Best tacos ever. We commute about an hour just to be able to have these tacos. It's definitely a hole in the wall, but so damn good.

I like it charred a little. I could have eaten a tub of their rice. So light, fluffy and flavorful. I'm not a bean person but even the beans were hitting the spot. So much I would order them again. Usually I try the beans once and that's it. I'm pretty sure the tortillas were homemade. I loved that they were thick enough to hold everything but soft enough to eat. Salsa was a little too spicy for my liking. Everything was seasoned well. Everyone was very nice! But I definitely had to use my high school Spanish. Between my Spanglish and her English it was no problem. It's a very small hole in the wall. Cases of beer were stacked against the wall. There were only about 5-6 two top tables. Not good for a crowd but definitely great food. I think there was one unisex bathroom. I didn't go in. Looking at the pictures online I didn't know there was an outdoor patio. Looks nice in the pictures. I'm not sure about a parking lot. We parked on the street on Parthenia which was a little scary because drivers don't care about people getting out of the car.

The fajitas arrived sizzling, perfectly seasoned, and generously portioned -- definitely great for sharing. The ceviche was bright, fresh, and beautifully balanced with that clean citrus kick that keeps you going back for more. A standout detail for me was the unlimited Colombian coffee -- smooth, aromatic, and constantly refilled, which made the whole meal feel extra warm and welcoming. Gilma, who took care of our table, provided truly amazing service: friendly, attentive, and effortlessly on top of everything without hovering. Prices are very reasonable especially considering the big portions and overall quality, and the plenty of parking makes the visit even more convenient. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, perfect for a casual meal where you can take your time and enjoy. For a first visit, this felt like discovering a neighborhood gem -- already looking forward to coming back.

The same women have been working there as long as we've be going. Very personable and friendly. Helpful with questions and suggestions. When you order, they give you a tray with chips and a delicious cheesy bean dip. They have a salsa bar with 5 different choices, sauted carrots and peppers and some onions. The food is always generous and delicious. We ordered (my hubby) a wet, Lengua (beef tongue) Mojado burrito with salsa verde and cheese. I ordered the Camarones (Shrimp) Rancheros w/ corn tortillas. It came with beans, rice and salad. Go give be them a try.

The asada plate is always on point, their only downfall is the lack of a liquor license but if you're not here to drink it's a great spot. I honestly wish they'd bring back the karaoke as I loved seeing the older crowd sing their hearts out, my absolute favorite thing about the check out process is the fact that I can pay for the meal with my phone by scanning a QR code on my receipt. I'm not sure whose idea that was but give that person a raise, it's so convenient to not have to hand my card over to a server and then sign the receipt. Definitely try this place out, you won't be disappointed

It's not soggy and it holds its shape. The birria consomé itself is something I come back for by itself. You can definitely taste the cloves. I reccomend asking for more lime. They've definitely improved a lot service wise! More than a year ago it took my and my friends more than 20-30 minutes to get our food. It was really off putting but the birria was enough to come back and I live really close. Last couple times I've gone this year and late last year they have improved to less than 15 minutes depending on the size of the order. Their baja fish and shrimp tacos taste just like the ones alongside baja california (i know since i did a roadtrip along that coast) If you like fish tacos it's a must try!! Come here please you won't be disappointed!! Your Mexican parents won't be disappointed either (mine loved it) On a side note, la plaza del valle is an open area concept. They only have outdoor seating so plan accordingly since it absorbs any weather. They have multiple murals and wall art/decor to honor mexican culture and other latino cultures in the plaza (of which I am so proud of) Parking is nice and easy in the back. Check it out!

Poncho's Taqueria did not disappoint. Great customer service and friendly cashier. The portions of food servings in each item ordered were of good size and enough. Loaded Nachos was delicious with carne asada, guacamole. sour cream and salsa to name a few. The 2 Chicken Plates we ordered were fulfilling. The chicken was tender and not overcooked nor undercooked. The Birria De Res Bowl were plentiful and meat was tender and flavorful as well as the Asada Plate. My neighbor always comes here so I decided hey since I don't have a car let me walk myself down there and try their food! Honestly the food was great. If you do decide to drive there is a parking lot in the back or side! But to let you know it's on a Main Street so be careful it's next to a street where I knew someone who got in mild car accident there. The service was great. You walk in and order and pay. You find a seat and they bring the food to you freshly made. I got pig feet I believe in my menudo! I will come back and see if I will truly recommend this place because it's a one time thing so far. But it's quiet and chill. The ambiance is regular. Nothing too flashy or dressy. I have it a four because their soda fountain spreed out and was missing the bottom of the thing to place my cup. ***NOT CHEAPP***…read more this place is okay, you'd think they'd cater to the people of the valley with prices but almost every plate was over $20, for a party of 4 the price came to around $70 tax included, it was an order of menudo and two orders of three quesa birria tacos, with three drinks. And my plate the chilaquiles rojo with only eggs no protein added (asked for spicy//supposed to be spicy, sauce was more sweet) I think that's why they added the jalepeno because they knew it wouldn't be spicy. The area is also very small and awkward sometimes because with how close everyone is you can basically hear everyone's chisme and banter I'd suggest only coming here once to try it but don't be a regular , the service was also okay no one seemed very welcoming For sanitizing the place seemed clean and I didn't find any bugs in my food but the flavor wasn't giving , which is ashamed since they pride themselves on everything being home made :( I suggest to try other areas for breakfast / brunch
