I cannot say enough good things! Every time I've brought my car to them, they've done excellent work without robbing me blind like the dealerships try to do. They're quick, kind, and always honest. I'm sure there must be repair shops out there that are just as good, but I don't think you'd be able to find one better. I recently needed a tire among some other repairs. I've purchased new tires at other shops and the cost at DJs was so much lower then I've found elsewhere. I first went to them at my friend's recommendation. She said to mention she sent me, which I did. The response I got was a friendly "oh nice!," but not the "oh really? We'll hook you up!" I expected. And then I figured out why. It really doesn't seem to matter if they've know you for 15 years or 15 minutes - they're friendly, fair, and quick to get back to work and get the job done! read more

My truck is my baby, and I do not trust just anyone to work on her!! The other day after a road trip upstate, I noticed that she wasn't accelerating normally and seemed to be in "limp mode". I called the shop and they fit me in asap to see what was going on. They were extremely attentive to my issue and acknowledged my love for this truck lol. Within no time I had the cause of the issue, and explanation as to what happened and a VERY reasonable price to repair it. I highly recommend this shop. Steer clear of this company if you are a minority female. I took my MR2 to this dealer on several occasions in 2019 for an oil change and basic service. I should have ran when the rear caliper became locked on rear tire. Caliper repaired ant the next visit for an oil change I would receive the vehicle back with it needing a clutch or new transmission. The owner told me he could replace it for about $800. I was suspicious and refused to allow them to repair the car. I took the car to my trusted mechanic who was in another town. I only went to DJ's because they were closer. My mechanic told me my original transmission or clutch was missing? It is my belief that they took out my clutch put in an old clutch and would have charged me to replace same transmission. There was nothing wrong with the clutch when they received the vehicle. My mechanic who had worked on the car in the past told me my clutch wasn't clutch he knew to be in the vehicle. They are a bunch of racist thieves. Steer Clear or you may need a lawyer to help with an unnecessary claim. read more

Made an appointment for a NYS inspection, showed up, car wouldn't pass because of a window tint... no problem. Made a second appointment after I removed the tint, I showed up and they were closed, didn't give me a call to let me know before I took time out to go to the shop. Called the next day for another appointment, grumpy man answers the phone, made it for 2 days later. Showed up for that appointment, no one has any idea my appointment exists, says they're so busy it's going to take all day. They won't be getting another opportunity to waste my time. read more

Came here on a late Saturday afternoon. I was expecting to leave my car for a couple of days since it was pretty late. I needed the standard oil change and inspection as well as a fix for my tire issue. I came in before work on a Saturday because my passat was giving off a burning smell, figured I needed an oil change. Jerry the owner took it in and gave me a speedy oil change. Now I love cars but am dumb as dirt to the science of them. The smell persisted and I noticed a leak where I was parked i brought it back the following tuesday and he had it fixed within minutes free of charge. I brought my car in to be fixed and kept getting the runaround about when it would be done. After four days the car still was not looked at and when I called the receptionist told me they were "working on it now" When I disputed a ridiculous price to fix a part I was told very rudely to come get my car that they were not going to work on it, so I was being lied to about the fact that they were working on it at all. Very shady business practices and completely dishonest!! read more

Best Mechanics on the Island in my opinion. Always have been honest with me and prices are not outlandish, but true to the work they are doing. This place is great, while 90% of mechanics on long island will rip you off, this place is run by fair and honest people, i wanted my breaks checked last week. I automatically assumed they would charge for breaks and possibly rotors as well. However they said i didnt even need breaks, which saved me a couple hundred right there. read more
