you could get approved credit you wouldn't be going to a "buy here pay here" place. Then the advertised price (which is way above Kelly Blue Book) is their cash price. If you use their credit, the price goes up 25%, you have to put 40% down and then you only get 24 months to pay. Very un-Christian business practice, taking advantage of people who are already in a tight spot. read more

Horrible place to buy from! We tried to make a payment and they refused the payment because they wanted to repo the truck and make another chunk off of it instead of allowing us keep it. We put 4000$ down on this truck! And have invested over another 4000$ since buying. what a horrible place! read more

The "good basic inspection" failed to note that the water heater for this travel trailer was cracked prior to sale. In addition, according to a text from the owner of CarMartSouth, Scott Fyan, that "during the inspection and delivery there was mildew in the rv-". The mildew was black mold. Neither issue was disclosed to us prior to our purchase. In good faith, we purchased a travel trailer that we pulled off of the lot with a Chevy Suburban that has a maximum pull weight of 5000lbs, because the lot manager assured us that we could. He even recommended the tow hitch to purchase and helped us install it. Shad Bolanger, the Sales Manager of CarMartSouth is"our RV specialist and expert in the field of rvs", according to the owner, Scott Fyan. If so, should he not have been aware that the dry weight of the travel trailer is actually 7800lbs, which is far over the factory pull weight of a Suburban. Shouldn't a "basic good inspection" for a travel trailer that features a tub, shower, toilet and sinks include a test by the 'expert'" to make sure that the water heater isn't cracked? Otherwise there can be no water. We would never have purchased such an expensive travel trailer if we had known that there would not be access to water. Upon notifying Shad Bolanger, the Sales Manager of CarMartSouth, that our camper was flooded by the water heater on the very first day, he assured us that he would replace it. That was on July 25th, 2018. The promises to make good on this very bad deal have gone on for months. To date, nothing has been done. No hate. No slander. Just well documented facts. This company sold us a very expensive rv that does not offer even the most basic functions that were supposed to be included. In addition, the public was put at risk by allowing us to drive off of their lot with a vehicle that was not capable of pulling such a load. Shad Bolanger, and his lot assistant, Wesley, had to come and rescue us off of the side of the road to help us complete our move. They happily delivered a non-functioning travel trailer to our rural destination, that we were supposed to be able to move ourselves. Shad and Wesley talked about the hills, after the delivery of the purchase and said "Oh, the Suburban could never have made this trip! My truck barely did." Ok, so why doesn't an "rv expert" know that we live in East Tennessee and that customers might want to go camping in their rv in the mountains? When we drove off of the lot, he cautioned us about just pulling out onto Pellissippi Parkway. We got stranded in Oak Ridge. There is nothing rural about Oak Ridge. This rv should have never left the lot, as it was an unsafe situation. We trusted the "rv specialist". Shad Bolanger. No return phone calls, lots of documentation and proof. This could have all been resolved, if they had just replaced the water heater as promised and disclosed the mold issue prior to sale. I wouldn't do business with this company again. Nothing has been resolved almost 4 months after the sale. I have not had access to running water and basic sanitation since the day of "delivery". I have had to be treated at the Emergency Room for black mold poisoning. I would strongly recommend that you read all reviews available before considering a purchase with this company. Stay away! They advertise "buy here pay here" financing with $500 down, no credit check. I bought a previous vehicle at a "buy here pay here" lot and had a great experience so I contacted them. The first thing they did was run a credit report. Then they told me I could buy something if I put $3000 down. The lady was from New York and was the rudest most obnoxious person I've ever talked too! Not sure how this is a local family business. When talking about this place to friends I ran into someone that used to work for them and he told me they do that to everyone. It's a bait and switch place out to fleece customers. I purchased a car from these Christian charlatans over 3 months ago. I received a small total loss settlement after a DUI accident and went to them with every penny I had to spend. She understood my situation and feigned compassion like no other. I felt understood and safe in making a car deal here. Julie got me into this car for what I had to spend, with minimal sales manipulation. Although it checked out and drove nicely initially, it has been 100% useless since 18 hours after purchase. The engine had been detailed to conceal a bad valve cover gasket leak, but that $1500 repair wasn't the worst of it. Vacuum hoses and parts concealed beneath the engine cover were broken and taped with electrical tape and a crucial gasket cover was glued together with gasket sealant. 24 hours later the battery was dead, the alternator was fried and I had a BEAUTIFUL Volkswagen lawn ornament of my very own. Being a single parent on a strict, fixed income means that this loss cannot be recovered. Our options for the past months have been to walk if we want to get anywhere. The entire crankshaft vent hose system was destroyed on both sides going in and coming out. I was able to enjoy and drive my $3,000 car for about 12 hours before realizing that I would have been better off lighting 3,000 $1 bills on fire and watching them burn. Upon contacting them less than 24 hours later I was told I was just out of luck as it came with no warranty. She told me she would see if they could at least get me dealer price on the parts, but never returned my call afterward. I was then forced to wait 6 weeks to receive a title that they'd had in their possession the entire time, with an attached odometer discrepancy statement. I called to ask if they could mail the title to me after this waiting period, since the car they sold me was not drivable and I could not get there to pick it up. Julie told me I'd have to pay her $15 by Credit Card over the phone to cover certified postage costs. Not a chance was I giving them more money so I opted not to do that. She then stated if I was unable to come collect it by the next day she was sending it back to the title clerk. So, if you want to risk losing every penny you have on a car that will end up useless because you can't afford the repairs after spending it all on the car and end up stuck with zero transportation options for months afterward, or until you're able to sell everything you own to try and purchase another vehicle - please visit these wonderful, Christian people. well, I don't know where to start, bought a car from them and didn't even make it home. had to limp home with flashers going. called the lot and a mechanic came out on Monday, bought the car on Saturday. the CVT transmission was low on fluid, filled it and it drove fine until yesterday it broke down again. I disconnected the battery and reset the computer and was able to get home. Called them this morning and was told sorry it was sold as is, even though it broke down twice in less than a week. Worst car experience ever! Bought a car from this place and paid cash. Was told there were only minor issues with it. Drove the vehicle 1 1/2 hours home straight to my mechanic where I was told that I was lucky I was not injured or killed driving it home. The vehicle ended up needing almost twice as much money as I paid for it just to be safe to drive. Mechanic hooked the car up to a code reader which listed over 30 issues with the vehicle. I called the dealer and received the run around for two days as to why I could not reach the guy who sold me the vehicle, not to mention the numerous times it takes calling them in order to get them to answer their phone. After finally getting a hold of someone I was told it is not their problem. To make things worse, they claim to be good christian people in order to lure customers in thinking they will be honest. I also was told I would receive my title via overnight when I purchased the vehicle and it is now 5 business days later and have yet to receive it. Funny that I receive a christian tract titled "Death It Happens To Everyone" with my bill of sale, I assume this is their way of being able to sleep at night if you die from driving one of their death trap vehicles off their lots.
