We chose this spot for a sit-down dinner during our trip to St Louis. I had high hopes for this restaurant attached to the Drury Inn, but it was a letdown. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty with only three tables occupied, we were seated in an awkward corner right by the kitchen entrance.. Although the menu at the door advertised burgers--which is what we wanted--that menu was never offered to us once we sat down. We opted for the 30-day aged steak, but it was subpar, as were the other dishes. To make matters worse, my wine pour was less than a quarter-full, while I noticed other tables receiving significantly larger pours. Given the high price point, we expected much better quality and service. Definitely the low point of our otherwise great food tour of St. Louis!

Couldn't believe how cheap this place was you're getting top dollar food for reasonable prices. I've definitely eaten at restaurants all over the world couldn't believe the meal we got for right around $200 crazy for two of us will be coming back for sure.

Stopped by for dinner with my co workers. We were not impressed. The menu was limited the decor was outdated. We asked for our steaks medium and they were over cooked and honestly werent great. The only reason why I dont give it a lower rating its because the server was very good and was very attentive. Definitely overated wity inflated prices.

Went here to celebrate an 80th birthday. Staff was super friendly, it was nice and quiet which made it easy to talk, and service was great. We had toasted ravioli and candied scallops for an appetizer. Both were very good! Had a variation of steaks, all cooked perfectly well and delicious. Overall, a great experience! Would definitely recommend in the area, especially before or after a game.

We were provided a dinner at Carmine's from the contest I won and reservations were made for us on a Thursday evening at 8pm. Charles was our server. The restaurant is attached to the hotel we were staying at so it was really convenient. Upon arriving, we were greeted at the front and we informed them of our reservation. We were led right away to our table. The restaurant was busy for a weeknight. There were probably 10 tables with people at least. Once Charles greeted us, we ordered some cocktails to get started while we reviewed the menu. Our cocktails arrived and we decided to sip for a little before ordering. Hubs ordered the toasted ravioli for his appetizer and he was especially excited because he prefers meat over cheese ravioli. I was not a fan of it, as you can see from my picture. I ordered the wedge for my appetizer. Holy crap, I was getting so full off of that alone! For dinner, I ordered the surf and turf, along with additional prawns. Hubs ordered just a steak. We ordered corn and a twice baked potato as sides. We went way overboard. Everything tasted good but not out of this world amazing. We finished with some espresso and cake. Again, very good but we overdid it. The service was great. The ambiance was great. The check was over $300, which we did not think was going to be that high. I would definitely visit again if I stayed at the same hotel and definitely order less.

Carmine's Steakhouse is A-mazing! We were staying at the Hilton by the stadium and it is a short walk from there. I had the Chicken Modena w/a Potato Gratin that was made with 5 different cheeses. There is so much variety on menu. If you go, ask for Nancy. She is a stellar server and made my first visit so much more comfortable . 10/10 will def go back, after I check if Nancy is working!

Really good service - I think the waiter was the best part of the meal. The place was very empty and a bit dated. The food was so so - Not the best filet I've had but not the worst. The wine was very good and fairly priced.

This meal was pretty damn good. From my first Gorgonzola Stuffed Olive Beefeater Dirty Martini to my last bite of Carrot Cake dessert! First off, this place might have one of the better martinis I've had, and the stuffed olives were amazing! Lobster bites appetizer was very unique and tasty. My Gorgonzola 10oz Fillet was also perfect. Service was attentive and very professional. Explained everything very well and thanked us at the end of the meal. Find dinning at its best.

The service was average, ambience very outdated and food was underwhelming, ESPECIALLY for the price point. The risotto was not creamy. It was more of a flavored rice that was stuck together. The cheesy potatoes were just ok to me but my husband loved them. I was skeptical about most of their steaks coming on a bed of sauce. The steaks lacked seasoning so I guess they thought the sauces would make up for it? The Italian Pepperloin was ordered MEDIUM and came out Medium Rare. The gorgonzola was order medium and still had some rare spots. The gorgonzola sauce was so thick! Definitely not a wine sauce that I expected. My experience was just underwhelming. Disappointing.

What a fantastic nightcap! After a long day at the Gateway Arch or a night at Busch Stadium, this is the place to unwind. I stopped by after a Cardinals game expecting them to be closed, but to my surprise, they were keeping open past posted hours to entertain the Cardinals fans. The restaurant is beautiful and inviting. The service was attentive and loving, and the drinks and dessert had me wondering how good of a meal I had missed since I didn't come by for dinner earlier in the evening! If Carmine's is the kind of place that will welcome you for a drink and a treat after hours...then they definitely show the same love in their steak. I can't wait to come back!

After a long drive yesterday we stayed in a hotel next to this Steakhouse. As we were checking the outside menu, Michael from inside popped out to see if we were coming in. We had our little dog with us so we told him we'd have to put him up and return shortly. OH NO..... Michael said he could come in and have a seat with us. Well of course we went in.... We were greeted again by the bartender Adam who served us a beer, then gave us the specials of the day and a menu. Bethany came over to see if our dog, Scout would like some water. Based on our service alone, no food served yet, this place deserves a 10 star review and 5 bones . We sat in the bar area but there is a large dining room which is beautiful and great for special occasions or date night. On to dinner. We ordered a ribeye, which was perfectly cooked and accompanied by a twice baked potato. We got bernaise sauce and a couple others, YUMMY! I got a salad and sautéed spinach also delicious and hit the spot. Our most unique dish was the appetizer with bacon and jalapeño cake thing. It had texture similar to quiche but it was outta this world delicious. We also had the Onion Rings, Large, Tasty, Perfectly battered and cooked!! Everything about this place is TOP NOTCH. You must give this place a try it's OUTSTANDING!!! And we got our order to go because it was almost closing time.

The food was fabulous. Our table ordered halibut with spinach risotto. She said it was the best fish dish she had ever had. My other coworker ordered chicken gorganzola. The chef fixed it for her gluten/wheat issues. I ordered the double herb crusted pork chops and twice baked potato. Our server was fabulous. He was perfect and anticipated every one of our needs. The restaurant was decorated with dark woods and Chihuly glass art light fixers. It is old world glamour!

The steaks here are incredible, stay on this side of the river or get your affairs in order. Service is great, Jess is great. good wine selection.

The only thing that tricked us was the Toasted Ravioli. It has meat in it, and my wife is vegetarian. The Arancini was terrific and the table bread was also quite tasty. My wife had the Manicotti and I had the Chicken Lemonata. So great. The bottle of the house Gitto's Red was the perfect wine as well. Although claiming to have invented the toasted ravs, really did not enjoy them. Caprese salad was good for this time of year- early June. My go to meal to rate Italian restaurants is chicken Marsala, and was unfortunately the worst. Chicken was overcooked, rather tasteless and hard to cut. Very little sauce, but good mushrooms. Side of red pasta helped but was too sweet.

I was visiting St. Louis for the first time and I wanted to try foods that St. Louis was known for…read more(according to online research) and toasted ravioli kept popping up. Being from the Bay Area in California, I had never heard of toasted ravioli so I added it to my itinerary. I found this place on Yelp and saw that Guy Fieri (another Bay Area native) had featured it on his show so I settled on Anthonino's. I walked over from the Botanical Garden on a Friday afternoon around 12pm so that I could get a better feel of the streets, locals, surrounding shops, and the Hill neighborhood. The area was very calm, clean, safe and had a sense of pride. I enjoyed the sights and sounds throughout the streets and by the time I arrived at the front door, I was super excited to eat. I was seated quickly at the bar and given a menu and water. The bar staff were friendly and pleasant to talk to and also took my order within a few minutes. The restaurant quickly filled up behind me and it was a lively environment. I really appreciated that the TVs had sports shows on (huge sports fan and was in town to visit Busch Stadium) so it gives you something to look at. I ordered the toasted ravioli and a tiramisu. As a solo traveler, I have to limit how much I can order so this was the perfect amount for me. The food was amazing and I wished that I could have tried more plates. The ravioli had great flavors and texture and the tiramisu was so creamy and fresh. I would definitely return if the opportunity presented itself. The customer service from all staff members was amazing! Thank you for this experience :)

I also remembered seeing it featured on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, so we figured it had to be worth a try. When we arrived, we were asked if we had a reservation. We didn't, but noticed a few open seats at the bar and asked if we could sit there instead. The two bartenders welcomed us right away and told us they would take good care of us throughout the evening. My wife ordered an iced tea, and I started with an Old Fashioned. For an appetizer, we ordered the Toasted Ravioli ($14), which is handmade in-house and filled with ground beef, ricotta, and pecorino romano cheese, served with marinara sauce. It's one of the dishes featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. For dinner, my wife ordered the Chicken Marsala ($23), and I went with the Bolognese ($17), made with veal, pork, red wine gravy, cresta di gallo pasta, stracciatella, and Calabrian chili oil. The toasted ravioli arrived looking great. I tried one without the sauce first. The fresh pasta didn't fry up quite the way I expected. It was more flaky than crispy, and I was hoping for a little more crunch. The filling was decent but could have used a bit more seasoning and flavor. The marinara sauce also had a bitterness to it that wasn't my favorite. When our entrées arrived, both dishes looked and smelled wonderful. Unfortunately, the flavors didn't quite live up to the presentation. My wife's Chicken Marsala had good flavor overall, but the side pasta was very gummy, and the sauce again had a bitter note that seemed to overpower the dish. My Bolognese was the biggest disappointment of the evening. When I think of Bolognese or a rich meat ragù, I usually expect a wider pasta such as pappardelle. The cresta di gallo pasta wasn't my favorite choice for the dish, and it also had a gummy texture. The sauce itself suffered from the same bitterness that we noticed throughout the meal. Looking back, I probably should have ordered the Carbonara once I realized the Bolognese wasn't being served with the type of pasta I was hoping for. Overall, the meal was okay, but it didn't quite meet the expectations we had after seeing the restaurant featured on television and reading the reviews. The service was excellent, and the bartenders did a fantastic job taking care of us. While this visit was a bit disappointing, there were plenty of other dishes on the menu that looked great, and I would be willing to give Anthonino's another try and order something different.
