Top is the pre cabin air filter and the engine air filter

I am a returning customer and will continue however, a few concerns about the mechanics who "check off" the list for safety and maintenance. My engine air filter was filthy, front brake rotors warped and needing service, my cabin air filters were also very old and filthy. I recommend a quality check on the service techs. I still like the cars they provide as well as the honest sales experience.

This place is short handed. They really need to improve the speed. I waited 5 hours to sell my car on a Monday which is very frustrating.

However, Mark went the extra mile to reserve those parts for me to make sure that I will have it. I am from San Jose so it is a bit of a drive to Fremont to get a service done in my opinion. I was also able to get a complimentary car wash and had my infotainment checked out. I was having apple car play issues but must be because I dont have the original apple cord lol. Thanks Mark!

November 10, 2025…read more To Whom It May Concern: Today, I took my 2020 Honda CR-V into AutoNation Honda of Fremont, California for servicing since the car's starter is having issues. I'd like to mention that I have an extended warranty. It's the Platinum VPP package that 84 months and 75,000. My experience today was not a favorable one. After dropping off my car, the service technician said that it was the battery that was causing the issue and not the starter. I found it odd because the battery was purchased on November 8th, 2024. So, the battery is a year and two days old as of today, November 10, 2025. The service representative, (Haroun - not my usual service person) told me that my extended warranty did not cover the diagnosis because it was not a mechanical issue but he would be willing to waive the $271 dollars they were trying to charge me if I paid $340 for a new battery. Why would I pay that much for a battery knowing that I have a year old battery that would need to go back to where I purchased it in order to get a new pro-rated battery for less. Upon AutoNation Honda releasing my car and finally waiving the $271 dollars, I immediately went to the place where the battery was originally purchased and was given a brand-new battery at no-charge. The battery was replaced in my 2020 Honda CR-V which I need to mention only has 47,752 miles to date. Well below the threshold of extended warranty package that I paid over $2500 dollars for. Turns out, I still have the same issue with the car. IT WAS NOT THE BATTERY. In fact, after replacing the battery and going home the car's starter made the funny noise it made as it struggled to start the car and upon driving home, the Auto Start & Stop / Idle Stop and Go died at a streetlight. I am beyond frustrated with the lack of service and customer service I received today. Can you imagine buying a new battery from the dealership's service department for $340 dollars and still going home with the same starter issue. It makes me wonder, did they even look at the car or perform the diagnosis? I called the dealership when I got home and asked to speak to the service Manager, Andrea, but the receptionist said she was busy but would take my name and number down for a call back today. The receptionist even pulled up the service history of the car to make it easier for Andrea to handle my phone call. NEVER RECEIVED A PHONE CALL BACK TODAY. I went by the AutoNation of Fremont dealership, but it was already closed. A salesmen spotted me and said Andrea was still inside and he knocked on the service door, and she looked at me as the salesmen pointed to her that I needed help. Andrea and I made eye contact, but she ignored me and continued to type away on her computer. As I mentioned previously, I never got a call back from her. This is my 4th Honda that I have purchased and never have I ever received this type of neglect and now swindling from a service department in all the years that I have had to take my car into a dealership for service. I am writing this letter to escalate my issue. I can't help to think that once I paid for the extended warranty, no one wants to bother with me because the money was already handed to you guys.

We were communicating while he was out of town and I would have gladly bought a car from him. Instead I bought a car from somebody who will say is just basically I got screwed. And Chris is going out of his way to help me even though we have never done business. That is such a rare quality that I can only hope that anybody with enough sense would see this and buy a car from him. He has been overwhelmingly supportive, offered his help as best he can wherever he can, and even stayed in touch just talking back and forth about how badly things have turned on for me with the purchase of the car I made from somebody on Craigslist who is also a wholesaler kind of guy. Anyway five stars aren't enough. I'm sure whatever products he have or quality products. But beyond that the integrity, the kindness, the actual caring far beyond what must anyone would be used to or think possible. I did and ours is still running fine.

Ali helped me secure an amazing deal on my new BMW X7, and the entire process was smooth and efficient. I was honestly surprised at how quickly everything moved , I was in and out much faster than expected, which is rare when buying a car. What I appreciated most was his professionalism and honesty. He made the experience feel easy and stress-free, which is exactly how buying a car should be. If you're in the Bay Area and looking for a BMW, I highly recommend asking for Ali at BMW of Fremont. Eventually, one popped up at Fifty Stars and, for a car dealer, the price was surprisingly reasonable. I live in Santa Cruz and it's a long haul thru traffic to get to Fremont, but Zack answered all my questions, the car checked all my boxes, so off I went. Th car itself was nicer than I expected. Zack told me he'd sold around 150 Minis over the years, a good proportion of them to folks in Santa Cruz. His philosophy was to mark up his cars a small amount, and turn them over quickly. This is true. Other dealers I'd come across ask unreasonable prices for their Minis -- and the cars sit for months on their lots. I know, I'd been watching them. A couple of days after buying the car I had a bit of a problem with an ignition coil. Zack gave me a warranty on the car, but the car was in "limp home" mode and I had no way of getting it back over the hill. I had it fixed by our local Mini specialist -- and Zack was gracious enough to send me a check for the work. I highly recommend Fifty Stars, I'd buy another car from him in a second. I've wanted a Mini since the 60's. I did a long trip into Mainland Mexico with a buddy in his Mini in '67 and wanted one ever since. Zack made it come true.

Kudos are due to Anton, Nate, James (service), and Mustafa (finance)--who not only communicated patiently and professionally with me, but with each other, giving me a seamless and consistent consumer experience throughout. The proverbial icing on the cake was meeting the dealership owner, John, whose genuine interest and hands-on pride in providing a quality customer experience were evident. I was trying to sell a car on Facebook Marketplace when an employee named Nathan Nguyen messaged me about buying it, then invited me to come in. I asked if he'd be OK paying my posted price of $8,800 (its bluebook value), and he said "likely" yes, then when I asked a second time, said yes again. Once I arrived, he spent all of 45 seconds giving the car a superficial once-over, after which his assistant told me they could only pay $2,500 -- a complete joke of an offer, and a total waste of my time and gas. (I ended up selling it for $8,200.) Since this Nathan guy is their manager of used car sales, his behavior is probably representative of Winn Volkswagen. I find it baffling that these inconsiderate idiots see casual lying as good business practice. The only result of this interaction was annoying me, which isn't something that contributes to their revenue. All they got out of it was a bad Yelp review, and a guarantee that when I'm in the market for an ID.Golf in a couple years, I sure as hell won't be buying it from here. How dumb is that?
