The owner himself was in on my visit today and we had a great conversation. The owner and his staff are super friendly and always willing to help with any of your needs. The meat they carry is always high end prime or wagyu which is always delicious. The seasoning on the meat if you get it prepared is delicious! The meat is always super tender. I have tried tons of meat markets but my family and I always find ourselves coming back to La Carne Meat Market. I called on the phone and asked if I could order ten pounds of ground chuck. They said they would have it ready in one hour. I did not specify how I wanted it packaged so when I arrived it was in two five pound bags. The owner asked if that was OK and I said yes because we take it home and vacuum seal it in one pound portions. He told me next time when I order remind him and they will have it vacuum sealed in 1 pound packages for us. This is a great place to do business. They even carried the packages they had put in a box to our car. Good old fashion Bakersfield hospitality. The way it used to be.
