We were taking a cruise out of Miami and needed a hotel nearby where we could stay for a night before our departure without having to rent a car. After doing some research, we chose this hotel, and it turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. The location was one of the biggest highlights. It's within easy walking distance of Bayside, which gave us plenty to do while waiting for our cruise. There are lots of restaurants, shops, and waterfront areas to explore, making it a great place to spend a relaxing afternoon and evening before heading to the port. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and located in a nice area that felt safe and convenient. Our room was a good size with plenty of space for our luggage and everything we needed for a short stay. The staff was friendly and the check-in process was quick and easy, which made our arrival stress-free. The hotel does offer a shuttle service to the cruise port, but at $15 per person, we found that taking an Uber was actually the more affordable option for our group. The ride to the port was quick and hassle-free. Overall, we were very happy with our stay. The combination of the convenient location, comfortable accommodations, and easy access to the cruise port made this hotel a great choice. My wife and I stayed here for one night & we were charged an additional $500+ for smoking fee and we don't smoke! lol We tried to call the front desk to let them know of the additional charge but was put on hold and they just hung up on us. We stayed here one night and they charged us an additional $535 for "smoking" and we don't smoke. Now they won't answer their phone, so we are having to dispute the charges with booking.com. We stayed at the VYE hotel last night. I would not reccomend this to folks who want an upscale experience. 1. The elevators; apparently are still down, only 1 works for a 16 floor hotel. We hooded it down the back staircase rather than wait the long time to grab the elevator. 2. My king room was beat up. The bed was nice, but the ac, if shifted from 65° makes an awful racket. At 65 it blows all night long and its cold. This is a 2 edged sword: great when you come in, terribly cold to sleep in. Im glad i brought my own covers. The shampoo, conditoner and body wash are ALL soap. No conditioner at all. Just soap, and the shampoo dispenser shows 3 different products or a break down in one. Gross. There was a questionable stain on the drapes, the door really leaks light, the coffee maker had no needles to puncture the kpod. The staff was mostly cool, though i watched the concierge go off on a couple this morning. Not at all a professional reaction to them not having a receipt, when she wasnt the one who had helped them out. No i would not stay here again. read more

This was our second (and third) stay at Hotel YVE Miami and it was a terrible experience. I am absolutely dismayed by how this was handled from start to finish. At the beginning of our trip, we were unable to check in because the hotel's system was down. There was no prior communication, and we were sent to another hotel with no reimbursement for the Uber. The voucher provided did not even cover an equivalent king size room, which added unnecessary stress to the start of our trip. After returning from our cruise, we stayed at YVE again and the issues continued. The room was not clean. There was hair from previous guests on the bathroom counter, no fitted sheet on the bed, no bed cover, and the AC unit was extremely loud. The TV was lopsided, the table tops were severely worn, and the hotel door had to be forced open and closed because the hinges were clearly misaligned. We could constantly hear other guests and their TVs. What made this worse was the lack of management. There never seemed to be a manager on duty after hours, which left staff unable to resolve issues. I was told a manager would contact me and that never happened. I also called multiple times leading up to the trip and no one ever answered the phone. We chose this hotel solely because of its proximity to the Miami cruise port, but it ended up being a major headache during what should have been a time of rest. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had, and I will never stay here again. I would not recommend this to anyone looking for a high-end or restful stay. read more

The elevator situation is a complete nightmare!!!! When booking this room I read about the elevator situation. I thought surely it will be resolved when we arrive 3 months later. NOPE!!!! I am in line right now.....waiting. 15-20 just to get up and down. Only one small elevator and it is their service elevator also. It also stops at random floors for no reason!Employees are very nice. pent our second stay here this past week. Room was tiny... was lied to by staff and told we had free breakfast the next morning starting at 8am. Went and ate and despite mentioning the free breakfast to staff we still Recieved a bill. Waiter checked with front desk and said we didn't have free. I wouldn't have ate there if I had known . A text to their text number was ignored. Only 1 functional elevator. Rooms literally take 10 mins to get hot water to room and another 10 mins to change temps during shower. Great location -- right across from Bayside and directly at the cruise terminal, which makes it very convenient. However, it's a bit far from the beach. The hotel itself could use some updates. The bathroom is small, and when you turn on the light, it sounds like an airplane taking off. There was only one small trash can in the room, and I had to request washcloths and towels. The staff were nice and helpful. The hotel advertises laundry, but it's a pricey third-party service. There's no pool, and valet parking is also expensive. Beware if you stay in YVE Miami. Check your credit card statements carefully if you stay at the YVE Hotel Miami. When I physically checked out at the front desk, the agent explicitly told me "everything is good" and cleared my account. They never provided a paper receipt or emailed a final invoice. Days later, an unauthorized $535 for a smoking violation showed up on my card out of nowhere. The funny thing is I don't smoke or vape. A report from a Rest sensor was emailed to me months later after I posted on several social accounts with a violation time of 8:40-10:10am. The thing is I was already checked out and left the hotel when this supposed violation occurred. This did not matter to the hotel. They still will not remove the charge. This seems to be a pattern for the hotel as I have found 14 others the past few months with the same story. They will post a generic response to reviews stating they will look into it and provide an email. Well the only help I received was an email from Claudia stating I cannot talk to management and the fees will not be removed, even though I was not physically at the hotel when the supposed violation occurred. Just Beware this has happened to multiple people at YVE. Right from Google: Numerous guests report being hit with unexpected, unauthorized "smoking fees" ranging from $500 to $535 at YVE Hotel Miami after checkout. Travelers state they are non-smokers, were often out of the room when the alleged infraction took place, and management frequently refuses to provide physical proof or review key card logs. read more

After reading some of the recent reviews I was a tad nervous but our experience has been the complete opposite, from the second we walked in it was nothing but warm hellos. Franny at the reception desk was incredibly sweet, and personable and made checking in an absolute breeze. She was the breath of fresh air after so long of traveling. Rooms are on the smaller side but has everything you need and the bathroom was way bigger than i expected. I'd definitely stay here again before our next cruise. read more

Incredible bargain from AirBnB with a terrific location and very good service. Beautiful room with killer view of skyline and Biscayne Bay. 5 star ambience: I have to admit, the bad ratings on Yelp made no sense to me. The lobby was beautiful and so was the room. The location doesn't get more central, diagonally across the street from Bayside Marketplace and the cruise ship port. The lobby was sparkling and modern inside. The room was pristinely white on white. The smallish window looked out on a sweeping view of Biscayne Bay, from the NBA arena to cruise ships. 5 star service: a modest resort fee covered almost all amenities including 2 bottles of water, gym, etc. Front desk and other staffers were polite and efficient. We chose this hotel because my stepson was flying in from another state for a cruise out of Miami so we wanted to stay in the same hotel. They do have valet parking but I believe it's $55. It's pretty centrally located, but I didn't travel out much because we got in late and then had to leave early The morning of the cruise concierge has no knowledge of anything and is not very helpful. She would rather play on her phone than help you. I asked her if she knew an approximate distance or location of the ports. She said she didn't know. I asked her if she knew how long the valet usually takes to pull around the vehicle. She said she didn't know. The ports are less than 3 miles away and I'm pretty sure over 50% of the people who stay there go to the ports because they have a shuttle that they offer at eight dollars per person and that shuttle advertisement is right on her desk As you could see from the mirror in the room, that has a bunch of rust all around it and it would be a cheap upgrade that would make a lot of difference. There's also no washcloths in the room. Basically, if you need a place to stay for a nice it is fine, but I wouldn't plan a vacation to stay here more than one night They have two elevators for a 17 story hotel. The staff, housekeeping, and everybody else uses the same two elevators should be prepared to wait a half hour for an elevator. read more

The rooms are disgusting, they stink and are not cleaned good at all, we found some underwear behind the bathroom seat, we requested a blow dryer because there wasn't one in our room and when we finally got it it was sticky and full of hair ! This hotel experience was horrible. We got in late that night , showered and went to bed. The next morning we discovered there was only a flat sheet on the bed NOT fitted and there was blood and what looked like dried urine on the blanket. The start of this experience was not good and it continued throughout the stay. The man at the front counter was extremely rude from the beginning, (I think his name was Dematri). It started with me asking if I had received the upgrade I had been offered by email, and he blew me off responding as if he had no idea what I was talking about, and wouldn't even look at the email I had received directly from this company. Then he informed us at check in that they could not issue us a key, that there was an issue with the system. I don't even know if this is legal, but he assured us that security was taking people to their rooms using a master key. We checked in, as we really didn't know the area and wasn't sure where else to go. We were assured there would not be long wait times for room access at this time. We went to our room, dropped off our luggage and when to dinner. Upon our return, the security guard had just gone up in an elevator to take a group of people to their rooms. While we were waiting, 6 airline crew walked in, got checked and given key cards. I asked if the system was working so we could get one and was told it still wasn't working. We continued waiting, and the airline crew joined us. After about 10-12 minutes of waiting, the security guard returned. As I entered the elevator, I was asked to leave so the airline crew could be taken to their rooms first. Now mind you they had their own key cards and did not need his assistance in gaining access to their rooms. They had arrived after us, had key cards and were still given priority. I was mad and commented to my husband how rude that had been. The manager (an oriental woman) made a snarky comment about why I was upset. I explained the issue, and she seemed unbothered and offered no apology. We waited for 20 minutes +/- before we were taken to our room. When we got back to our room, my husband went to take a shower. When he opened the bar of soap on the counter. It had hair on it and other debris. There were no wash cloths or hand towels. The room wasn't really clean, small pieces of trash on the floor. The only thing this place has going for it is the location to the pier and cruise ports. I highly recommend you avoid this hotel at all costs. They offer have no parking available for guests unless you pay $55 for valet parking, or pay $40+ at the garage that charges that fee every time you enter the parking garage. We will not be returning or recommending this hotel to anyone, and furthermore I will be leaving reviews on all possibly platforms. Only 2 elevators for over 14 floors, and one was working this morning. Waited over 5 minutes to have the doors open on a full elevator with no room and ended up taking the stairs. I do have to say that after our return from breakfast the manager on duty (a gentleman, I didn't get his name), took us right up to our room, and actually took the stairs back down himself so that other guests could use the elevator. We ended up here through a Priceline Express Deal. Yve is walking distance to Bayside and the Kaseya Center, where we saw Madonna on a Friday night. Parking is $55 for overnight parking which is the same rate at Kaseya for special events. We avoided driving through the Miami mayhem and came here via Tri-Rail and the Downtown Miami Link. The hotel is just a block from the MetroMover which gets you anywhere downtown. The 2 elevators during daytime can be slow and everything (elevators, lobby restrooms, front door) requires a room key -- rightfully so to avoid wanderers in a busy downtown spot. Altogether, it was nice to be able to walk back to the hotel after Madonna at 1am. Biscayne Tavern attached to the lobby serves up some delicious Cuban sandwiches. read more

Absolute disgusting customer service (picture included) They ruined my favorite leather jacket I bought in Italy 8 years ago. I recently stayed here and checked in my bags before our check in. The hotel put an adhesive sticker with a number on my leather jacket. Of course, you're not supposed to put stickers on leather! I am surprised how careless they were. When I brought it up, they said they had to review the security tapes to make sure I didn't put the sticker on my jacket myself. (Why would I do that?) They later confirmed that they put the sticker on the jacket and the video confirms it. They told me they would bring it up to the manager and resolve the issue. I sent an email to the manager. Of course, we checked out without being able to speak to the manager and after multiple emails, multiple days, never heard back again. I was extremely patient with them, but have not heard from them since I left. Update (12/21): despite what the manager said below, I never heard from them. This place is a bait and switch. The room looked nothing like it did online. The room was disgusting, small and dirty. There wasn't even room for our 2 suitcases in the room. The only way to open both sides was to put the luggage on the bed. The ONLY updated thing in this room was the shower floor. The toilet paper was sitting on the toilet - no holder. Soap just left on the sink as there wasn't even room for a soap dish. Feels more like a Hostel. I couldn't sleep, I was just so grossed out. Couldn't leave as everywhere was booked. The restaurant was good - they serve huge portions - my husband who can eat, couldn't finish the Cuban / he was bummed because he said it was delicious. So that was a positive. I had the black bean burger - I wouldn't recommend it. The fries are delish and you get ALOT! Some of the employees do not speak English - our waiter couldn't tell us the bread options so I opted to not have the bun and another waiter doesn't understand when we asked the name of the restaurant. I'm Italian from NY so l, it's not hard for me to get through accents but it might be hard for others so it's the only reason why I mention it. read more

First, only one of the two elevators in the entire hotel (think it is 16 floors?) was working. . . everyone waited and waited and waited - VERY annoying and frustrating for everyone. The rooms needed definite repair and attention - bathroom doorknob was ready to fall off. There were literally ONLY 2 towels - no hand towels, no wash clothes. There were no kleenex/tissues in the room. We could feel every spring in the bed and trust me when i said it was NOT comfortable. Embarking on a cruise the next day, it was recommended we stay at YVE Hotel Miami. The front desk staff were friendly and gave us a welcome drink ticket upon arrival. As we ventured to our room, you could tell there had been little to no upkeep - just an old hotel. This is fine but photos are a bit deceiving. The rooms were very blah and small. A positive was that we only needed to stay one night and they had a restaurant on the first floor that served food (not included or discounted). If you need valet, they do offer for a fee. The TV remote looked like it was from the 90's, but it worked. Stained floors and furniture including a large mystery brown stain on the box spring. The bathroom was very small - you couldn't help but touch the toilet when brushing your teeth at the sink. No counter space. My experience was far below the standard I expected, and I am requesting a full refund for my stay. Upon checking into my first room, I immediately noticed that the floors were visibly dirty and had not been vacuumed. The bed sheets had noticeable stains, and the bathroom soap dispenser was broken and detached from the wall. I reported these issues to your staff, and while they did move me to another room, the second room was smaller, lacked a refrigerator, offered very limited closet space, and still had dirty floors. When I raised my concerns, the front desk staff told me I could either wait until the morning for a room change or leave altogether -- which was unreasonable since I am not from Miami and did not know my way around the city. Later, housekeeping was sent up to "inspect" the room, even though I had been told they were unavailable earlier for the first room. I specifically asked for the tub to be cleaned and the room vacuumed, and they said they would return to do so, but no one ever came back. The poor air quality and lack of cleanliness triggered my asthma, forcing me to use my inhaler. The overall condition of the rooms was unacceptable and unsanitary, especially given that I raised these concerns multiple times and received no real resolution. read more

We stayed here on April 13, 2025. This was the worst hotel room I have stayed in to date and the room was not cheap. The headboards on the bed were extremely worn down and dirty and there were stains on the walls above the bed. The conditioner, shampoo and shower gel looked like they haven't been changed in months. The most abhorrent and horrific customer service. The staff behaves as though they are doing you a favor for even speaking to you. My husband and I waited for 45 minutes at the valet and tried to speak to the attendant 4 times to get her to take our keys. She waved us off and continued to talk on her phone. On the fifth attempt of us trying to give her the keys she responded "Oh, wow" and walked away I called the front desk exasperated to get some support and was told "well it sounds like they are busy and you have to wait" My response was "do you find it reasonable I have waited 45 minutes for the valet to take my keys" His response was "i have other guests. You can come inside and get the manager's number if you want to complain" and proceeded to laugh and hang up. We are switching hotels halfway through our trip because this is absolutely horrific. $22 DAILY fee for wifi, coffee and 2 bottles of water. We didnt use the coffee, didnt drink the water. Maybe used the room for a whole 7 hours between getting ready for a concert and the 5 houts we slept before heading home. Still charged the $22 fee.
