Ordered food on June 25th. When I got home order was incomplete; called restaurant to let them know order was incomplete. They acknowledged the error and advised they would give me a credit on credit card for the error on their part. 3 attempts later to resolve the issue/credit and no credit or money back. I went early in the day on a Tuesday. They had a cheap lunch special where can get two slices and a drink for abt 7.99 I believe. I opted for that and got pepperoni and added onions. It was pretty tasty for the price. You won't get stuffed but it will definitely get you right to have something on your stomach to get you thru a few hours. read more

5/31/2026 - I ordered a 14-inch pizza and a 10-inch pizza. First, the 10-inch measured an 8 -inch pizza, which they claimed was made with pita bread (what does that have to do with not measuring 10 inches since that is what I ordered. Next, the 14-inch pizza was not consistent with the pizza I had in the past. And last, they will charge you a $3.50 fee whether you pay with a credit or debit card (Paying with debit card is CASH). I will file the necessary complaint with the states of North and South Carolina. I will not do any more business with them. read more

Trash, straight trash. Back when I was younger in 2012 and went to high school out here they used to do one dollar pizza slices. Now they don't do that anymore. The food menu tonight I didn't even have a chance because the server did not come by and then the chance I have to speak to her she's like " the food is closed" As for the service, she kept on hanging out with this one table and hanging out with her friends. We didn't get service at all we wanted another drink, but at that point we couldn't because we only had a chance for one the whole night. We came an hour before it closed and we were only able to get one drink. The drinks were extremely weak, they weren't even done right. This place was good. The lady at the front desk at my hotel recommended it and I checked out the menu online and decided to go (obviously as I'm writing this). I was in the mood for a salad and they had a few good options. I was hungry from a day of travel so got a salad with some rolled meats. Their house Italian was a red/sweet version which I didn't care for so I asked for the Balsamic which was brought out in pouches (I thought I read they were all homemade dressings). I switched to Ranch which was the winner. The salad was fresh and delicious. I also couldn't pass up the pizza by the slice option. The pizza was good and cooked well, maybe a bit too much towards the crust (there's a few inches of overcooked cheese). Not a true NYC Slice but is there really one outside of NYC? I had the PCS pizza, and on my first look. I thought this was not going to taste great. I didn't take a picture of the full pizza as I didn't want to write a bad review... once I ate the pizza, I regretted that. This was absolutely amazing. Usually have a good experience here when coming during the week, came in on a Friday night and the bartenders were different than guys that are usually there when I go. Got asked if I needed anything once in 2 hours, had to wait 15-30 minutes to get ahold of the bartenders to get another drink. Ordered 2 beers and 2 slices of pizza, and was charged for 3 beers and when confronted, the bartender said I got a better deal at 3 $4.50 beers than my one Sam Adam's and a $2 special beer and never received the pizza but I was tired of the bad service and waiting so decided to just pay it and leave. Probably won't be returning when these bartenders are working. They were hanging out at tables with the customers and dancing more than bartending. Horrible service- very nice server but not attentive at all. A table of 6 left without paying because she didn't come back to take the food order after dropping off the drinks. We flagged her down multiple times over a twenty minute period, as she passed the table. When we approached her with the service concern she apologized and said she was trying. She left to get our check, but waited on several tables on her way. 10 minutes later, she dropped the check and left to run more food. Another 5 minutes we were able to check out. Let's start with the good. Buffalo tenders were solid. Not drenched but crispy with a good amount of sauce. Waffle fries were good too. Onion rings were average. Now for the not so good. The Italian sub was not good. The top of the bread was skinny and the bottom super wide so someone messed up the cut. Also who puts mayonnaise on an Italian. It was just all around bad. No tomatoes, vinegar and oil, a slice of lettuce. Just bad. Lastly, the cheesy garlic bread was very mid. Would I go back? Not sure. Might try the pizza. We had a carry out order and upon pulling the food out there was a bloody bandaid on the outside. Whoever wrapped the food up had no gloves on with a cut on their hands. Carmella's Pizza Grill has very good New York style pizza. They even sell it by the slice just like in NYC! I live fairly close by so I have eaten here many times in person and via take out or delivery. They have never disappointed! On Friday and Saturday nights they are very busy so it might take a bit to get your pizza delivered but that should be expected for any decent pizza place on a Friday or Saturday night! They actually have more than pizza. They have appetizers including wings, baked garlic bread, deviled eggs, stuffed grape leaves and jalapeño poppers among others. They have signature salads with dressings that are made in-house! They have Calzones and Stromboli's as well as hot heros. They have classic pasta dishes such as spaghetti, fettuccine Alfredo, Shrimp Fra Diavolo etc. They even have baked classics such as lasagna, cheese ravioli, baked manicotti, baked spaghetti, eggplant Parmesan, chicken Parmesan and baked stuffed shells. OK, you get the idea, they have a very large menu for any tastes! I mostly get their pizza but everything I have ever gotten from them was nicely done. At this point, I will mention a few of my favorites. The Spanikopizza Pizza is very unique and very flavorful. Of course, you have to love spinach (which I do!). The Athenian Pizza is extraordinary as well. It's basically a gyro pizza! The "Loaded Cannon" pizza has a following as well. Last but not least I will mention that their White Pie is quite admirable too! All in all, Carmella's is a great place to grab a bite to eat in a very casual atmosphere. If youd like any dipping sauce (ranch) it will be almost $2 per sauce Extra. was $3.38 for 2 sides of ranch... that is beyond ridiculous after paying $35 for a medium pizza and mozzarella sticks. It's the best dive sports bar in the area. The food is great and is the staff. I'm not there as often as I'd like but EVERY time I do go I'm treated like family. Stephanie and Will are great hosts. My favorites are the Meatball Parmesan, the Gyro ( lots of meat, tomatoes, and a terrific Tzatziki Sauce), and the Eggplant Parmesan (which I would like to eat from a plate instead of an aluminum to-go container). We came here last Sunday right when they opened. We were originally going to do to the brunch place next door but there was a line and we were hungry. The menu has a lot of variety and the space is big. Only thing I can complain related to the place it's self was that was there wasn't any clean silverware so we had to use plastic. Our server was pretty nice. She was on top of whatever we asked from her. The food though was eh. The best part was the waffle fries. They were very crispy and delicious. My chicken on my pasta was pretty good but the rest of the stuff in it was all over the place. There was too many onions and the sauce didn't have much flavor. I used to live by the Carmella's at Whitehall and had expected something similar when I stopped by this location for a middle of the week lunch. It was a very different experience. Instead of ordering at the counter and finding a table like at the Whitehall location here a waitress has you pick a table and takes your order. The windows are tinted and the décor had a western bar feel (fun fact - there is a whole separate bar section as well). Like Peggy said circa 2012 - if you wanted to do some hard middle of the work day drinking this place has that feel. The pizza lunch special can't be beat - two slices and a drink for less than $5. I added a side salad for about $3.50. The salad came out first in it's prepackaged tin on top of a plate. It was a pretty good salad with fresh greens and lots of interesting things that aren't lettuce, including a peperoni. My pizza came out reasonably quickly and was okay. The price point is biggest draw for a return visit. read more
