What a horrible salon. NEVER let Desiree do your hair she is so unprofessional and rude and she does thing her way not the way the client wants it. I sent my mother here for her birthday and ughhhh what a mistake this girl Desiree had no idea what she was doing she didn't want to cut nor dye my mothers hair the way she wanted Desiree did it however she felt like it. It looks like a 5 year old dyed my mother's hair it is so unacceptable. I tried contacting the manager and the owner so they could give me a refund and every time I called they never were able to pick up the phone or they were out sick. I demanded a refund for such an unpleasant time at this salon and the horrible service Desiree gave my mother. Got a hair cut with Desiree and it was one of the worst hair cuts I have ever paid for. Does this lady actually know how to cut hair??? Watching her cut my hair was like watching a 5 your old cut someone's hair--completely inexperienced and cutting random pieces of hair. It came out choppy and uneven. I might as well have cut my own hair with really dull scissors. I would have done a better job. Not only was the haircut horrible, she was coughing, beading down with sweat and kept looking away at other things like she didn't want to be there. I really hope I did not get COVID because I woke up with a bit of a sore throat. Lastly, she didn't even dry out my hair or checked my hair and had me leave with my hair uneven and WET. This experience was extremely disappointing and I would never come back again. Do not come here. Do not get your hair cut with Desiree. Horrible!!! This review is long overdue.... I have hesitated writing it because I don't want to make my chances of getting an appointment with Scott any more difficult, but after trying countless stylists and colorists, I have landed on the best of the best and I will continue coming back here without a doubt. Several years ago, I hesitantly tried Scott out per the recommendation of a friend. I went in for a simple trim as I did not really want to end up with another bad haircut. I walked out with the best cut of my life. My hair felt so healthy. Pros: Scott gives the best haircut. My cuts from him last and I have truly found my hair grows faster after one of his cuts. He has a great eye for color as well. After another salon destroyed my hair (I went in for balayage and came out bleach blonde - should have just gone to Scott in the first place but we live and we learn) he was able to cut it into a really cute lob and change the color to a beautiful wheat blonde which complimented my skin tone perfectly. I will never get my hair dyed by anyone besides Scott from now on. The cherry on top is that he also gives a killer head rub with peppermint oil when he washes your hair. Cons: NONE!!!! You will not be disappointed.. Tips: Parking is in the back of the salon and is free for several hours. Definitely make an appointment in advance as Scott is well loved. read more

I was kind of over my old salon (over-priced, a bit snooty, mediocre technique) so I went to Groupon to help me get a haircut. I (randomly) ended up with Scott as my stylist. He did a wonderful job! A first time with someone is always nerve-wracking but he was really on the ball. When I couldn't express what I wanted, he pulled up Google images to help me identify it so he could get it just right. (Smart.) My hair looks wonderful and I was able to style it easily the next day. He was nice to talk to, but (thank God) not that forced "omg let's be BFFs even though we just met" thing that stylists sometimes do. Anyway, definitely recommend Scott and would return. read more

I wasn't happy with the haircut I had gotten from a new stylist I tried out. It was Friday and I was feeling spontaneous. I have walked by the salon occultness times since I work in the building (where it's located) and that day, I walked in and asked the super friendly front desk gal if anyone was free to do a quick cut for me. She was able to get me an appointment for about 30 minutes later, which was no problem for me. I came back to meet with Marissa. She was great. She sat me in the chair and listened to me of what the issue was that I needed to resolve. She was detailed to how she was going to help and I really appreciated that. I left the salon feeling much lighter - and she only cut about an inch off, but it helped. The guy who botched my hair, she was able to to make even again. Thank you Marissa. I moved to Oregon over a year ago, and I Honestly come down here to see Desiree. She's That Good. I get many Compliments in Oregon about my Hair (They know no one in the area I live, does layers like her. They are all sad she's not in Oregon. She would have a waiting list here if she moved here). This past Sunday, I had scheduled a haircut at 9am with Scott John so it would look nice for my bridal shower at 11am. I showed up to find a dark salon and no sign of Scott. I called repeatedly but there was no answer on the salon phone line and no explanation. In a panic, I ran down Lake Ave. to Drybar, which had a last minute cancellation at 9:30 so luckily they could accommodate me! Talk about STRESS on what's supposed to be one of the happiest days! Two days later, the salon called to say Scott "had the flu" and forgot to take down my number to call me not to come. Scott didn't even have the courtesy to apologize to me personally over the phone--their receptionist did it, awkwardly.
