Outside view. Former Papa Murphy's location near Albertsons on College and Horizon

Back from the ashes indeed. Phoenix Dogs & Slices is a new business that took over from where Papa Murphy's Take 'N' Bake left off. It's near the Albertsons on College and Horizon, so it's pretty convenient for almost nobody except students and people like me who live pretty close to it. Parking is usually manageable in the lot, especially later in the day. There are a few small tables for dining, but I was planning for takeout anyway. The menu is all hot dogs or pizzas, with packaged chips and soda available to make a lunch of it. I saw some slices in the window and decided to try a Garlic Chicken Bacon Artichoke ($5.00 for 2+ topping slice). It's on what many would describe as a cracker-thin crust, which is nothing to write home about. The toppings do fit the description though, and it's not too salty which is something I've witnessed too often in pizza either in a fresh or reheated (the latter of which this was). What I was really there for was the hot dogs, and the Russian Dog ($7.50) sounded a bit more interesting than the others. It's a beef dog, thankfully, and everyone knows what that's like. They actually melted the Swiss cheese over the top via torch, which is at least some attention to detail. There are layers of deli-sliced pastrami and some creamy coleslaw too. It's worth the premium over the Classic Dog ($4.00) if you want something out of the ordinary. Phoenix Dogs & Slices is a great option for quick, nothin'-fancy bites. It's not anything destination-worthy, but it's a welcome neighborhood spot for food that's not from a chain.

This place was very yummy and affordable. I think you can get a basic hotdog for only $4 or $5. I got a hotdog and my husband got pizza. We definitely plan on returning.

Walked in to be greated by the owner and he was seriously such a cool guy. Loved the ambiance and whole vibe. Appreciated the cute wallpaper too Didn't even think to snap a photo of everything before we devoured it, so here's a half eat slice of the bacon chicken slice which is delicious! Got a plain pep, 2 of the chicken artichokes and a new yorker hot dog. All of which we all enjoyed! We definitely stop by again!

I saw this place just opened and had to come give it a try. They have amazing hot dogs and pizza ! Everyone that works here is super friendly. Eric and Matthew always make sure to provide great customer service! I love that it is a fast food type of place since im always in a hurry. They have seating as well or take out. The hot dogs are about $4.00 to 7.00 but they are loaded.

I gave this place a try. I always love a good hot dog. Walking in there were no customers inside. Inside the decor has a fast food vibe. I decided to go with a Chicago dog it was almost $6.00 for just the dog. I asked to dine in but they packed in a plan brown paper bag with no logo. I would have rather it be in a small foldable box covering the whole hotdog with their logo on the box and a bag as optional. The hotdog was made good but the peppers were a bit on the spicy side for my liking. My problem is it was underwhelming, nothing special about it. I can go to the grocery store right next door and make 8 of those hotdogs for around $20-$30. Almost $6.00 for one hotdog with no sides included is a lot of money. I understand it's the times we live in but even adding some fries or homemade potato chips would make it a better value. Overall I'm glad I checked it out but I won't be back.

Friendly service and great hotdogs. I tried the Chicago dog and the New Yorker, both were 100% beef franks and tasty! The inside of the restaurant was clean and staff were welcoming! I will be back to try the pizza next time

What they do is they have a base seasoning, then they can also toss it in a second sauce after the second fry. The "suicide" sounded so deadly, but wasn't spicy at all. The heat was just about average. The garlic Parmesan sauce is SO GOOD I Swear they put something in there that gets you SO HOOKED, we went back several days later just to get 3 lbs of this particular flavor and finished it between 2 of us. Unfortunately, nothing has improved. Domino's seriously needs better staffing or management. The only reason I even gave it another chance was because Kim, the manager, acknowledged the legitimate complaints and offered a free pizza -- and I appreciate her professionalism. But overall, I'm done. I don't know what happened after COVID, but in my opinion, Domino's never recovered. The service and reliability just aren't there anymore. I won't be ordering again.

When I arrived there was one customer getting their pizza (I was right next to him at the counter). Once he was handed his pizza, the worker saw me, walked away and went to his desk in the back of the pizza area and began working on the computer. As I waited to be helped, I stood at the counter for over five minutes with three different ladies facing me (all within 8 feet of me) without any acknowledgment. The girl shaping the pizza dough finally asked what I wanted. I told her my pizza was ready. When she asked the other lady standing there where it was she said it wasn't ready. I told her the app and the in-store billboard sign both said it was ready. Her response was that "the app isn't always accurate". Within seconds they found my order and gave it to me. I have NEVER been to any company or customer oriented business that didn't even acknowledge that I was there, especially by FOUR different employees who all saw me waiting to be served.

We ordered the Tuscany pizza, and it was phenomenal -- loaded with sausage, pepperoni, bacon, Canadian bacon, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, and olives. It's basically like a supreme pizza on steroids, but so much better. The flavors were perfectly balanced, the toppings were generous and high-quality, and every bite was incredibly satisfying. What really sets this place apart is the care they put into the fundamentals: they make their dough and sauce completely in-house, and they even order their sausage straight from Chicago. You can absolutely taste the difference -- it's fresh, authentic, and miles ahead of your typical chain pizza. The crust had that perfect chew and char that only comes from real craftsmanship. Huge shoutout to Linda for the amazing service! She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. Her warm personality and genuine care turned a simple dinner into a memorable experience. Places like this thrive because of people like her. If you're in the Water Street District and craving real-deal pizza with quality ingredients, do yourself a favor and come here. We'll definitely be back -- highly recommend the Tuscany and the whole team!

We had a rather large group for my husband's birthday and even had a 3 month old baby with us in our group haha so the staff was really patient and nice with that. They also let us split our checks as we asked immediately. I've actually never seen this spot not at night with all the tables mainly taken away for the live music they have in here and the more "bar" feel. But was excited to come in here during the day to check it out. The food is really damn good. I got a burger and was pleasantly surprised on how dang good it was. They have such good food for just typically bar food in my opinion. I definitely would come back here to eat, and like I mentioned, at night it's a really fun vibe. I know they also do karaoke during the weeknights, I think Wednesdays? It's just a fun local bar in the heart of Water Street!

The restaurant is a decent size, and despite it being a busy football day, we were seated pretty quickly. There are huge TVs throughout the space, so every seat feels like a good one especially with the Rams playing and the place packed with fans. We ordered the roast beef dip with garlic fries, plus a 1 lb order of wings ( 1/2 buffalo, 1/2 teriyaki). I was really excited for the dip sandwich, but unfortunately it didn't quite hit...it was a bit lacking in flavor. The garlic fries were the saving grace, though I wouldn't be mad if they went heavier on the aioli next time. The wings were solid. We forgot to ask for them extra crispy (which is on us), but they were still full of flavor and a good size. Definitely enjoyable. Overall, not a bad spot at all. It's a great place to catch a game, grab a bite, and hang out. We'd come back if we're in the area, especially since the pizza looked really good at nearby tables. Next time, pizza and wings might be the move.

It's hard to believe that one minute, we're celebrating the entry of 2025, and the next year, we're about to ring in 2026. Time is going by incredibly fast these days and sometimes I can't keep up with it. Slice 19 is located in the guard gated Chimera Golf Club and you must show valid ID in order to get in, which is very easy and very quick. My future in-laws live in a guard gated community elsewhere in town so I already know how these work lol. They're very easy to find and you can walk in and take a seat right away. Their patio has such an amazing view of the golf course in all directions...if only if it wasn't chilly and cloudy outside. Although their big thing is pizza, I wanted something smaller and decided to go for their sliders, total of 3, with tater tots on the side. Other food items included were the cowboy burger (unbelievably huge with giant pieces of bacon inside!) and chicken wings with blue cheese. Some of my friends tried the Bloody Mary, which included a celery stick and an olive inside. For me, I just stuck with water. They also have a "beer tower" available, which is basically a beer on tap that they bring to your table. Great for large parties! This was my first time at the Chimera Golf Club and Slice 19 and it was worth it. The sliders were excellent and even though it was a small dish, I still had to bring the rest home with me.
