I have cruised the Carnival Jubilee a few times. This review is focused on my cabin selection and a couple of adventures we enjoyed for my son's birthday. The Havana balcony cabin was chosen very carefully. I looked at many reviews and videos of this cabin and location before booking. We had cabin 8273 starboard. I wanted to be able to walk to the dedicated bar and pool without walking around the ship. Havana experience is for guests 12 and up so feels like an adult only experience when you are in the area. Our cabin slept 4 but we had 3. The cabin was a standard cabin size, made a little smaller due to the balcony, which was a large porch with steps leading out to the deck. It had a lounger, a short chair and a swing chair. You could enter and exit through the patio but couldn't lock the balcony door. It was so easy to step out to get a drink. Location was excellent as it was one flight up from the theater. Views beautiful. I sat out and read many mornings, how great to hear nothing but the ocean waves crashing against the ship. I will definitely book this area again and even better, on other ships of this type, they have a hot tub and bigger pool. The pool was always empty because it was really cold but so beautiful. I had my share of Cuban inspired drinks, from coffees to beers. At night, events were held in the lounge or live bands. Cabin storage space was great and the only bad thing is the restroom is tiny. Also on this trip we rode the roller coaster (15.00) but buy 2 get 1 free. We also dined at the Teppanyaki restaurant which was 79.00 pp. great show and food. read more

I've sailed with multiple cruise lines and all their ships have unique personalities. While I've really enjoyed the energy of Carnival ships, many of the vessels badly needed upgrades. The relatively new Jubilee offers much appreciated space and a variety of events and dining options unmatched by their older ships. I love the larger ships where thorough exploration takes days to complete. The decor and colors are much classier than expected. There are several additional restaurants that offer really tasty meals and the included food stations are very good as well. The ship's staff is friendly and go well beyond expectations to ensure that the passengers have a great vacation. The mega ships like Jubilee have so much to offer passengers of all ages. Even at capacity the ship didn't feel overly crowded. I've already booked my next sailing and can't wait to see what that experience brings. read more

I've been cruising with Carnival since the late 90s. As a child, going on a cruise was a magical experience. As an adult, it's not nearly as magical... but still a great time. This was my first go on the Jubilee and I now have a new favorite ship. I would love this ship even more if it did an 8 day to the Bahamas since that would mean one extra day on board AND going to my favorite stops. The Jubilee is one of the biggest of the Carnival ships, and is longer than 3 football fields. With 19 decks, there are so many things to do, places to eat/drink, and spots to hang out or shop. Seven days on this ship just doesn't feel like enough... so I'm ready for my next go on the Jubilee lol. I definitely don't recommend this ship as your first cruise because it would probably make all the smaller ships seem less exciting. Don't get me wrong, I will still gladly go on the other ships and oddly enough, the Legend - which is one of Carnival's smallest ships - is my second favorite behind the Jubilee. However, if the Jubilee is where your expectations start, then you might be let down by one of the other ships. So let's get into it... the Jubilee is HUGE, holds thousands of people, and is a nonstop adventure. You want to spend your time eating, swimming, playing in the casino, relaxing in child free zones, sitting and reading, people watching, watching movies in your room, taking a nap, shopping, riding a rollercoaster, doing a ropes course, playing games and trivia, going on excursions at ports? You can... and so much more. And while that all sounds like you'd be packed into a sardine can and miserable for a week, it couldn't be further from the truth. Things are so spread out on the Jubilee that people are all over the ship and not just crowding into one place. Yes, the elevators can get a bit busy at times... and the embarkation/debarkation process is quite crowded... but that's just cruise life. I HIGHLY recommend checking this ship out. So why would I give 4 stars to my favorite ship? Well... it's really one thing... The bathrooms in the rooms (and kind of the small elevators). Cruise ships aren't known for having huge rooms. They have to fit a lot in a small amount of space and I totally get that. However, the bathrooms in the rooms are typically decently sized for spending a week on board. When you're a larger lady - such as myself - you need that space. The Jubilee doesn't offer that and as the person who typically goes back to their room to go to the bathroom, that was not the case on this ship. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate that the rooms are a bit longer and provided a much better layout for the placement of a crib. It was nice that my toddler had his own little space to sleep that wasn't taking up part of the walkway like on other ships. HOWEVER, I'd gladly give up a little more space in the room for a bigger bathroom. It's not like we spend most of our time in the room anyways. So they lost a star for comfort honestly. If I'm spending a week on a ship, I want my room to accommodate my needs. Other than that, my only other complaint would be the theater seating in the theater. Instead of benches like most ships have, they have theater seating. Not the best for larger people and also not the best for wiggly toddlers. All that said, I'm still SO excited for my next trip on the Jubilee and I'm sad that I don't already have it scheduled. read more

My first excel ship experience and it was great! The ship is huge, it will take a couple of days to figure out your way but you will. So many different food and entertainment options for everyone. Porting to this boat in Galveston was pretty easy especially if you use offsite parking that shuttles you here. read more

This is my third excel ship I've been on and by far the best out of the three in my opinion. The staff, food the atmosphere was amazing. There are a few things I do dislike about the excel ships are the elevators are smaller and no air circulation, and they get really packed and hot. To me this ship food options seemed a little better than the past excel ships I've been on. Also don't care for the pool location on top deck seemed it could have been designed better so it's more room to roam and have a good time. But overall it is a beautiful ship. read more

We took a trip on Father's Day 2025 from Galveston port! Nothing to complain about!!!! Food was excellent, service was outstanding. Idk why people are so angry about everything nowadays. Here's a rundown of things that were still memorable a week after disembarking: - ELEVATORS were plentiful, but painfully slow, as they served thousands of people and their many wheeled items (luggage, strollers, wheelchairs, etc.), up and down about 18 floors. TIP: Just get on, even if it's going in the opposite direction--secure a spot if you really need to use the elevators. Otherwise, take the STAIRS. - BREAKFAST BUFFET was much smaller, with fewer variations each day, than what I'm used to on a cruise. One dude surveyed the options and declared himself, "Not impressed." However, it offered all the basics and still fattened us up, while cutting down on a ton of wasted food, which I'm totally on board with. - OTHER FOOD OPTIONS abound throughout the ship, namely on floors 8 and 16. Capitano and Chi-Bang were included as part of our trip, but might require additional costs later. Capitano is worth visiting, but I preferred the main dining room over Chi-Bang. - HUB APP is a must-download for the days' activities, your personal reservations (daily dinner and any excursions you've signed up for through Carnival), and a virtual map of the ship. There's also a chat feature that costs $5/USER (not per family); it worked most of the time...eventually. If your family has a set of walkie-talkies, bring those instead. + TOUCHLESS SENSORS for shared restrooms kept us from having to pull or push the doors open. Be patient with the doors and with yourselves as you get used to them. + CAMP OCEAN was outstanding! Of the 3 cruises we've done with kids, Jubilee's has been the most engaging camp for our 10yo and 3yo. Long and late hours, 8AM (?) until 10PM, even for the younger kids! Camp Ocean issued us a cell phone to hang onto for the ENTIRETY of the trip because of our 3yo. QUESTION for CARNIVAL: Why not check-out the phones upon kid drop-off, then swap the kid for the phone upon pick-up, each time? You're giving people who might be partying hard in the middle of the ocean an added responsibility, then fining them in the Likely event that they lose it. + ENTERTAINMENT was family-friendly during the day and rowdy and raunchy in the evening. "Dear Future Husband" was fun for our kids as they sang along to the pop songs, and they were dazzled by the acrobatics at the Grand Central theater. WARNING: Front row of the comedy shows is reserved for those with thick skin and a strong sense of humor, not for the faint of heart nor the self-important. Pearl-clutchers need not attend. - ALL 3 POOLS were frigid and deep (5ft, give or take 3 in), which means all 5 hot tubs were packed with kids and adults. The Serenity area and Havana bar have additional pools and hot tubs for adults only. You're welcome. + SERVICE, as always, was friendly, fastidious, and pre-tipped, this trip. Our room attendant, Adrian, was very kind to our family, and I'm sure all attendants had to deal with at least 1 night of upchuck due to seriously rocky weather. Said storms kept us from going to Costa Maya, so we spent two days in Roatan, Honduras instead of the one scheduled. I overheard people at breakfast bragging about the mob they joined to let the captain know just how pissed they were about this change of plans. Calm the duck down, y'all. He's trying to keep us safe, your excursions have been refunded, and we still have plenty of provisions. Get into that icy pool and chill TF down--you're on vacation! read more

Gluten free review: We decided to jump on a ship and go to Mexico on the Carnival Jubilee. It's a ship built in December. Here's my take. For gluten free food (in general) included we have it a 3 out of 5. There wasn't a whole lot for us. Dairy free gets a 1 out of 5. There was not a lot at all for dairy free. They were absolutely no desserts with the exception of one restaurant (the one included) that had a lime sorbet. If you went anywhere else, you could only get fruit. Here are the restaurants and the stars we gave them. * lido deck market place: 2 out of 5. Not much to get here. * Chi Bang: 4 out of 5 Pork tacos so yummy. Service was wonderful and understanding. * Cucina del Capitano (Italian): 2 out of 5. Not a whole lot here either. We had tiramisu for dessert. Minus the bread just the pudding part. Service not too good. * Guys Burgers: 5 out of 5 The bread was pretty good! When you're up, you ask them for gluten-free bread step to the side and wait about 5 minutes. They have it to you. We thought this was easy and pretty good. * Pacific Restaurant: 2 out of 5. Horrible service. It took us 3 hours to finish eating. We would get food then wait 30 or more minutes for the next course. It took us an hour to get desserts. So long that most of our party left. The staff asked us to "understand and sit down" so we did but most left after 30 more minutes of waiting. * Bonsai Sushi: 5 out of 5. This place cost money. The staff was great! The lady who helped us was very knowledgeable with what we needed for allergies. The food is very nourishing and very, very good! They had gluten-free soy sauce and plenty of options. we ended up paying for a few nights just to become full for once. * Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse | Brewhouse: 4 out of 5. I wasn't able to eat there as they spiced everything up but my gluten free family said the food was tasty. * Coastal Slice: 2 out of 5. The bread wasn't that tasty and the line is sooooooo long (40 minutes on a good day). I received my pizza. It was kind of burnt. They do, however cook your pizza in a separate oven. * Beach Buns: 4 out of 5 for taste. My daughter ate there and gave it this vote. We would love to have eaten there, but the line was about 40 minutes long. * JavaBlue Cafe: 3 out of 5. Not a lot but good when you got it. Another long line. We were not fans of his cruise and will not be going back. They had more people than they ever had room and space. There were sometimes things were so busy. We just went back to our room because there was no room for us. The food lines were long you had to get to any show and wait in the line an hour early. The elevators were so full. We just walked up flights of stairs no matter how many. We have done many cruises, but this is the only one we walked away, hungry from as people with all allergies. read more

I had the pleasure of sailing on Carnival Jubilee the week of Christmas in 2024. I have been on many other Carnival ships previously, and I initially noticed that the interior rooms were noticeably smaller than rooms on previous ships I have been on. I did appreciate that the bathroom seemed slightly larger and the shower design was better than the older ships. The entertainment and shows were quite impressive and enjoyable, and the quality of the performers was much better than you would expect on a cruise ship. The food was consistent and spectacular. I always look forward to certain items on Carnival cruise ships, specifically the pizza which is very authentic and made with 00 flour and simple ingredients. The deli is also quite tasty, and my kids could not get enough tuna sandwiches on this trip. Guy's burger grills up an amazing burger that pretty much beats any smash burger that you can get anywhere. The new edition that was amazingly delicious is Big Chicken that serves chicken sandwiches (you can request dark meat), chicken tenders and some of the most crispy fries you will ever taste (the fries are thin and rectangular which optimizes the crispy potential). The Seaday brunch has an excellent steak and eggs and a yogurt parfait that is better than any other parfait I have ever consumed. The port day brunch has a broken egg sandwich with perfectly buttered artisan bread and egg, cheese and bacon goodness. Main dining is also delicious and the variety is quite impressive. My diagnosis: spectacular food and great entertainment on the newer Carnival ships such as Jubilee. Highly recommended! read more

This was my 11th cruise and 7th on Carnival. The Jubilee is a newer ship and we sailed out of Galveston the week of Christmas 2024. My family had a spectacular time!! Pros: - everything around the ship is fairly new and you can definitely tell the difference between this one and the older ships. - the food is amazing and has remained amazing for at least the past 10 years on Carnival. In my opinion, the quality and flavor of the food - particularly from the main dining room - is way better than Royal Caribbean and Disney. Call me crazy if you want. My taste buds don't lie to me. - you must get the melting chocolate cake for dessert. I got it almost every evening and was pleasantly surprised every time. - Shaq's Big Chicken is legit. So good! Fries are seasoned to perfection and crispy every time. Almost no line at most times. - the roller coaster (Bolt) is faster and more thrill than expected. You do have to reserve a spot ahead of time and it does cost extra money which kind of sucks. $30 for 3 people. - the shows are top notch. We went to a show almost every evening after dinner and had a great time. Get there early to nab good seats, especially if you have a big party and want to sit together. - Gotta try Street Eats (deck 16) every day as menu changes daily. If you want your Asian fix, this is it. - the debarkation process is super smooth. Cons: - getting on the boat is a disaster compared to Royal Carribean's port. Long lines and everyone and their mom was cutting. Barely any staff to help guide passengers at the port before entering the actual terminal. It took almost 2 hours in line to finally board. - the elevators are small so take the stairs. Our room was on deck 4 and we walked to deck 16 every day to get the Lido. It's doable! - lots of people cutting in line all throughout. It's Carnival, y'all. Just expect it. - they confiscated my wife's heating pad (needed for medical reasons) before getting on the boat. They jotted down our room number as if they were gonna get it back somehow but never saw it again. - I love Guy's Burger but only got it once because the line was just too long. They should have made 2 lines. And those people with custom orders - I get it, but it holds up the line. Jubilee launched Jan'24. We are in the Havana section but don't have a patio room which was awesome last time. This room is micro sized & the bathroom is so small only 1 person can stand in it. Which makes it long for 3 of us to get ready. Only 1 Havana room that sleeps 3. I'd make sure to get a room w/ pullout couch vs the bunk that hangs off wall b/c it's nice to have a couple seats in your room instead of just the bed. Bad is the Havana area doesn't have a hot tub (the Vista ship had 2 private hot tubs). There is the little pool by the bar which nobody uses. Don't they notice that the pools are vacant but the tubs are packed like a sardine can w/ 30 kids sitting in swill. And then no adults would dare get in that cesspit. So the Havana should have a hot tub for adults. The ropes course was cool w/ the mini zip line. Putt putt was only 9 holes but super nice since it's still new. The coaster is short & $15 but a nice thought.. No lines of course. The expanded food options are great - so much more than buffet. Shaq's chicken spot is cool & does breakfast too. Guys Pork place has an expanded role w/ dinner & breakfast buffets instead of just the lunch counter. Guys burger bar is always packed. Don't go just before 6 b/c you'll wait 20 mins. Good: We got a free dinner at the El Capitano & Chi-Bang restaurants b/c of inaugural season. The eggplant Parmesan at the El Capitano had no breading and was super greasy in its oven baked crock dish. The short rib lasagna was a slam dunk! The choc chip ice cream was great. Other desserts just ok. ChiBang really good. Build your own taco was awesome & spring rolls / fries rice too. Beware of tofu dish not good! Bad locale: was magic show & some of the comedy shows were so packed 30 mins before start it was comical. Shows should definitely be in the main theater or foyer for way more seating that they commanded. Plus the trivia located by Guys Pig was too packed & noisy w/ TVs & music together you couldn't hear the fun squad. Nice that there's so many eateries that the lines were not bad (Cept burgers). The pizza & deli shops had many tasty choices compared to past cruises. Sit down dinners at the Pacific restaurant was never busy! Good luck finding seats by the pool tho. And lounge chairs are ALL taken w/ towels by 9am - but no people b/c they're inside eating... rude! Staff & entertainers was high end since this ship poached the best from other ships to staff. Only big knock is that there's only a few talented theatre shows w/ the other nights having guests entertaining themselves: Family feud, Deal or no deal, bingo, Name that Tune, How well do you know your kid, Love & Marriage, etc. read more

This is the 3rd of my quest to find the best cruise line. First time cruising with Carnival. Parking is at a premium. Still over a $100 to park 7 days with an offer code. And this wasn't even close to the terminal. We did get there early because of our requested time to board. Had to catch a shuttle after parking. The embarkation process was chaos! Even though had a suite with a priority check in it took about an hour to board. For some silly reason, there was only one security checkpoint open for priority boarding. They finally opened the 2nd checkpoint when it was our turn to get scanned. The ship itself is huge and pretty new. Our suite was ready upon boarding. Our steward Edmund was great. I really looked forward to the towel animal of the day! Space is what I learned we needed for this cruise, and luckily, we got it. Food is plentiful as far as included in your fare. Tried out the lido marketplace buffet, and it was underwhelming. The only great thing was Gelato being offered. Guy's Burger was a charm. I got the plain smash burger with smc and donkey sauce along with the seasoned fries. Shaq's chicken was also included, and the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich was the real deal. You can add Shaq sauce, and I got some, but it wasn't that good. Main dining had a rotating menu and was solid. I enjoyed Beef Wellington, Prime Rib, and Grilled Shrimp and indulged in the signature chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. As of right now you may dine once at Cucina de Capitano for Italian cuisine and you can also dine at the chinese-mexican fusion Chibang! I did try Emerils on our last night food was good but service not so good. We really enjoyed the Old Bay wings, Debris Gravy Roast beef Po Boy and Shrimp oyster Po Boy both were outstanding and to me the perfect size for $7! Beignets hit the spot after dinner! Entertainment was great led by the cruise director Louie. There are plenty of bars to use your drink pkg. Trivia is plentiful and the live music cover bands did a great job. We saw two comedians at the punchlines. Family Feud was fun to watch. Overall the ship is overwhelming and if you mind your personal space this cruise is not for you. Unfortunately ended up getting pretty sick the day after we got home. read more

First and foremost Kyndall Fire the cruise Director was the BEST CRUISE DIRECTOR WE EVER HAD. so going on to this cruise we heard so many bad reviews about how crowded it was, long lines, obnoxious kids, food was horrible, rooms were hot, service was bad and so much more. I couldn't say our experience was THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE, except for one thing and it really wasn't even that bad. The elevators were a bit congested and the only ones that were congested were the ones in the middle of the boat, so you know what we did we walked just a few things down to the aft and had little to no wait!!! Anyways the crowds were proportioned to the boat not even horrible except at the pizza line at 2am lol definitely expected but let me tell you that line hustled like no other!!! So there's that! I didn't find any kids obnoxious or rude, they were literally being kids and having fun and just excited! Hell I was excited!! Brand new ship with so much cool shit to do, umm yes ma'am! Next, food was not horrible, yes some of the food was bland but ya girl came prepared and had her mini spices and hot sauce ready but only had to use it on a few occasions, people you have to remember you're on a cruise with over 6k people they can't exactly spice shit up cause some can't or don't like it. So come prepared like me with them mini spices and spice it up yourself instead of complaining about everything! 2nd rooms were too hot, we packed our mini fans we bought on Amazon and those saved us cause this girl likes her room freezing. Now one of the days my daughters accidentally left the sliding glass door open which automatically shuts the ac off and let me tell you that room was hotter than hell and took FOREVER too cool back down. But again not the end of the world we got it fixed and it was an us issue not a carnival issue. Service was amazing. Our room steward was amazing and always on it. We met so many people from so many different countries that worked on the boat that was so friendly and so humble. No on to the things to do. We rode bolt which is their roller coaster so much fun just wish it was longer but hey we rode that bad boy twice that's how much fun it was. We also ride a few of the water slides those were so cool too! Especially being up so high and seeing the whole ocean from up top! We saw family feud live which was amazing! A few comedy shows which were so funny I almost peed my pants! My favorite show was the rio carnival, the vibrant colors of the costumes was just incredible. There's so much I could go on to say about this ship but I honestly just think you need to go and see and do for yourself. It was worth every penny for me and my family. I'm no stranger to cruising. This was my first time porting out of Galveston. Any complaint that I could have had would have been nitpicking. Parking was easy, traffic was as expected, security was on top of their jobs, movement was continuous. If anything, the passengers were annoying because they either didn't do their due diligence beforehand or were entitled. How do you get upset when items that were listed as prohibited get thrown away or kept for when you return? How do you argue that the dogs are wrong for sniffing out items in your luggage and then security finds said items within your possession and you still argue? I don't care what TikTok or Reddit told you to do to get away with things. If you can't survive a few days without bringing prohibited items - you may need to look within. If you feel you have to replaced the contents of wine or shampoo bottles with liquor because you can't afford the drink package... order individual drinks or cruise when you are able to afford everything you want. Life could be so simple. Stop making it hard. read more

I made a reservation for the 10 o'clock cruise shuttle, yet when I arrived to check in, I was told it had been changed to 11 o'clock due to a "first come, first serve" policy. I had been waiting since 6 a.m. after arriving on a red-eye flight, only to be pushed back to 11 --despite having a confirmed reservation. If shuttle boarding is based on arrival time and not reservations, then what is the point of assigning time slots at all? This was poorly managed, completely misleading, and a terrible first impression before the cruise even starts. read more

I'm gonna run this down best I can. PROS: Sushi making class was fun Last day, Lido deck was great Time with my family priceless CONS: The pool or should I say lack of , their pools are a joke. They're nothing but baby piss ponds. You can barely stand up to your waist and it's. It's so overcrowded you can't even move The food is the worst I've ever put in my mouth! Lines, long lines for pizza, sandwiches, just ridiculous. You go on an excursion you come back and the buffet closed. YOU want to eat something? You have to get in one of those horrendous long lines. The gentleman that works at the Italian restaurant couldn't have been any RUDER if he tried. Hundreds of flies in the buffet. Buffet food is just boring. Same food every day. Well, they switch it up to the same food every other day. NASTY Most of the people were not that pleasant. I would never pay that much money again to get on that cruise that did nothing for me. It's overcrowded and poorly poorly poorly constructed on lido deck so tiny for all those people. I will go on carnival again maybe. But I will never take the jubilee. OVERPRICED NOT WORTH THE MONEY And on one more note: Our room attendant was awesome I hope that they give him a raise. He was super nice. . But for the most part everything went well. Just stay away from Cucina Del Capitano. Horrible service and food that lacks in flavor. Better off eating in the main dining room. Andy the director kept it fun, engaging and organized! The houseband "The Backyard Band" was absolutely incredible from their blend, range and instrumental capabilities! Absolutely Enjoyable from every angle! We loved the drama team! They did an incredible job with every performance! Loved it! A special shout-out to Tammy who was in Pacific dining at our table, she was also on the special restaurant entertainment team and we saw her every morning at breakfast for the Lido Marketplace buffet! WiFi was hit or miss, but the real reason for this review was the stairs. Although new and clean, the last step managed to trip my girlfriend. I don't know who the head "stair-maker-guy" was, but that is unacceptable. It most definitely didn't have anything to do with the preposterous amounts of High Noon's she consumed or the spontaneous need to yeet pizza on the ground while doing her best impression of sliding into home plate at the World Series. I was victim of the ads of a wonderful 7-day cruise to islands off Mexico on one of the largest luxury ships in the world. And the discounted price was too good to be true. Regretfully, it was just that. Let me name just a few of the negative things that happened to me: 1. Right off the bat my trip ran into confusion and Kaos. I booked the parking garage across from the Jubilee. The entrance was within steps of the intersection where all the passengers had to get in with their cars. Not only did the cars have to get in, but the people coming and going had to pass through the same entrance. This caused a traffic conundrum where I had to wait an hour for my turn. My patience started to boil as I saw the worst of Galveston's traffic organization. It could have been routed better. 2. Before I packed for the cruise, I read every word of their rules regarding what I could bring on board. Because they want you to buy their very expensive sodas and alcohol, you are prohibited to bring any. You could; however, carry on one bottle of 750ml wine. I took advantage of that and purchased a $75 bottle of Pinot Gregio. My carry on was a hand-held cooler which I planned to keep ice in while on board. The very rude Gestapo lady took the bottle out, turned it over, and shook it a couple of times. She then threw it under the table and told me I can't take that on board. When questioned, she said there were no bubbles, so it must be alcohol. Having owned a winery, I told her a cheap wine will have CO2, which causes bubbles, but a good wine has no CO2 and no bubbles. She refused to believe me, so I asked for my wine back so I could return it to my car. She refused and told me to move on. This had my blood pressure peeking towards a heart attack. 3. My next stop before boarding was another table where another rude Gestapo lady told me I could not bring my hand-held cooler on board. I asked her why and she said it was too large. The guy next to me had a bag 3-times the size, so I asked her to show me the rule because I never saw anything in their rules. She said those are the rules so you can't take it on board, but I can take it back to the car if I wanted to. That meant going back through Security. It took me an hour to go and return. They made me repeat the whole boarding thing. I was mad enough to turn around and go home and I should have. 4. On board, they gave me a plastic card with my name on it. Instead of cash or a credit card, I was to show it every time I ordered or bought anything. The first time I did I was told the card was invalid and was directed to the Service Desk, which was very far from where I was. The boat must be a mile long and they put the Service Desk all the way to the back. I am 73, bad knees, and a disabled vet. This wore me out for that day. 5. Too Many People: 6237 people were on this ship. It has 17 decks for those people, with 4 sets of elevators throughout. At meal times, forget getting on one because they were all full when the door opened. Stairs were out of the question for a cripple like me, so I had to wait until most mealtimes were finished before I could get on an elevator. 6. Shore Excursions: Because of my disabilities, I only got out at one stop because someone recommended a restaurant inside the town. The food on board tasted like cardboard with salt and pepper on it. By the time I got to a cab, I could hardly walk because the gang walk was almost a half a mile long. The food was the only good thing I could say about my excursion. I had to walk what seemed to be a mile to catch a cab back. The cab dropped me at the very end of the shopping huts near the wharf. I asked him to take me to the end of the gang walk, but he said he was not allowed. I found out why. This was organized to make sure I walked through all the stores to get to the ship. This was just another way to get more of my money. 7. By the fourth day of seven, I was praying for the cruise to be over. I must have walked 30 miles up to then and my hip joints had given up on me. I could no longer walk and stayed in my room the last three days. I had to be taken out in a wheel chair at disembarkation. Summation: I will never take another cruise on a Carnival ship. The owners are greedy and try to strip you of as much additional money as they can once you are trapped on board. Their executives should have to go through pre-boarding to see how greedy they look to passengers. Even bottle water is prohibited to bring aboard and they charge you 3-times what it cost on shore. Beer is $9 and mixed drinks are $15. What harm is it if people bring a few drinks on board? They will use it up in the first day. This was Memorial Week, where they claimed to honor all vets aboard. I sure wasn't honored and someone owes me $75 for a bottle of wine! read more

I would give this 0 stars if I could, unbelievable. I was in a wedding group free of any substances and was excitedly walking to my cruise ship. I was stopped by a young gentleman claiming I was in possession of narcotics... they were wrong and wasted my time, separated me from my wedding group & partner. Carnival should replace their security. read more

This was one of the most disappointing Carnival cruises I have been on. We sailed from September 21-28, 2024 with the newest cruise director. This was our second cruise this year and we were so excited to be on the newest Carnival ship after having a great family cruise on the Celebration out of Miami. The Jubilee is very similar to the Celebration in size and features but the entertainment was terrible all around and some of the service was subpar. First, the entertainment was lacking compared to all the other cruises we have been on. There were no magic shows, no family friendly shows, no dance offs that I know of, very few movies, and all of the comedy shows were before 10 PM except for a comedy teaser they had on 2 days where the comedians did a 15 minute performance each (2 comedians). Why does this matter when they have 2 comedy shows before 10 PM? Because if you have small kids you cannot drop them off for babysitting before 10 PM! Just about nothing is happening after 10 PM! Heck just about nothing interesting is happening before 10 PM either! We spent a lot of time in our room or lounging. Even the deck music cut off at some point. While the majority of the service was excellent, there were a few annoying things including drink and ice cream machines either being broken or shut down for service forcing you to have to search for the next available machine only to find out that machine was broken too. And forget about doing the formal dinner or eating at Cucina del Capitano, the service was so slow (30 minute wait for your food to arrive), we just ended up leaving before some parts of our meal arrived. We had to check into the restaurant and arrive when the table was ready so it's not like they didn't know we were coming or they were just swamped with people. The only 5 star experience on this ship was the cabin attendants and Camp Ocean. Also, there were security guards on just about every entertainment floor, waiting for somebody to get rowdy I guess. The only reason to get rowdy on this ship would be out of boredom. I'm not sure what happened but I really expected more and better out of the newest ship. To end our trip they decided to blast obnoxious dance music throughout the ship and cabins on the morning of debarkation starting at 7:55 AM. read more

Kyndall Fire Magyar is the life of the party and best cruise director ever, the performances, the food, the supportive staff and shows all make this cruise worth while as does the club house and teen lounge where I met the love of my life on this boat, and my forever soulmate, Z.L, the Cruise was a magical one in a lifetime experience for me and a whimsical week long exploration where for a moment I got to have a taste of paradise, unbridled bliss, and joyful memories that will and have the fun I've always dreamed of, even if the journey itself didn't last, there are things that came out of it that I never could've expected would. I'm forever grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the cruise as a passenger on the boat. It delivered me and him together and for that, no matter what happens in the future I'll always be thankful. Even if the tides turn south, though I hope they never do. I loved this experience, and if I could relive that perfect week all over again I would. I'd have it last an eternity and be lost in the nostalgia. read more

Overall good experience. Food, service, excursions etc. Beautiful new ship. Jan27-feb3. Only staff issue I had was the rude condescending girl at one of the crafts mornings in the limelight room. Her name was Gabby. I never saw her after the one day, then when I left, I saw her ushering at disembarkment and the sight of her made me have my final moment of a nice trip end a little sour. Amazing how I remember her name 2 months after the trip. This is my first and only review I've put anywhere of this cruise. Almost tempted to mention her name on the Fb page to warn people to avoid her. Don't let her cute appearance fool u, she's a total ******. read more
