Has some different chairs and a TV which I like that it gives a little pop and a little color to the shop. I ordered breakfast croissant, it was crunchy. The cheese was good the scrambled eggs. I am surprised it was a really good portion and could have a little bit more bacon, but it's OK I'm trying to eat less bacon hehe Coffee was good, so many options. Loved that they have dog treats and a dog bowl maybe can add a doggy meal The gentleman at the cashier was nice, I love to drink coffee, but lately I've been getting so many jitters from it so I have to ask depending on the shop which one they recommend. I paid $25 before tip for a medium latte with oat milk and breakfast avocado toast. That price is ridiculous. I wouldn't mind the cost if it was a good quality drink and food. However, the avocado toast was an inch thick piece of dry old bread covered in bacon bits the kind you get in a plastic bag not real bacon. It comes with a soft boiled egg on top. The latte was fine but nothing special. Overall, very disappointed in this visit. Way too pricey and under delivered on quality. read more

Coffee is decently priced and delicious! I did think the food was outrageously priced and pretty average. The avocado in the avocado toast doesn't have any seasoning in it so I would maybe avoid that next time I go back. Adding a poached egg was nearly a $3 up charge also. I would definitely come back but maybe just for coffee. The staff were extremely friendly! I loved the inside seating here also. This morning I went to Carmela Coffee at 5660 N Military Trl in Boca Raton. The shop was cozy, and clean, and has outdoor seating too. Alahandra helped me, and she is always great, she made me a Cortado which is an espresso and milk, and was exceptional. It's served in a glass, and was delicious. I also ordered a breakfast croissant sandwich, and substituted brie cheese for cheddar, again it was super. My usual coffee spot is Starbucks. I have to say, the Starbucks branch at Clint Moore and Military has been looking desolate lately. When I've stopped by recently, it's been dead as a doornail. That aside, I've been feeling a bit of Starbucks exhaustion lately and decided to find a new place for my morning coffee. In search of an alternative, I turned to Dunkin Donuts, but their coffee is horrid swill, no matter how hard I tried to like. Then I realized that Carmela Coffee opened in Park Place after a delay last winter. After my first visit, I gotta say, it's a refreshing change from both Starbucks and Dunkies. When I first walked in I thought, so, this is where all the Starbucks people have gone! The place was bustling. Aesthetically speaking the place had nice decor and was very comfortable to chill out in and there's outside seating as well. While Carmela doesn't offer better pricing than Starbucks, they do have very delicious coffee and a notable fresh food menu. And the staff is great! The owner even surprised my kid with freshly baked cookies, which was a nice touch. It's like the end of an era for me, but I really feel like it's time to move on from Starbucks. And I'm all in on Carmela Coffee Company. With their excellent service, great coffee, and inviting atmosphere, they have really made it an easy choice. Well done, Carmela. Not sure why this is so popular - space is nice and people working here seem attentive but not the best listeners - ordered a cappuchino and specified wanted traditional 6 ounces to keep ratio of coffee and milk to where I like it - but no = they did the larger amount anyway and charged extra 90 cents for oat milk - really tasted just like milky coffee in not a good way - remade it for me as a cortido = still paying almost a buck for like a sip of oat milk added - and not good. My son got a mocha which wasn't even drinking even though he really could have used some caffeine for jet lag....about $13 down the drain. Went back to Seed to get real coffee. read more

The chef and the food is great, comes at a cost. The store has managed to turn over all the barista's that can actually make a coffee, there's one younger gentleman who is able to get a decent coffee out the door. You never know what you're going to get, it's a gamble on the output and customer service is non-existent. If you are getting anything other than an americano or syrup bomb special, you will be disappointed.
