My car is out of warranty, so going to the dealer is not economically wise due to the markups. Ronk's prices are competitive with but is more affordable than the dealer's. Above all, Mike is honest and stands by his work. For example, in the Fall of 2018, Ronk replaced my brakes and rotors. This Spring, my brakes squeaked consistently during the rain, and Mike inspected them and explained that the brakes are good and function well; and that sometimes they squeak when constantly wet. He is certainly right because it is summer now, and my brakes no longer make noise. Lastly, Mike the owner is friendly and jovial. His customers and employees enjoy his jokes and outgoing personality. I highly recommend Ronk Auto for your routine maintenance needs.

I don't know much about cars, but there was something a little stiff with my steering, and I thought maybe the power steering or some belt was going. Took it into East Setauket Auto and asked them to take a look at it and let me know what needed to be done. They could've told me numerous things and hit me with some multi hundred dollar charges, but instead they looked at it and honestly told me nothing was wrong with it and no work needed to be done so I picked my car up no charge. That type of honesty is priceless and will recommend this auto shop to everyone who needs one. Great people here. Being a Saturday, not many shops were open. I used Yelp, and found this place. Not only were the reviews great, but they were open! My fiancé called, explained his current issue and the lovely gentleman on the phone took his name and told him to bring it in! He brought his car in and they told him they probably won't be able to get to it today due to closing in a few hours, but would try and then with the incoming storm it would probably be Tuesday. Not a problem at all! After I picked him up after he dropped his car off he said the gentleman behind the counter was very nice! Fast forward to Tuesday morning (due to the storm, didn't open Monday) they told him they couldn't find anything wrong or a reason for the smoke/steam. They stated they looked it over, drove it, had it run and still couldn't find anything. They also repaired another issue that a previous mechanic quoted him over $2k to fix for about $500. My fiancé was and is very happy with the service he received on his car. He stated he will now bring both of our cars here for all of our car needs!
