I let the front desk know. But it just seemed like too Many things were wrong here. There was mismatched paint, and broken pieces of furniture. Nothing that alone would ruin my stay but it was all of them all together that left me with a sour taste and feeling uncomfortable. The door had a wide crack where you could see outside and it was loud and cold air was coming right through. I was honestly a little worried about our car outside over night and that made me uneasy. Not the best area. Skip this town and this hotel.

I was lying in bed after 10:00 p.m. listening to hotel guests talking and the floor bumps and rumble and the squealing of kids with loud adult voices. During the night, facing the convenience store / gas station I was awakened at 3:15 a.m. by the bang of a dumpster being slammed down, then the angry beeping of the truck. The area has a passenger train line close enough that you can hear the blast of the train horns. In the next hour or so, two passenger trains are blowing their horns at a crossing. It took me a couple of hours to get back to sleep. The hotel staff does slide the bill under your door (or tries to) and that is an annoyance that we can live without if we have email / text message options. The breakfast was good and standard stuff, egg and cheese omelet, biscuits and gravy, pancake machine and sweet pastries. Bring your earplugs and don't expect a great night's sleep.

My only semi complaint was that the walls are paper thin. I was woken up multiple times with people closing their room doors or making noise in the hallway all throughout the night. I was in town for a wedding at Bray's Island and it was a short 10 minute drive away. Great value for the price!

Unacceptable Safety Breach & Shocking Management Failures…read more I returned to my room at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, July 15th to find housekeeping had left my door propped wide open to the public. I immediately went to the front desk where two receptionists were working. One receptionist located an available, clean room and actively began processing my safety transfer, while the other receptionist stepped away to call General Manager Faith Allen, who was off-property. Faith Allen explicitly ordered the staff to halt the transfer and withhold the clean room to prioritize guests who hadn't even checked in yet, forcing me out into the night for my own safety. When I noticed they wrongfully billed me for an extra night, I called Faith Allen on Thursday. Instead of showing accountability, she was aggressive and dismissive. She told me I checked out after 4:00 PM, ordered me to "live with it," and insisted I would absolutely be charged--completely ignoring that her own staff's severe safety breach forced my emergency departure. Her total lack of integrity and hostile attitude are a disgrace to the Hilton brand. When I tried to escalate her actions, I discovered the ownership group, Fidelity Management Group, has completely disconnected phone lines and ignores all emails. They are running a reckless franchise with zero local oversight. Ultimately, the Hilton Corporate Executive Office had to step in, override this local property, force a full night's refund, and issue major compensation for these severe violations. Avoid this location. Faith Allen is a liability, and Fidelity Management Group is completely asleep at the wheel.

Upon arrival you are greeted and shown around the historic Inn. The history and background of this wonderful historic property is explained to guests in detail so you get a good sense of where you will rest your head tonight. An afternoon reception begins at 5:00 pm and the "bayside breakfast" deliciously starts your day. Bikes are available to tour around the quaint and historic town of Beaufort.
