This place was recommended to me by a friend. Took me a while to come here and today was it. Little spot on the corner. Parking is very limited and tiny very hard to get out. I suggest parking on the street. The guy at the window was so kind and polite. Outdoor seating available. I got mine to go but I took a couple bites before leaving. The carnitas had a peculiar taste, I cannot pinpoint the seasoning, however I did not like it at all. Their chicharrones were stale and flavorless, it was not edible at all. What was good were the homemade tortillas but I would not recommend this place. read more

Carnitas tasted really good, probably the best in the Valley. The biggest knock has been the service as of late. I've been ordering a pound of Carnitas multiple times throught the week and received less and less meat every time. I figured it would be under $15. They wanted $23.50. That is crazy!! The nachos didn't even have real cheese only the nacho cheese sauce for the cheese. Within about 15 minutes everything was soggy. If you gave up pork or pork products for lent, I feel sorry for you because you are gonna have to wait until after Easter to try some of the best carnitas out there. This was one of those lucky days where I was at an office in the area. While waiting for the accounting manager he calls my cell and says,", I am at this killer little taco stand, best carnitas you have ever had, want some? " I am like ya, whatever I will give 'em a go. The others in the office were buzzing about waiting with mouth watering anticipation. "Good or Best Tacos ever" is bandied about so much, I paid little mind when they arrived wrapped in foil. In fact I busied myself with my task at hand wanting to beat LA traffic back to the O.C. As I unwrapped the foil, the savory aroma of the fresh and amazingly soft corn tortillas filled the air. Inside was the most tender, without being greasy or grisly or fatty, soft but crisped carnitas meat I have ever encountered. The pico de gallo was great, real, authentic with a perfect kick of jalapeños. They had a red and green salsa as well that were very unique and very appealing What a treat! Now, I did not go to the location and have no idea how much they cost ,but this, my friends.... is what REAL authentic street tacos should be! Located in the East SF valley hood of good 'ol Pacoima these are hands down the best carnitas tacos I have ever eaten! My understanding is people wait there for their amazing chicharones too. The two brothers who run this place know what they are doing and I would love to see them on triple D.
