Delicioso!!! Food was delicious and very fresh. I definitely felt like I was at my Tia's house and she was cooking for me. I could smell the flavor on the carne asada. I like it charred a little. I could have eaten a tub of their rice. So light, fluffy and flavorful. I'm not a bean person but even the beans were hitting the spot. So much I would order them again. Usually I try the beans once and that's it. I'm pretty sure the tortillas were homemade. I loved that they were thick enough to hold everything but soft enough to eat. Salsa was a little too spicy for my liking. Everything was seasoned well. Everyone was very nice! But I definitely had to use my high school Spanish. Between my Spanglish and her English it was no problem. It's a very small hole in the wall. Cases of beer were stacked against the wall. There were only about 5-6 two top tables. Not good for a crowd but definitely great food. I think there was one unisex bathroom. I didn't go in. Looking at the pictures online I didn't know there was an outdoor patio. Looks nice in the pictures. I'm not sure about a parking lot. We parked on the street on Parthenia which was a little scary because drivers don't care about people getting out of the car. read more

I was in the area and dropped by to try their breakfast burrito - I figured if I found street parking then it was meant to be, and it was! The parking here is so difficult and I will never park in the back ever again because it's so tight and horrible, with only one lane in/out. I came here before for dinner and really enjoyed the food so I'm glad it worked out for me to try their burrito for breakfast. Really wanted to like their food from the amazing looking pictures on their page. We ordered breakfasts to-go and unfortunately neither plate was what we expected. I ordered the chilaquiles and requested both red and green since it was my first time trying them out I wanted to taste both salsas. I know it's a tricky dish for take out considering texture but we live close by so I wasn't concerned. And as I expected the texture of the chilaquiles was fine. You can tell they'd been drenched in salsa at one point with nice softness but not soggy. However they were lacking salsa once packed and severely severely lacking flavor. All I could taste was a small hint of tomatillo. My husband ordered huevos con machaca with a side of chorizo. I tried the machaca and again it was extremely bland. The chorizo was packed in its casing which was not aesthetically pleasing but at least it had flavor. The only thing that stood out was the rice and beans; now THOSE were delicious. They also don't have cafe de olla which was a bummer for a Mexican breakfast. Overall the only compliments I can give out is for their rice and beans and how generously portions are served. Look past the environment because the food and the service will make you feel like you're dining in someone's kitchen in their home!! I also like to order an à la cart chile relleno because it's usually a nice small side. This chile relleno was the size of the plate and was probably the best chile relleno I've had in my life. EVERYTHING was so fresh and filling! Reasonable prices for such generous portions! And the ladies who work there were just lovely and friendly and attentive! We had to go to our eye, we are not from this area so I yelped best Mexican food near by and Daisy's had great reviews. We took a chance and actually passed by it, it's a little hole in the wall. When we arrived the music was playing loud and I hesitated. We were greeted by two very nice waitstaff ladies. They quickly gave us homemade chips with chorizo bean dip that was delicious. I ordered the asada burrito it was full of meat and delicious. My husband had a Shrimp Torta with cactus, it's was so good!! The tortillas were handmade and also very good!! Yummy menudo with freshly made thick hot corn tortillas . Great flavors. My son got the red chilaquiles and those were delicious too. When you are seated, They bring out some crisp tostadas to use to dip into a little bean dip, salsa roja and pico del gallo. The orange juice was amazing. Fresh squeezed into a huge glass. The service was top notch as well, they were really nice and checked in on us frequently. We sat in their back patio. There is parking back there too. You can also sit in front on the restaurant but the back patio definitely has a chill vibe. They have a big speaker playing music too. We finally tried this gem. Excellent service, fabulous menu, quality ingredients. I love how fresh everything is. The Molcajete de mariscos is great for two people on a cold night. My husband enjoyed his carne asada plate. The meat is cooked well done, I personally prefer medium rare so I would probably request medium rare if I order that next time. I totally want to try the ceviche tostada plate or camarones tostadas. Daisy wasn't there but the daughter was and she was very lovely. Plenty of seating on their outside patio, they have a TV out there too. They have a few indoor seats. We went for dinner on a weeknight and got lucky with seats. Plenty of people dining in solo or coupled up. Credit cards, cash, Apple Pay etc accepted. Very clean facility including the restrooms. There is parking in the back but be warned that it is a bit tight and good luck turning around. Street parking is available but it was very crowded and we didn't see any parallel parking available. Overall I would come here again. It's authentic, quality food and service, they have their own style and flavor. A true gem. read more

This is a hole in the wall restaurant that seems to be a neighborhood favorite. There are not many tables inside, but they have a lot of covered seating outside behind the restaurant. Parking is limited, but we found some nearby at a strip center. 4/5 - Complimentary Tostadas: Served with pico de gallo, salsa and bean dip. Really good. 4/5 - Horchata 4/5 - Eggs, Beans & Carne Asada: My husband requested this (since it's not on the menu) and they made it for him. He was very happy. 2/5 - Beef Machaca: The beans and rice and tostada were really good. I didn't love the machaca though. The food came out to 3.5 stars. Service was friendly and attentive, so I will bump it up to 4 stars. I think this is probably a good lunch / dinner location. read more

Second time coming here. The first time I came here they gave beans, salsa and chips before and the beans were really good. Came back, but seemed they weren't doing it. I got an asada burrito and the meat was not flavorful at all. Last time I came the meat was really dry. Honestly came back for the beans(which I didn't get). On both occasions there has been men passed out from drinking so much and both times all the tables were full of men just drinking. Feels more like a bar. I'd come here for a drink because they play really good music, but probably pass on the food. read more

The parking is in the back through an alley. It's small and has awkward spaces, but it exists so "yay" for that. When I first walked in, the door stuck and I thought it wouldn't open but I just pushed a little harder and it worked! Just shows you, persistence works sometimes. :-) The inside is the most casual (some boxes on the side, no fancy decorations etc), with about 4 tables that seat between 2-4. I can imagine that at its peak, most will do takeout because there would be no place to dine-in. But since we came for breakfast we were able to secure a table for 4 very easily and greeted with welcoming hospitality. The server(s) know their menu and didn't write down our orders which always worries me, but happy to say, they got everything right so nothing more to say about that. It's very much a locals place because several people came in, knew the workers by name, and didn't even need a menu to order what they wanted. The huevos con machaca was tasty--perfect tender beef pieces scrambled in eggs, bell peppers, onions--with beans and rice. Everything came together perfectly and the portion was just right. I felt full but not stuffed. It came with homemade tortillas--and you can just tell they are--soft and light and perfect to dip in the salsa. The breakfast burrito is huge and delicious. Another dish to try is the huevos con chorizo. Their prices are reasonable. A wish though--that they switch to reusable cups to serve water instead of styrofoam. read more

Just WOW!! This place had the most delicious food. It has been a while since I had some authentic Hispanic food. This was finger licking good. I had the red chilaquillas and everything tasted well balanced, on point seasoning, and just overall delicious. My brother had the carne asada and that was also seasoned well. The beans were not salty at all (some places the beans are salty). You think there is no seating but they have seating in the back, which is the only way to get there is through the kitchen.
