Our waiter Joe was very attentive and friendly. He even took the time to give us great restaurant and travels tips for Toronto, which was our next destination. Our first visit here and we were impressed with the menu. The signature dish being carpaccio, we tried the swordfish. Drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with salt and capers, the thinly sliced and nicely presented dish started our meal off well. The wine list was pretty good, although the markup was a little higher than expected. We chose a local wine for $33, that's readily available for retail at $14. Main course of gnocchi came in a red pepper cream sauce. Tender and light. The other entree was a chicken dish, stuffed with arugula and goat cheese, served over veggies and smashed potatoes. The chicken was juicy and well browned, although the stuffing was absent. No sign of goat cheese or arugula. We didn't have dessert. Service was prompt and courteous. Overall, better than average for the area, but not five star. read more

Could not get a table booked in any of the fancy places in the Fallsview area at short notice and found Carpaccio on google. It was a great find! Really excellent food, great and friendly service, nice ambiance, reasonable prices. The Sonello Salad, the antipasti as well as the beef carpaccio were mouthwatering. Excellent restaurant. We were looking for a restaurant with good food, reasonable prices and away from the tourist trap. Our concierge recommended this place and we were not disappointed. The veal, carpaccio, and chicken parm were delicious. We ended the night with fried bread pudding which was more than enough for two and worth the calories. Our waitress, Easton, was a delight. Enjoyed this non-tourist restaurant. They don't charge the dreaded tourist tax which is great! Service is okay. Not great. Food good. Really loves the gnocchi. Our hotel recommended we try Carpaccio. The food was average. Bread was not real fresh. Service was good. Better than the chain places.

We are/were regulars at this restaurant. Last week when we visited it was a slow evening so we expected stellar service. Not so, the waitress seemed preoccupied, the service was slow, the bread was stale. Our table each had a different entree and no one was really impressed. For the price range the food should be wonderful it was average at best. I'm really disappointed in the level of service and food quality of late. I was disappointed after one visit but thought maybe the entire restaurant was just having an off day. My last visit convinced me that this is the new norm. We had a group of 10 6 adults 4 kids. They let us sit the kids at their own table and the staff was playing Pokemon go with them. Our waiter was super. He seriously went beyond the normal to make our dinner enjoyable and fun. The food was excellent. We mostly had fettuccine and gnocchi which was excellent. The meatball appetizer was delicious. We went in August of 2013 and went back last night for dinner and I can easily say probably the best braised beef gnocchi and caesar salad I've ever had. This place is truly a diamond in the rough and we have lived here for our entire lives and we were foolish.to have never come prior. This restaurant was great and I highly recommend it. While I really enjoyed my food, it wasn't quite 5-star worthy (thus the 4 stars), but I wouldn't hesitate to go back here. I also thought the restaurant itself had a great atmosphere. Most importantly for this review, is how amazing the staff were. I came to this restaurant because of the great reviews, but I did not plan ahead and as a result, showed up about 10 minutes to closing not realizing the time. My husband and I spent a long weekend in Niagra Falls, ate at many places and this was our very favorite place. They had indoor and outdoor seating. The atmosphere was clean, comfortable and the dress was I would say "smart casual " my husband wore shorts with a collared shirt and fit in fine. We did not have an appetizer for fear of getting too full. I had the Caesar salad and my husband had mixed greens. Both were delicious. The Caesar was just right , not too strong. Dishes are made to order so it took a little time but we didn't mind, well worth the wait...plus we had a delicious cocktail and bread with oils . He had chicken parmigiana and loved it while I had veal piccata. My piccata was so tender I could cut it with my fork and piccata sauce was delicious as well. Although desserts were calling us we were comfortably full. We made friends with our waitstaff, especially Roseanne, she was very nice, very accommodating and sooo personable! If/when we come back to Niagra...this will be most definitely be our spot!!! read more

I went to Carpaccio's for a class assignment with three of my class mates on November 4th. We found out they had a 'Date Night' promotion where you could get 4 courses, and a bottle of wine for 2 people for $60, so $30/person. We did make a reservation because we weren't sure how busy it would be that night. I was very pleased with the décor, servers, and most definitely the food! The service was pretty good, and our server was really nice and polite to us, but took a while to check up on our table throughout the night. My fiancé and I were looking for a decent Italian place while staying in Niagara and came across this gem. Fabulous atmosphere, delicious food, and the price was what you'd expect for standard linen tablecloth service (more than a diner, but still very affordable). It was so good we came back the next night (unusual for me- I like to explore) and repeated the same great experience. This place is completely worth it. It is a little bit out of the hustle and bustle of the area which is nice, because it wasn't too busy for a Saturday night. I ordered a pizza and thought it was pretty decent after the first bite. The waitress came over to see how we were and said that she was taking the pizza back because it didn't look as good as it should. When my new pizza came out I couldn't believe how delicious it was! But then again, I thought the "bad one" tasted really good. They also have a fantastic martini menu which was a nice treat. read more

This was a really good option versus the restaurants closer to the Falls, but the food could have been better. The veal parm was good, but somewhat bland and rather thin and dry. The bread was cold and stale, but the staff and service were great. The place was empty when we ate at 8pm on a Tuesday night. I have to write a review about this restaurant because it is BY FAR the best that I have visited in Niagara Falls for service and the food is definitely up there!! We had a server named Leah, what an angel! She was so accommodating. I am a vegetarian and when I mentioned to her I love polenta and rapini she had no issues having the chefs make me a custom meal from scratch - Polenta and rapini were both on the menu as sides, but weren't in a dish together but she completely accommodated that. My other friend liked a dish they had recently taken off their menu - no problem, they made that too. The service was fast and professional. On top of Leah being amazing, the manager came by twice to make sure everything was OK. It was a nice feeling to know that these people genuinely care about customer service! The food was absolutely amazing....and the portions were large, prices were very reasonable, especially for being in a tourist area. What else can I say, nice atmosphere, clean place. AND they even offered to pay for our cab back to the hotel. I am not sure if this is a standard thing, but the server mentioned that next time if we want to cab there/back and have some drinks, they comp your cab, both ways. My friends who travel often recommended this place, and I must say, I was not disappointed. The waitress was attentive and helpful, the homemade bread was delicious, and the food was wonderful. I had a simple spaghetti dish (I usually think simple is better) that was good, but my friend had spaghetti alla carbonara di cupello and it was AMAZING. The only thing that could have made it better would have been dipping herbs to go along with the bread and oil. They also have multiple glass size choices for wine, which was nice. My sister and I visited from Pennsylvania a week ago. The service is fantastic, the food is incredible. The gnocchi with beef was light and fantastic. Made in house with ricotta, not potatoes. We had four teenagers and they gobbled down everything they ordered from chicken parm to fetticini. My sister had the chicken with vegetables and said it was very good. The prices are very reasonable. We did not have a reservation and they were happy to find us a table for six. The manager walked around to check on all the tables to be sure everyone was pleased. The tiramisu was the absolute best, hands down, that I've ever had, and I get it everywhere. It was light and delicious. The creme brûlée was also delicious. (Both also made in house). The restaurant was very clean, and a little loud because of the high ceilings, and the prep area right where you eat, but the food is fantastic. It's also nice that it's just a bit away from the craziness of the town. If we are ever in the area, we'll be back. Keep it up. Compliments to the "in house" chef. read more
