But you will never go hungry here. This was an Eastern Caribbean cruise with 4 stops. They offered a variety of excursions. We are seasoned travelers in the Caribbean so we find out own thing. The islands are tourist oriented so in most cases you can navigate yourself without going on an expensive ship paid excursion. Our room was an accessible accommodation with bars in the shower and probably a little bigger than the others. We were very comfortable. We had a basic internet package snd classic drink package. It worked and very satisfied. This was a lovely vacation with so many options available to just relax or run snd have fun from morning until the wee hours of the morning.

We did a 7-night Western Caribbean cruise (Miami, Key West, Costa Maya, Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Miami). STATEROOM: We stayed in stateroom 1585 which is on deck 11 in the Aqua Class (priority boarding, use of Persian Garden spa, exclusive dining in Blu Restaurant and a few other perks). A lack of charging ports is a big downfall on this ship. Only three are available (two at the desk, one in the bathroom). We were greeted with a non-emptied trash bin and food wrapped in a napkin in the mini refrigerator. The a/c also wasn't strong but was fairly comfortable. Bottles of water were replenished daily. BATHROOM: Surprisingly the shower's water pressure & drainage were good. Hot water was instant and plentiful. The shower system also sported multiple body jets. Amenities were very perfume-y. Oddly the basin's cold water was always warm. AMENITIES: Unlimited WiFi is now available (for a fee) and worked well. There was a $35 laundry day special. The daily canopies (appetizers delivered to room) were mostly sad and uninspiring. DINING: Blu Restaurant had a nice rotating & standard menu. Murano's food was very good. Silk Harvest was okay, really a P.F. Chang's in disguise. Sushi On 5 had fairly good ramen and sushi. Oceanview Cafe had a nice selection of item from morning till late night. Not once did we eat in the dining room. SHOWS: I'm not a fan of cheesy wannabe Broadway productions, sorry. But Bingo and pool deck parties were fun! SERVICE: Frideny at Guest Relations helped us with a beverage package error. Instead of having the premium, we were showing the lower classic. We (and many others) headed back down to Guest Relations because one of our room keys weren't working. Linda (hostess in Blu Restaurant) was a gem and provided exceptional service each and every time we interacted with her. She is the utmost definition of warmth, professional and friendliness. We really hope to see her again on future sails! Joahanna (server in Blu Restaurant) also took great care of us. She has the sweetest personality and was very professional. All the workers at the Martini Bar were the best, especially Munian! Innovative cocktails and great performances. Taz at the Sunset Bar was the only bartender who greeted AND thanked me. Simple professionalism goes a long way. The rest of the bartenders need to take control of their lines waiting as on many instances they'd assist people who approached the bar after others were waiting to be helped. SHORE EXCURSIONS: Key West - We booked the Key West Old Town Trolley ($25) which was a hop on/off tour then walked around town. Costa Maya - We booked the Costa Maya Triple Play ($109). Note that the "cenote swim" wasn't a swim at all. You enter the cenote, hang on to a rope while your chest down is in dirty-looking water and exit the cenote about 30 yards later. If it's too windy, you may not be able to paddle board. This port was the most disappointing as there was really nothing to see on land sans for a fake Disney-like village full of junk to buy. Cozumel - We booked the Chichen Itza Maya Ruins ($129). Boat ride for 45 minutes then almost 2 hour ride to the site, with just under 2 hours at the site. We and many others got back late to the ship that departs at 4:30pm due to the Cozumel port charging a high mooring fee to the cruise line. (We wanted Chichen Itza by Air but no one else signed up). Grand Cayman - We booked the Catamaran Sail & Stingray City ($79) after the Deluxe version ($59) got canceled due to a mechanical issue with the catamaran. Instead of matching the price, they gave a measly 10% off which was $7 and change, big whoops. Anyway, 15 minute van ride to the port, 25 minute catamaran ride to the site, 40 minutes feeding and interacting with the stingrays, and 30 minute sail back. Lots of free time on land after. TIPS: Book early. Get the beverage package especially if you like to drink booze. Wash your hands often as I witnessed a few passengers walking right out of the bathroom without washing. Gross! OVERALL: Good service and cuisine; the main reasons why we book with Celebrity.

The restaurants that were unique to this ship compared to the last one I was on were the " Chi-Bang", Cucina del Capitano, Teppanyaki and the steakhouse. I also really enjoyed the pizza from the " pizzeria del capitano" as it was very thin and had fresh ingredients! We did eat at the " cucina del capitano" one night for free, but it wasn't anything special, so I wouldn't go again for $8 per person. The rest of the cruise food was the average meals that you get on all ships--- a bit on the heavier side and tough on my digestive system, but it was nice to have the opportunity to skip the seated dinners to eat a quick salad at the buffet or have other lighter meal. In regards to the layout of this ship, I felt that it was a bit confusing and I definitely missed having the central atrium that was present in all other ships. However, we were fortunate enough to have a room in floor 16 so we could be close to the Lido and serenity. Speaking of serenity--- on previous ships, this was on the back of the boat and thus made for a less windy experience, whereas this time it was located on the front of the boat and you were lucky if your food or towels didn't blow away. My other critique of Celebration is that many attractions required an additional cost--- if you're going to advertise a " roller coaster at sea!" , then you shouldn't be charging guests an additional $15 per person to ride it ONCE. Our local 6 Flags has better deals than that. Furthermore due to the high winds and chilly temperatures during our cruise, the " Bolt" rollercoaster was closed more often than it was open. As a result, when we tried to book a ride, they were all sold out. The ropes course and the water slides are free, thankfully, but one of the slides was broken during our trip, so that was a bummer. In regards to the shows and entertainment on this ship, Carnival Celebration blew all the other ships out of the water ( pun intended). Color my world, We Are One, Noche Cubana, and the circus show were absolutely AMAZING. I felt like I was watching some " cirque du Soleil" shows on the cruise ship, and was very impressed! As usual, their Punchliner comedy shows were also hilarious, and they were always a great end to the evening. Overall, due to the greediness of the owners of the ship in making us pay extra for random unnecessary things, I give the ship a 4/5. That rating also includes the fact that, despite advertising " Celebration Key" as a Carnival owner island, all the activities one would want to partake in cost money. I wish cruise ships would stop getting greedy and instead focus on keeping their customers happy by avoiding extra unnecessary charges.

The best perk for booking a suite was the nice size of the room. Unlike Royal Caribbean there was no suite lounge or daily reception. No concierge for booking spa treatments, fine dining etc! There was no coffee available in the suite. There were no treats left by the room attendant. There is reserved seating at all events on Royal not Carnival. Carnival only allowed one meal on their private island Celebration Key (after that you have to pay) Royal provides an endless buffet. There was no private area for suite guests like on Royal Caribbean's private island. The thing I disliked the most about this Carnival cruise was the presence of so much security they were three or four deep everywhere on the ship. In the Limelight club the DJ stopped the music, the lights were turned on and security addressed cruisers with drinks in there hands and no shoes on the dance floor (this happened 4 times while we were there during which the DJ scorned the crowd) It was so tacky. Didn't go back there again. We ate most nights at the Lido Marketplace ( buffet). I like having choices and the food was generally good with the exception of the chicken three times we found it undercooked. The ChiBang restaurant was underwhelming. The appetizers were good the dinner entrees so much. Guys burger joint was delicious just a little salty. The coffee offered in the Lido Marketplace was weak. We had to buy coffee everyday to get a decent cup. The cruise staff were really friendly. The New Year's Eve event was okay. (I like the two Royal Caribbean new years cruises better.) We skipped visiting St. John and Amber Cove ports opting to enjoy the quiet boat instead. Disembarking the boat was quick and easy because we got to the staging area very early and carried our own luggage. Though the walk pushing my luggage back to the car was no fun.

My kids and I took the train from Miami Airport to Fort Lauderdale Airport. It cost us $5/ person and was very easy. You have to take a tram at MIA to the Transportation Center to catch the train. It is very easy to find. You just have to follow the signs. I purchased my tickets on the platform via a machine. We had our luggage with us, too, and there were no issues. The train was clean and was pretty wide open. It was also right on schedule, and they had armed security on the train. People bring their bikes on the train and secure them on racks. Once we got to the Fort Lauderdale Airport Station, we had to take a bus to the actual airport. The bus was packed, but it was only like a 5-minute ride. My little and I really enjoyed the ride. As I mentioned, it was a very easy and relaxing ride. It was a very easy and relaxing ride. I will be using this train a lot to get between FLL and MIA from now on.

However, the shops and covered spaces around the terminal were crowded with people trying to stay dry. The area where everyone meets for shore excursions was chaotic. We were told to go to a specific numbered line to meet our tour group. It ended up changing numbers along the way. It was totally unorganized. Our tour was late arriving to Roatán Island Brewing Company due to a car accident near the port. That one road is the main artery for the entire island. The detour took us through some very narrow streets through Coxen Hole (the capital city). The best I can say is that we really did get to see the real Roatán. There were lots of sights pointed out to us along the way. A 3 hour tour ended up being a 5.5 hour tour that we didn't plan for. We finally made it to the brewery. All went well until our guide lost track of his tour participants. He even left some people behind. Thankfully, they ended up catching up with us at the Carambola Chocolate Factory. The chocolate stop was a surprise to us. It wasn't in our tour description. I did a quick walk through, and tried some chocolate along the way. I ended up buying a $10 chocolate bar. It was good, but unfortunately I can't tell you much about this brand. It was a self-guided tour, and we didn't stick around long enough to see it all. It would have been nice if the chocolate factory had been planned better and built into the tour. It felt more like we were brought there last minute to buy chocolate so that the guide could get a commission. I know... a trip is what you make of it. The brewery in Palmetto Bay was a cool experience. That was the positive part of our day in Roatán. I'll end it on that note.

The people are friendly. The place is beautiful. We had a blast here! We visited the following places: 1) Arch's Iguana and Marine Park. Cool place... get to see lots of Iguanas along with other animals like parrots. They also have a nice marine section. 2) Stone Castle Cameo Factory Institute. Jaw-dropping art studio. They make art out of sea shells. The skill to do the works of art they make is astounding! Must see! 3) Rusty Fish. This shop makes items and art out of recycled items, its neat. 4) Roatan Chocolate Factory... guys its a chocolate factory... need i say more? 5) Roatan Rum Factory... rum factory! Yeah! Great rum... also delicious rum cakes! Place has a great view of Roatan as well 6) Luna Beach... absolutely beautiful beach!!!! Wonderful! 7) Luna Bean... great coffee shop! Amazing service! Friendly staff! I wish I could have stayed here a couple of days at least! I loved it and so did the family!!!!

We booked a balcony room and ended up loving it. We spent a lot of time on their and saw so many whales! The room was spacious, comfortable, and made to clean twice a day everyday. Our stateroom attendant was on top of it. Oh, if you do not book a balcony room they have virtual balcony rooms. Quantum of the Sea is a smart ship that allows about 5000 people on it. There are 16 decks. Although it is not biggest of Royal Caribbean it is not shy from it. I've been on Oasis and it's like Oasis class ships but without park central. It was perfect for an Alaskan cruise. We played laser tag, did bumper cars, and indoor sky diving by iFly. We even did their North Star which is the tallest viewing deck on a cruise ship that is 360 degrees. It moves up to 300 feet above sea level. They also had their popular rock climbing wall and Flow Rider that they had on most of the RC ships. I like that most activities can be made via the app so we knew which days we were doing what. We had late dining and that was perfect. I like they posted the menu on the app so we can plan out what we were eating. Our servers were awesome and remember our needs and wants. Some of the food was a little bland but some were surprisingly good and better than expected. The windjammer's food was good on some days. They had pork belly there one day that was to die for. We did one specialty dining which was Wonderland. It was the best experience and a foodies dream. The only issues we had was internet but it was expected for an Alaskan cruise. Also, we had an issue with on-board credit but it was taken care of. And their organization for bumper cars when the lines got long was a little chaotic. The itinerary we went on took us to 4 different stops. Getting in and out and easy and quick. Checking into the ship on the first day in Seattle was also very easy. Overall it was a great experience and would definitely like to be back on it.

Easy check in and check out. Good communication and response. Apartment is well furnished and supplied. Furnishings are not high end, but very nice all the same. Highly recommended.

On the second night, the fire alarm went off twice, once around 3:30am and again around 5am. I slept like dogshit and it has ruined my trip.
