If you're in Boca Raton, you affo-gatta try the Colombian Coffee House. The Colombian Coffee House in Boca Raton is one of those spots you end up returning to without even thinking about it. It's family owned, and you can feel that right away in how warm and welcoming the place is. The coffee is always solid, but the affogato is the real star. The espresso is rich and smooth, the ice cream is just right, and together they disappear faster than I'd like to admit. Honestly, the only downside is that the affogato keeps "vanishing" before I can pretend I'm pacing myself. If you're in Boca and want something simple and genuinely good, this place is an easy pick. They have a nice offering also of food and baked goods. The location in Delray beach is also another favorite. Can't wait to come back. read more

After dinner we took a quick walk in the rain to the Colombian Coffee House just off the iconic Atlantic Ave in Delray Beach. Needed a quick jolt for the long drive home. Ordered a Macchiato which was presented beautifully with the creamer feather swirl floating on top of the caramel colored Colombian Frenesi Wildness Coffee. Sat on a comfy couch sipping my coffee while listening to mariachi music. Relaxing and noticing the shellacked wooden tables and quirky wall decor especially noted the hanging framed glass that says, "Break in Case of Emergency" - funny stuff since its full of coffee beans. Colombian House Coffee bags are sold in store for $20.75, which is bordering offensive for only 12oz, although the superb medium dark roast taste may be worth the price for some. Along the main drag of 5th Avenue in Delray Beach is a family-owned Colombia Coffee House. The space is small, but there are tables in the back and a couch in the front. Service was great! Within minutes my iced hazelnut latte was ready. At first, it wasn't sweetened, but they added an extra pump and it was perfect. The guava pastry warmed up was good too. read more

A coffee shop with a few locations. I did not even know this until I saw this Delray Beach cafe across from Mussel Beach restaurant. I coincidently went to the Boca location a few days ago. This Delray cafe is a lot smaller but serve the same great coffee. The macchiato is made slowly with the creamer design on top which I love and appreciate. They offer a big leather sofa to sit and drink my coffee. You can also sit on the patio but it was raining today. read more

This place has AMAZING breakfast, their arepas are perfection. They have the sweet corn ones or the white ones, both are exceptional and that's coming from a Colombian myself ;) unfortunately I don't love their lunch menu, it seems incomplete and boring, but I am obsessed with their breakfast and so is my husband. Poor tasting coffee. The person helping us could not figure out how to make a simple decent cup of regular coffee. Had to ask 3 times for him to make it darker. $3.95 plus they charge you for milk or cream $.78 That in itself is a joke. Never again. Inside is a little on the small side, but still has enough tables , if you would like to hang. They also have a few outside tables, I'm a to go guy anyway. Worst food and service in downtown Delray, they pretend to be organic food but just looking at the color of eggs you can see that are the cheaper eggs on the market. I used to love this place but the quality is just not there anymore. It's overcrowded and the staff can't keep up. The lattes are watery and the empanadas are dry. I had to ask them to reheat the empanadas and they were still cold. It's crazy that a coffee and two empanadas costs $18 here (including tip) and I leave with milky water in a cup with melted ice and cheap processed flavoring, and frozen empanadas. The salsa is delicious and fresh, different from anything I've ever had. Sweet cheese bread is flaky and not overly sweet. Guava cheese pastry similarly delicious. I usually get a cafe con leche with oatmilk and dulce de leche and it is delicious. But the star of the show for me is their alfajor (shortbread cookie sandwich with caramel inside) the cookie is delicate and buttery... We found a great little spot for breakfast! The staff was super friendly, we stayed and ate and glad we did! We both got the guacamole toast with over easy eggs, a salad & it was great. We then got chicken and beef empanadas which were sooooooo fresh and good! It came with this spicy green sauce that was made in house and it was amazing! We could almost drink it lol. We also got their moccacino iced coffees which we are now obsessed with. The quality of the coffee is great. And we tried their guava & cheese danish, and wow. Like nothing we've had before. It's our 2nd day in Del ray and we just went back for more empanadas and coffee and the danish for lunch haha... We can't wait to try the other dishes now. Have been meaning to try this place for a while now and finally was able to. After a nice walk by the beach, we stopped here and grabbed a table outside. To order we had to go inside and the place is small but cute and cozy. Menu is written on black boards at the register area. There you place your order and can also see the different pastries (sweet or salty) they have to offer. As I usually do, I got a passion fruit shake, and to eat went with their Colombian Style Eggs (eggs, with onions and tomatoes). This comes with an arepa with cheese and I added bacon on the side. The eggs needed a bit of more seasoning but overall good and filling portion. I also got an empanada but this was not great! It lacked meat and flavor too. My friend got their guacamole Arepa and was very happy with it. Loaded with guac, and with two eggs on top, this is another option to satisfy and keep you full for a while. One thing that surprised me is that no one working the register that day spoke Spanish, which is unusual for a Colombian restaurant but they were friendly, and got our order out quick. I'm not sure, but I wasn't upset about it. It's a small shop that is always busy. The only reason it isn't five stars is its high price. Not disproportionally high, they are located in the heart of downtown Delray. However, their coffee prices and bakery items should be lower than currently listed. Side note, parking is minimal. To be expected in this area. Equally minimal is indoor seating. If you visit early, you'll be able to find a seat, but the later you visit, the more unlikely open seating will be. Not amazing, not bad, just kinda average. The Colombian style arepas are served with your choice of shredded meat which comes in a thick gravy-I was ready to nap after this lunch! The salad came undressed but it was a nice offset to the heaviness of that gravy. The pastelitos were good. The guava one could have used more guava. We preferred the sweet cheese stick.
