extremely homophobic treatment from one of the tow truck drivers. was making gagging noises at my friend who is a well known LGBTQ celebrity while loading up their car for a tow. completely disrespectful and unprofessional. [[HIGHLIGHT]]when I was called by my friend to help diffuse the situation as the tow driver was offloading the vehicle and refusing service- he refused to talk with me or give me any information to file a complaint.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]when I called the company number- explaining the homophobic treatment- they said "we know who you are never call back here again."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] if I could rate zero stars I would- I have never been so appalled by someone's behavior in my life. read more

Avoid this rift raft at ALL cost. The driver tried to charge me $195 for a 6 mile tow. Even though I have AAA. Then when I wouldn't pay, he said AAA wouldn't switch to another company. Said it wasn't his fault. And that it's his horrible dispatcher and horrible company. Said all the drivers feel the same and their all waiting to quit. Proceeded to show me disgruntled text from other drivers. I said ok. Have a nice day. When I called AAA, for a new company, he told them that I was faking and didn't need a tow. This is NOT AAA. Do NOT let them touch your car. Yes they do have a AAA contract, but charging AAA is something they will not do lol. Your car will collect $250 a day in storage while it's here. Also, that "AAA" tow? Well it'll cost you $400-$500 out of pocket. When they see the car has been in an accident they see dollar signs, so they cancel the AAA call and charge you directly. The place looks like a jail because they have so many issues with stealing peoples cars and holding them hostage. Oh and did I mention? They're cash only. According to the bureau of automotive repair you need to accept at least 2 payment methods. Shady business, stay away. read more

Such quick service!! My car wouldn't start and I contacted Hyundai roadside assistance who then dispatched Carmel through AAA. The tow arrived in 10 minutes when they quoted me an hour +. I've had a fair share of dealing with tow truck companies and this was by far the worst one I've ever dealt with. I even complained to AAA about them. I had to have my car towed from a restaurant in Hollywood because the night before Valet had popped a tire on it and I ended up ubering home. I called AAA to have my car towed to a tire shop the following morning-- AAA said they would be at the restaurant within 30 min to an hour, lo behold within 15 minutes they called and said they were 5 minutes away. We mentioned we were driving from far and that we were told by AAA we had an hour and that they would give a courtesy call when they're 10 minutes away because we were coming from far. The tow driver asked how long would it be until we got there and I said 30 minutes. He said he'd wait; but of course LA traffic turned it into 45 minutes and the guy said he was leaving after 5 minutes of waiting. I gave a courtesy call that we were in traffic and he said he was leaving. I called AAA who then AGAIN dispatched Carmel towing, and SURPRISE it was the same guy. He, again, said he would be there in 5 minutes and that he would only wait 5. We told him we were 15 minutes away; and guess what? HE LEFT AGAIN. I called AAA for the THIRD time and they AGAIN dispatched the same guy, who FINALLY ended up staying and towing our car to a tire shop. I apologize for not catching his name (I'm 60% sure it started with an "R" but I *might* be wrong), but I am writing this review specifically to the employee who helped me out on Vine St. around 4 PM today. I had a flat tire and called AAA for assistance and they assigned me a technician from this company. He went BEYOND with helping me with my flat tire. He had great communication about what was happening and what was needed; I felt safe and secure throughout the whole process. He also did a fast and effective job at changing my tire and checking the air for the others on top of having a friendly attitude. He also gave me great advice about my car. I am grateful to have been assigned him and would 100% recommend him. Service, attitude, and professionalism were all great. I truly value the interaction I had with him today. My cousin's car was impounded and he was unable to pick it up for weeks due to a family emergency. As you know impounding is predatory and costs more with each day. Today he had finally saved the money and had time to pick up at or after 6:30pm. He asked me to call while he finished work to confirm he'd be able to go straight there. When I called to request the closing time, the extremely rude and racist woman with an Eastern European or Middle Eastern accent refused to answer my question and repeatedly yelled at me in the most derogatory tone. When she finally said 4pm after arguing with me about why I was calling and not him, I asked if an exception could be made. Instead of responding like a human she responded like she wanted her ass beat. "OFFICE HOURS ARE 9-4PM WHAT PART OF THAT DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND!" I stayed calm and asked why she was being so rude to me, and she hung up on me. Nobody in this situation deserves this kind of treatment. 9-4pm hours are also predatory. People have jobs and that means another expensive nightly fee and a day off work just to get the car. God help us and help that sad woman and her sad business. read more

i had a pleasant experience! Abis was the person who assisted me & my vehicle home.
