Carmela Coffee is one of my favorite spots to grab a tea or coffee with a sandwich while working. This location's atmosphere is cozy and the baristas are welcoming. I love the monthly drink specials, the various avocado toast dishes, and the chicken and basil mayo sandwich. A refreshing lavender lemonade pairs well with it! Check it out if you haven't! This was a nice visit. Quiet place. You could really come here for a lunch hour or work from here while you enjoy your food/beverage. Love the matcha. Food was great, a little pricy, but good! I'd come back! I did really like the almond jam toast on the menu. Haven't had anything like that, and that was my highlight. We came for coffee and tea but we stayed and lounged for a bit. You are greeted with positivity smiles and professionalism. Great selection of music, great vibes all throughout, definitely a great hang out spot to enjoy a pastry and a Carmela's signature drink by yourself or which a group of friends . I like how you have the option to sit on a comfy couch, high top or sit outside to soak in some sun. Come on by and talk to Lou he's such a sweetheart! Carmela is a local chain, like many coffee shops and restaurants in this area. The coffee isn't the best you've had, but it is decent if you need a quick cup of coffee. They always have a variety of latte options that change from location to location. This one made me a cinnamon and brown sugar latte and it was good. My eight-year-old daughter enjoys their strawberry lemonade. This location has plenty of seating indoor and outdoor making it a great place to work too. read more

Stopped into Carmela Coffee in Park Place and ordered a small skim latte--very good! The space is beautifully decorated with a cozy, modern vibe. Coffee is decently priced and delicious! I did think the food was outrageously priced and pretty average. The avocado in the avocado toast doesn't have any seasoning in it so I would maybe avoid that next time I go back. Adding a poached egg was nearly a $3 up charge also. I would definitely come back but maybe just for coffee. The staff were extremely friendly! I loved the inside seating here also. Place was packed with people on their laptops and chatting. A very tight parking lot due to a ton of other businesses. My favorite very casual coffee / brunch place in the area. Love the coffee drinks and they have the most magnificent avocado toasts and so many topping options. Prices are high but portions are substantial. Love the burrata with prosciutto or the salmon with egg avocado toast or the caprase one with balsamic glaze. Yum! This morning I went to Carmela Coffee at 5660 N Military Trl in Boca Raton. The shop was cozy, and clean, and has outdoor seating too. Alahandra helped me, and she is always great, she made me a Cortado which is an espresso and milk, and was exceptional. It's served in a glass, and was delicious. I also ordered a breakfast croissant sandwich, and substituted brie cheese for cheddar, again it was super. My buddy who met me for breakfast had an avocado toast and a cappuccino that looked awesome. We'll be back often ! read more

My usual coffee spot is Starbucks. I have to say, the Starbucks branch at Clint Moore and Military has been looking desolate lately. When I've stopped by recently, it's been dead as a doornail. That aside, I've been feeling a bit of Starbucks exhaustion lately and decided to find a new place for my morning coffee. In search of an alternative, I turned to Dunkin Donuts, but their coffee is horrid swill, no matter how hard I tried to like. Then I realized that Carmela Coffee opened in Park Place after a delay last winter. After my first visit, I gotta say, it's a refreshing change from both Starbucks and Dunkies. When I first walked in I thought, so, this is where all the Starbucks people have gone! The place was bustling. Aesthetically speaking the place had nice decor and was very comfortable to chill out in and there's outside seating as well. While Carmela doesn't offer better pricing than Starbucks, they do have very delicious coffee and a notable fresh food menu. And the staff is great! The owner even surprised my kid with freshly baked cookies, which was a nice touch. It's like the end of an era for me, but I really feel like it's time to move on from Starbucks. And I'm all in on Carmela Coffee Company. With their excellent service, great coffee, and inviting atmosphere, they have really made it an easy choice. Well done, Carmela. I've given caramela a try a few times and each time I dislike it. The last time I was there I got the salmon and toast but the salmon had a very odd strong smell. The toast is always so hard it'll literally scratch up your mouth. Service is pretty good and the look of the store is very cute and nice for studies. read more

Awful matcha, very low quality and the worst tasting matcha I've ever had. The flatbread is incredibly oily and small, about hand size. The toast is not even toasted. Genuinely just soft bread. And skimped out with one egg. For the price of just $50, you'll have the worst breakfast ever. read more

First time at Carmela Coffee. Louis, the owner is what an owner should be! He greets us, chat, gave us sample of these amazing biscuits. The vibe inside is relaxing. The staff is are nice. I had the avo toast with poached egg and a latte. My husband had avo bacon toast and we also ordered an almond croissant. First of all, the toast is SUPER fresh, soft and amazing it's more for 2 people! We're from San Francisco and bought a place in Delray and we were looking for an exceptional coffee place. Not sure why this is so popular - space is nice and people working here seem attentive but not the best listeners - ordered a cappuchino and specified wanted traditional 6 ounces to keep ratio of coffee and milk to where I like it - but no = they did the larger amount anyway and charged extra 90 cents for oat milk - really tasted just like milky coffee in not a good way - remade it for me as a cortido = still paying almost a buck for like a sip of oat milk added - and not good. My son got a mocha which wasn't even drinking even though he really could have used some caffeine for jet lag....about $13 down the drain. Went back to Seed to get real coffee. read more

The chef and the food is great, comes at a cost. The store has managed to turn over all the barista's that can actually make a coffee, there's one younger gentleman who is able to get a decent coffee out the door. You never know what you're going to get, it's a gamble on the output and customer service is non-existent. If you are getting anything other than an americano or syrup bomb special, you will be disappointed. Ambiance is great when staff is not being vocal about people spending too much time in the store. read more

This was our first visit to Carmela Coffee and what an awesome morning this turned out to be! We arranged to have our business meet up here as all of our friends are also coffee people. But, what we loved about this place was the variety of beverages offered, as well as the choice of breakfast bites and light meals available. We chose to enjoy the bright fresh morning sitting outside while enjoying our coffees, matcha lattes and danish. The service was wonderful and quick, the staff, so friendly. The aroma of every dish that other patrons ordered permeated the air. The owner brought out these delightful cheese bread rolls that were just scrumptious. Something none of us at the table have ever had. This just added to the deliciously relaxed atmosphere of our work morning. My goodness their coffee is awful and so expensive! I asked for banana bread and it was stale; they didn't even have the common sense to heat it up for me. One empanada is $6 and (which costs $1.50 at a Latin restaurant). Their coffee is bitter and burned; they don't light a candle To the cleanliness of Starbucks or even Dunkin. He then pokes his head out and I get his attention. I told him we needed another 1/2 a piece of bread. It took a bit but the manager came brought 2 pieces of toasted bread with butter. We thought that was nice, they gave us extra for the wait. The manager asked if everything was ok, we had the bread so yes it was fine nothing to say. We weren't sure why be was asking (also didn't know he was the manager at that time) We also got the omelette which was ok, not great. No complaints just nothing special, we wouldn't get that again. (Not this trip but last time we got their potatoes which were so good and a really good flat bread with figs so most of their other food is good) Then it takes a bit but he comes to clean our plates... and disappears again. A while later he has that check machine in his hand (I hate those honestly- becoming a restaurant standard but gives you no time to discuss anything with your party or figure out the tip) he asked if we needed anything I said no, thinking he was having us pay since we're not ordering anything else- but then he just walked away. The other table is getting rowdy and annoyed not seeing him either now. I see that table out of the corner of my eye getting annoyed with him. They're ready to go, as are we. We finally get the check and they charged us $4.50 for the bread. Confused I asked about that mistake. He then told us he sent his manager over to talk to us (you did?) and he'll send him over again. So now we just want to leave but are waiting for the manager. The man who delivered the bread comes over. Tells me it depends how thick it is. Sometimes it's 3 sometimes it's 4 pieces (referring to the individual halves of bread) that's why we were charged for a side of bread. He then tells me the server must not have understood. I was very clear and asked for a half a piece- letting him know we always order this. I didn't ask for 2 slices with butter- which they brought. The manager offers to knock a few bucks off but it's made in house so that's all he'll do. I'm not really happy I didn't want all that, I didn't order it and really if your server misunderstood why am I being charged? (Plus we're already frustrated waiting there, we've been ready to go for a while at this point) Meanwhile the table next to us gets up to talk to the manager who's busy "fixing" our check as they also just want to leave. They're clearly frustrated as well. Then the server comes by and asks us if everything was solved. Not really but sort of. I hear him go to the manager behind us ... and the manager says "I'm going to charge them something for it" Someone else from that other table comes over to complain to us about how this place is going downhill. They also used to really like it there- but now they're spending their whole afternoon in there. We have a lovely chat about how frustrating this experience has been before the server comes back with our revised check. So I went from coming here at least once a month (literally my open table shows me coming here 3 times since the middle of March) but I will not be returning anytime soon and I have a feeling neither will that other party (Also on their menu on their website the bread is only $4.25 so we were overcharged no matter how you look at it. But you won you charged us something!)

Next time we get to try it again, we will try it while we are there and let you guys know with an update. They had ran out of several bagel flavors when we were there, so this place must be a pretty popular stop for bagels for the locals who live there. The chocolate snack that was loaded with 10g of protein had a nice taste and texture. I will for sure get it again next time. The cake was so moist and the crumb topping a perfect mix of cinnamon and sugar etc. We were able to find a table inside. There's a small area with tables where you will enjoy chatting with your neighbors about what they got (the tuna was highly recommended by one lady) as tables are close together. There's a larger area on an outside patio but it was too hot today for us to be there. Service was very friendly and accommodating by everyone. They are getting popular, so plan on a short wait. You stand in line to order and then pay the same person who took your order and then prepared your food. We got some extra bagels to go. I know we will be back.

The cup was brown with a black snap lid, imprinted with a non Casa Do Pao logo coffee theme which is much better than a bland white styro cup. On my next visit here, the beef empanadas will be on my radar. The gender assigned bathroom had a nice 3-tier wooden shelving unit with some greenery and extra toilet paper.
