This was my first experience using an auto broker and it saved me the headache of dealing with dealerships. Alaric from McCoy Auto Brokers took care of all my needs. We discuss what model and options I was looking for and he got right to work. He was able to track down exactly what I was looking for, got me a great price and delivered it to my home. On top of all that, he was able to work around my work travel schedule. I definitely recommend Alaric at McCoy for your auto buying needs. Thanks again Alaric!

Alaric is aleays very helpful in every car info and sales we need Higly recommendable

I honestly can't say enough good things about working with Alaric. He's not only a friend but also an incredible auto broker who went out of his way to help my mom find the perfect car. From the very beginning, he treated her like family patiently walking her through every step, answering all her questions, and making sure she felt completely comfortable with her decision. We absolutely do not want to spend time at the dealership for a day or two with all the back and forth haggling. What really stood out was how much he genuinely cared about us getting the perfect car for mom down to the specific type of wheels. He wasn't just trying to close a deal he truly wanted what was best for her. He handled everything with such professionalism, integrity, and heart, and made the whole experience smooth and stress-free for both of us. If you're looking for someone trustworthy, knowledgeable, and who truly puts people first, Alaric is the one to go to. We're beyond grateful for everything he did and will absolutely be coming back for any future car needs!

If you hate hopping around car dealerships and haggle with sales people to find your new car then MCCOY Auto Brokers is the way to go. I was very specific with the trim and color of the car I wanted and Alex of MCCOY Auto Brokers searched the whole of California to find it. It took a little while to search because the car I wanted is limited in supply. Alex did all the dirty work searching and haggling dealerships which I dreaded so much to do myself. This is the most pleasant new car purchase I ever had. I would definitely recommend MCCOy Auto Brokers to anyone who wants a stress free new car purchase especially if you are a very busy person and very specific about the trim and color. The fee I paid them is worth every penny. Thank again Alex!

Alexa please play Shut up and drive by Rihanna (setting the tone for this). OH MY Goodness in a good way. McCoy Auto Brokers had my mind blown and is such a game changer. I never knew buying a car could be so seamless and so fast. I didn't have to spend hours at the dealership, had all my test drives scheduled, didn't get hassled, GOT A DEAL and was so seamless from start to finish. Alaric provided what I would consider to be All Star service. I was very unsure of what I wanted for my next car and he really helped me pin point the one that would suit me best and didn't get annoyed with all my questions. He scheduled my test drives, provided me with multiple options, secured the deal, picked me up to pick up my new car, had a big red bow on it for me, put my plates on for me and even helped me walk thru all the new tech in my car. I will never go back to buying a car the old way and highly recommend if you are looking for a car to go through McCoy Auto Brokers. Thank you again Alaric!!!

Hate playing the "Let me talk to my Manager" game? Me too! Some people like to wheel and deal and I am not one of them! After a few of uninspiring, meh experiences test driving various models at local dealerships, (Attitude: "Boy, this would be a great job if I didn't have to deal with all these pesky customers!" Exception: Lexus was very good but I went with a Toyota Crown Signia), we decided to go with an auto broker to do all the heavy lifting for us. I found McCoy Brokers on Yelp. All five star reviews which is deserved IMO. Rick Brenner was fantastic! He has relationships with various dealers and knows how to work with them to get the best price so you don't have to. He walked me through the process, educated me on what to do and expect, gave accurate information, answered calls promptly and was polite and professional. This was my first experience buying a new car and he made it so easy and painless. Well worth his reasonable fee to avoid the dealership negotiation process. I wanted a car with hard to find exterior and interior colors but Rick found my unicorn at Fremont Toyota. Alex, who dropped off the car and reviewed its features with us had the patience of a saint. Spent a good amount of time going over everything with us. Lots of new gadgets to learn compared to my 2002 Lexus (with "Theft Deterrent Protection" on...wait for it...a tape deck! lol!) I would very much recommend McCoy brokers if you want a hassle-free car buying experience.

I'm sure you love shopping for a car as much as I do. A few cars ago we spent the entire day in the process. I'm not talking about searching and testing, I mean knowing what we wanted to buy and simply completing the process with the dealership. I knew there had to be a better way because there certainly couldn't be a worse way. That's when we decided to use an Auto Broker (Heck - I'm a real estate broker ... same idea!) We checked online reviews and selected Rick Brenner of McCoy Auto Broker in Marin. https://mccoyautobrokers.com/ The first time was amazing. So was the 2nd time. And so was the 3rd time ... (i.e. we picked up the new car a few hours ago) THE PROCESS Search online reviews to see which cars to consider Price - always a consideration. We felt OK in the $60K rang Style - sedan - SUV and crossover don't give me the space I need Type - hybrid or plug-in hybrid (I really wanted a plug-in in concept - selection was minimal) We have a Tesla 3, and didn't want a 2nd electric for several reasons. We've had a great experience with the Infiniti brand, but many dealerships have closed On paper, the Volvo plugin hybrid looked great - until we sat in it. Next stop - Lexus dealership Found a sporty Lexus hybrid, which complemented Carol's elegance (it's her car). It even has a spare tire in the locking trunk. Took it for a test drive - and then noted the salesperson's name because we wanted to make sure he got paid for helping us. Then looked at different flavors and options (and wrangled the information as only an engineer could do) Time to give Rick the specs He found us the car we wanted, and a great price (fleet price, likely as low as I'd be able to do without all the Sturm und Drang) Here's what we had to do Get a cashier's check Sign the papers (turns out Docusign didn't work because of taking the title in Trust) We ended up signing with a pen since we took the title in our Living Trust and that had too many characters for a digital signature) Drive to Rick's office Sign papers (like signing at a title company only not as exciting) - That took at least 15-20 minutes Pay Rick $395 Take the keys Drive Home BUT WAIT - THERE'S MORE Our insurance company settled the claim for more than we bought the used car for 4 years ago (and it was 3 years old when we bought it) Incremental cost above settlement check - about $33,000 and we have a tricked-out sporty hybrid as befitting Carol's exalted status. I was amazed at how few sedans are being made - likely 1/3 to 1/2 of the cars on the road were SUVs or crossovers, which only provide a thin layer of glass between the outside world and the things I want to carry in the car. USED CAR I do like used cars, but their prices have gone up so I was able to rationalize buying a new one. OUR OLD CAR I spent several days trying to find it, then shifted into moving past it. The same way I felt when my camera was stolen at gunpoint a few years ago. Here's where to reach Rick. After trying to source an ultra-low-mileage 2001 911 Turbo on my own--coordinating PPIs and chasing…read moreemissions details across state lines, only to have the car sell--I switched to a broker. That was the right call. Cartelligent sourced my 2023 911 GTS, and the experience was excellent. David, the founder, knows both the cars and the market. He took the time to understand what I was actually looking for, then challenged my assumptions. That led me to choose a low-mileage CPO car for my first Porsche--a decision I'm glad I was pushed toward. I worked with Christian throughout the purchase and delivery, and he was professional and attentive. The delivery specialist handled the handoff with real care. The entire team was friendly, focused on my needs, communicated clearly, and operated with professionalism end to end. They have the network, expertise, and discipline to navigate the market efficiently--no wasted time, no dead ends. Buying a car, simplified. I plan to purchase a new truck in the fall, and Cartelligent will be my broker again. Highly recommended if you're serious about finding the right vehicle.

I had a somewhat negative experience working with an advisor at this location, and the experience…read moremade me wary of Cartelligent overall. It seems like it can be good in the right circumstance, but it's worth being a bit careful about it. A friend highly recommended the advisor, saying that they'd saved her a lot of money on her car lease and made the process easy for her. I called and talked for over an hour to the advisor. They were knowledgable and friendly - great customer service. I figured that I may be able to save a little money by looking for a deal myself, but that I wanted to save the time and hassle, so the cost would be worth it. Also, I liked the idea that Cartelligent had access to better deals than I would by purchasing at volume from fleet managers. My plan was to lightly get offer prices myself, compare them to the price Cartelligent got, and then hopefully having validated that they were beating my price sufficiently, I could use them forever and rest assured that it was a worthwhile deal. I reached out to a few dealerships and got opening offers. I was shocked when my Cartelligent advisor came back with an initial price that was worse than three of the five dealerships I'd reached out to, and that was before their $600 fee. When I explained this, they responded a little defensively and asked for proof I had better deals. When I provided it, they came back the next day with an offer $50 a month cheaper than the one they first sent me - a cost difference of $1,800 over the course of the lease! Thank goodness I'd looked on my own and not taken their word for it. The experience shook my faith a bit, so I decided to negotiate with the other dealerships myself and compare. Once I got a bit further into the process, I gave Cartelligent the ability to win my business if they could get to a specific number by dropping their quote a little further. They were unable to do so, so I kept negotiations up elsewhere. Specifically, when I asked if they could get to that number, the whole email they wrote back was "That's awesome. That's a great deal" and that was the last I ever heard from them. With a little bit of work, I ultimately was able to secure a lower price than Cartelligent had before taking their $600 fee into account. Using Cartelligent would have cost me many hundreds of dollars more than negotiating on my own over the course of my lease. At the same time, I was trying to sell my car through them. I did their thorough online process, taking pictures and filling out the form. After it was clear I was going to negotiate a bit and not just take their first price, I stopped hearing about the sale process from the advisor. After the "That's awesome" email, I never heard back from them again, even after asking for updates on the sales process over email. They ultimately never gave me a quote on my car. I think they got mad at me and ghosted me, which I found surprising and unprofessional. It's possible I was able to get an unusually good deal because the EV market is weak right now. The second quote - the one $50 lower - was reasonable, and it did take me a little work to beat it. However, it was clear to me that you should always do your own due diligence and get quotes to check the ones they give you. If you do that, ultimately, you aren't really saving yourself that much work, so I'm not sure the $600 fee is worth it. Edit: David reached out, and we talked about my experience. He sounded as surprised as I was by my experience, and he's looking into it. I was impressed that he would follow up!

Once I informed Linda of the car I was looking to lease, she was on it like there's no tomorrow. In addition to finding me the car, Linda negotiated the best leasing deal and did not back down when the dealer tried to up the monthly lease to make up for the monies Linda saved me on the overall leasing price. I signed up for the "full service" which costs $600, in search of a 36 month lease on a 2019 Honda Odyssey XL. (This would be my first time ever leasing a vehicle.) Linda was rude, condescending, and highly defensive whenever I mentioned that I had received a previous quote that was far lower than the quote she provided. She resorted to calling me a liar, a bully, and finished one scathing email by saying "shame on me," all without ever explaining why (other than the fact I challenged her to find me a lower offer than the one I got on my own- which she refused). I asked her numerous times for an explanation but she never gave one, only insisting that I re-read the CarQ summary of services. She got really mean and nasty about it.
