We always talked about visiting, but every time we are downtime we don't ever think of this place. We ended up here because our original choice for lunch was super busy and there was no parking so we drove around and I said.... Hey let's go to Martin's meats, we haven't had their food in a minute. When we got there, it wasn't busy at all. The people there was super duper nice. I actually enjoyed our interaction, I could be wrong but I think the one that took our orders was Martin himself. He was very pleasant, I didn't know what to get, he didn't pressure us or anything and allowed us to take our time. I want to say that the sweet lady in the back was his wife and she was helping with the orders too. While we waited for our food I did notice that they were giving out food to homeless people asking for food. In a time where people are struggling and the economy is the way it is, I really loved seeing this. When you walk in, it's not just a BBQ spot, it's also a cute little grocery store/meat market with fresh produce. There's not a lot of tables to sit at, but they don't have too many people dining in so you wont have a hard time finding a place to sit. The prices are decent and they have something for everyone. I would love to come back again, even though it's a little drive away. Parking is not too bad either since it's not that busy, but if you don't want to head downtown, I believe they still go out to the Farmer's Market every weekend, but I absolutely recommend Martin's meats, the BBQ is delicious. :-)

We wandered around and checked out the variety of products they offer. The store is laid out very nicely. On checkout, we mentioned it was our first visit there, and we got two free sausages of our choice. Can't beat that. We cooked the chicken thighs that night. They were tender and delicious. We had the chili verde day yesterday. We slow cooked it in the afternoon, and enjoyed it in the evening. This is a very comfortable place to shop and we're looking at going back.
