Finally got to try this spot after seeing them on Facebook and following their page. This place is located on the edge of Yuba City just before Marysville and in what is now an industrial or business area of town. I love me some carnitas and this place specializes in that, so much so that it was their only meat available today. No problem for me but my girlfriend was a little disappointed. The three of us were all going to go with individual carnitas plates which were about $13 each until I seen the combo #1. It comes with 1 1/2 pounds of carnitas meat, 16 oz of rice, 16 oz of beans, 18 corn tortillas and a 2 liter soda. This was $30 before taxes, a great deal! The Mexican music here was blasting loud which was nice and set the mood for an authentic Mexican spot. The cashiers English was nonexistent but luckily my mother in law translated and we got the deal done. The tables weren't clean though and it was a little warm inside which wasn't ideal since we sat down to eat. The rice and beans were spectacular. My mother in law was impressed as was I. Their beans were in between refried and whole, just perfect. Great flavor on them. The carnitas and buche was juicy and we ate a lot and still had plenty for leftovers. We got cilantro, onions and limes with our order. Their salsa was really good. It was spicy yet creamy and flavorful. While we sat and ate plenty of people got orders to go and if we go back it will be for pick up.

We have been watching this restaurant being prepared and went there a while ago. I could not find them on Yelp so I wrote my review on their Natomas location: We ordered four carnitas tacos with rice and beans. The server (maybe the owner) was very friendly and helpful with our order. The tacos were super stuffed and came with tasty rice and beans. We ordered water and our server gave us free bottled water as he wasn't sure of the quality of the tap water (We appreciated that) We will definitely be back to try the birria.

No meat in burrito. Honestly thought she had mistaken me for a rice burrito instead. Would recommend

I met the owner JUAN and he said they have been in business for 58 years! I certainly can see why! I ordered the 2 beef enchiladas with rice and beans. It also came with soup and warm fresh tortillas. Complimentary chips and salsa. Both the ground beef and shredded beef enchiladas were tasty! I tried a few bites of everything and it was delicious! The chicken soup was flavorful with corn. The red salsa was mild but the green salsa was awesome because it was spicy and tasty! YUM! They have a full bar and special margaritas. I had a nice chilled chardonnay with lunch. They also have a lady near the front making fresh tortillas. It was a really great experience with quick service and friendly employees ! Thank you Juan and Megan for superior service. I will be back! Btw...I was able to watch Argentina play while I was eating. BONUS!

Sweet sweet find - thanks to Yelpers, of course. We were out on a day trip from Sacramento and…read morelanded in town at supper time. Boom. Opened Yelp app on the phone and scrolled through. It so happened we were directly across the street from this place, and without the Yelpers, we NEVER would have noticed it. Small street frontage, sharing a small parking lot with a few other businesses. So, we pull in anyway. We open the door hoping for the best, but confident that Yelpers don't lie. WOW! The tantalizing aroma hit first, then the clean and orderly vibe, then the comfy chairs. Seated immediately, then waters and chips and salsa. So many options on the menu but we finally settled on Chicken Fajitas for me and Chicken Tamale for the hubs. Lawsy, Miss Scarlett, we done hit the motherlode of deliciousness and fresh tasty Mexican food. We each stopped about halfway through our meals to enjoy leftovers the next day -- and save room for dessert. I had their flan - twice the size of a piece of cheesecake. Hubs had Ice Cream Nachos - scoops of ice cream on cinnamon/sugar corn chips with chocolate syrup and whipped cream. We both agree that the 40-minute drive north from Sacramento is worth it to explore more of what this 12-years-running, woman-owned, amazing restaurant has to offer. Reasonable prices, yummy grub, stellar service. Oh, and ya gotta love a well-appointed restroom with design touches and a painting of Frida Khalo (see pic).

Visited June 13 2026. See my receipt as always…read more Many friends told me to try this place in Yuba City and I am glad I did! It's away from most businesses in an upscale residential street. They open at 11am and there was people already waiting to get in. Always a good sign! I ordered the two item lunch and chose beef and chicken enchiladas. It came with rice and beans. All very good! Complimentary chips and salsa. The salsas were screaming! Fresh and the green salsa made my eyes water! Love it! This place has indoor and covered outside seating. Dog friendly! They also have another space in the back for events and more with another full bar ( 2 full bars total). They have bar seating and regular seating. Good for groups! Plenty of parking. What was unusual is they have an expansive bathroom..did not expect that. The waiter said they have live music as well! Overall a great experience with leftovers! Ps. Plenty of parking!
