Several parts of the galley that held the central diamond were dented & a small part was cracked & some of the prongs holding the smaller side diamonds had worn down over time. Steve is amazing. He custom-made my wedding band and my fiance's wedding band. His creative mind truly made our rings special. My engagement ring is from the 1920's, so it truly is a one in a kind piece with lots of custom work. I wasn't sure how I would be able to find a perfect match for a wedding band that would accompany the engagement ring. Steve took a molding of my ring and then made the wedding band match it perfectly. He also did some hand engravings so that the engagement bands engravings were mirrored onto the wedding band. It looks like a set that was meant to be. He also made my fiance's wedding band look classy, elegant and masculine. It was one of his custom designs as well. I bought an open gap wedding band off of Etsy to sit flush against my engagement ring. The ring was just way too big and awkward. I brought it to Steve hoping he could close the gap a bit to give it a neater fit. He took one look at the ring and said he could redesign it to make it fit perfectly if I'm open to it. The design he described was exactly what I had in mind when I ordered my ring so I told him to go for it. Within a week, he designed me a really clever ring! It not only fit the design I wanted, but he also added a thin bar in the middle of the gap and cleverly carved out a "hook" under my engagement ring so it neatly hooks onto the bar and doesn't move about! I did a lot of research and have not seen this anywhere. It was the simplest, most ingenious design. The problem with open gap is that it bends and will move about throughout the day, but with Steve's clever solution, the two stay together! I always wanted a set of stackable bands, but did not consider the fact that the engagement ring had to be designed to sit flush. With Steve's simple solution, I got my perfect set. He looked at the watch, realized that given its solar-powered battery, that it did not need a new battery as I requested and instead just needed more sunlight, set it in the sun until I returned and gave it back to me with no charge, and the advice as to which part would need to be replaced and the cost if his method did not fix the issue. I will never go back here! I asked them to match a stone lost out of a ring (there were 15+ to compare too) and they set a stone that was "close" in color but was an entirely different cut and made the ring very unbalanced. This combined with a re-size was $60. When I told them I wanted the cut taken care of they quoted $65 and said the original quote would be revoked (I thought that was fair). Then they called me to say they forgot about the re-sizing and that would be $35 dollars extra. The fact that they made decisions for me is my biggest complaint, the fact they are trying to squeeze every penny out of their mess up is a close second, if not tied for first. So I told them to go ahead and take the stone out and I asked if they felt $25 was fair for the resizing given the negative experience. He said no and said he was keeping my ring till I paid the $35 dollars and hung up on me! I have filed a BBB complaint and hope to receive my ring back especially since it was my grandmothers and has sentimental value. read more

I had been diamond shopping online for a while, but Steve quickly found an excellent stone that was a much better value than the ones I had been considering. Then he made a custom ring. My (now) wife loves the ring and gets lots of compliments on it. Later in 2019, we returned to get a wedding band for my wife. Where do I begin? I am very upset and WILL NOT return. DO NOT GO HERE. I dropped 3 pieces of jewerly off and was promised it would be ready 1 week later. Well, 1 week later I called and left a message to find out if it was ready. No return call. I called 3 more days in a row and NO return call. I was finally concerned and went to the store. I walked in and the lady did not know where my jewerly was? So, she called her husband and asked him where it was.. turns out he took everything to his house to work on it AND didn't even have it finished. Are you kidding me? She informed me that I would have to wait 2 hours before the jewerly could be back in my hands. Then she began to argue with me that she received no voicemails from me? She was being very rude with me and I could not believe she could treat a customer like that. So, I waited 11 days for him to do NOTHING. NOTHING that I asked for. If I could rate this business lower I would. This is the WORST business I have ever been to in my entire life. Keep in mind, I do not write yelp reviews, but this was a must. BEWARE. I came into Goldfield's Jewelers looking for a Birthday/1st Wedding Anniversary gift for my wife. Steve was not there at the time but his friendly and wonderful wife was! I came in knowing exactly what I wanted and had a picture of it in my mind, when I explained it to her she smiles, walks over to a case, and proceeds to shows me a piece of Jewelery, OMG, that was it, in two different sizes! of course I had to love the bigger one and she asked who it was for, when I told her it was for my wife, she smiled at me (a women) and didn't even skip a beat. She said I must love my wife very much and she would love either one, she didn't even pressure me to buy the more expensive one! SOLD, I of course bought the bigger one, it was the most beautiful one after all.... She cleaned it, boxed it up, and even asked if she could wrap it for me. She told me once I give it to my wife to both come back in and Steve will resize it for us free of charge that way the chain will fit at the perfect length. She also said we can come in anytime and have it cleaned and the stones checked for free. This is a great place to come when you are in search for a unique gift or piece of jewelry for yourself. Turns out that I'm allergic to the nickel in my white gold wedding ring. Rather than have the ring recoated every 2-5 years, we decided to replace it. After tromping through more mall stores than I want to recount, we found our way to Goldfield Jewelers & explained our needs Steve custom-made a white gold with palladium wedding band for me, for approximately the same price as buying a straight up palladium ring from a mall store.
