But recently two men who were working when I visited to drop off and pick up my ring were surprisingly sloppy: in manner and in wrinkled, ill-fitting clothes. Employees of luxury jewelry stores should represent the quality of products & service in their appearance (so agreed my husband when I wondered if I was being snobby). We might consider another place to have it cleaned in future (I found online that the company and their parent company, Sterling, have had lawsuits and complaints about harassment over the decades and not compensating employees as stated). Switching however would mean if the setting, which has never had damage, does sustain damage or looses a stone, we'd lose the warranty protection. In the past the care was always consistent in getting the diamonds and interior of the setting clean but I'm now being given different information regarding whether or not I should have it cleaned in 10 minutes or leave it overnight(s). This location at least is now called Jared's [by/with?] James Allen (another Sterling brand).

It's good to feel you are in good hands with someone who has a passion for the art, the gems and you. These items were made and purchased about 4-5 years ago...and I've just come back to purchase an engagement ring. This time, instead of the help of Laura and Paul - Evan was the new consultant who helped me through the process. We met for the first time at the beginning of January to pick the stone - and then we decided on the setting with a lot of support and help from Evan. She is amazing, patient, with a lot of knowledge about the rings and stones and gold/platinum ideas. What a pleasure it was to work with her. We asked if it would be ready before Valentine's Day and I have it today. It is just gorgeous. The time, communication, and help from Evan made me feel confident that what I dreamed of would come to fruition, on time, and within our price. Everyone here has been a pleasure to work with. The guy over there told me it can be fixed, but first, they need to see it. He also told me it can be fixed either the same day or in 2 or 3 days depending upon the size of the damage. When I went there, the lady at the counter was so kind, she heard me patiently and called the other guy to fix my earring while taking all the precautions. It got fixed during the same visit.
