Carmine's is a 5+++ star gem! I went to lunch here just a few days ago for the first time and this is a MUST go if you haven't been. Bright, beautiful nostalgic decor with a great atmosphere. In a world where customer service seems to be a thing of the past Carmines excels. They understand how important their customers are and it showed. From the second my husband and I walked in it was all smiles, hellos and welcomes ( from everyone ) We ordered pepperoni pizza, Carmines chopped salad, side of fries w/ ranch and raspberry ice tea. The pizza is delicious and the real deal. Tasting it took me back to childhood when I remember getting really GOOD pizza hanging out at the shore. The fries are awesome, hot, crispy on the outside soft potato inside and the ranch is definitely homemade and if you're a foodie like me you know great ranch when you taste it. The chopped salad was the BEST salad I've had in a long time - fresh, crisp veggies, beautifully balanced balsamic dressing, full of flavor and so perfect for these hot summer days. The raspberry iced tea washed it all down perfectly. I was too full for a dessert but, out of nowhere the manager (Denise) walked over and gave us a free cannoli - best cannoli I've ever had! The prices are right and the lunch specials are a steal. On the way out I stopped at the front desk and asked to speak to who I thought was the manager ( turns out he was the owner (Frank) I let him know how great I felt this place was and regardless of how busy the place was he stopped and took the time to chat with me and even gave me a card for a free large cheese pizza so I can come back and bring my girls in to try the food (as I am raising 2 baby foodies). When I realized Frank was the owner it all made sense as to why this restaurant is so successful. Frank was one of the people who greeted us, he was taking orders, filling orders, taking out food to tables, cleaning tables and doing everything that his employees do. He leads by example and clearly holds high standards for himself and his staff was an absolute reflection of this kind of leadership. Bravo! to you and your staff Frank!!! This place is DYNAMITE!!! We came here on a Saturday afternoon for appetizers. My spouse found this location on yelp and really wanted the fried ravioli. We did not see the fried ravioli on the menu, but we asked and they had it. The waiter highly recommended their fried mozzarella so we got that as well. Both were absolutely delicious. I have been to Carmines a few times and this time I decided to host a large gathering and the staff including the owner were so generous and lovely to work with. We had a ham and cheese stromboli and a large meat lovers pizza. The outer crust was nice and crunchy the way I love it. The middle was not. That was the only thing I didn't enjoy is the center of the pizza. It was a bit soupy. The stromboli was really tasty. We had a great Happy Hour at Carmine's. They have built on a new bar area that is clean and filled with TVs for sports. But the white pizza is AMAZING as is the sausage. White pizza - crispy. The crust is amazing here on any pizza but this hits it out of the park with the right amount of dough. The sauce is flavorful and delicious and I can't even think of anything bad to say. I want a piece as I write this lol. Sausage was also amazing. The slices I've had lean on the thinner side and I'm good with that. Their dough is fabulous and even the cat ate some (didn't even know that fool liked pizza!). The staff is always nice and helpful, and it's got a back east vibe inside. I like less than a handful of pizza joints but you'll be doing yourself a disservice if you don't stop by and at least try a slice.
