Carpet Genie came to a Playa Vista condo and their work seemed fine, but when we realized they didn't do the pet treatment, we called them back and that is where my experience with them comes to play. Deon was very informative and impressive over the phone and they didn't charge extra for the return trip. The carpet looked wonderful after the work and I appreciated how they could identify areas of cat presence and treat from walls to carpet. He was honest and gave feedback on all fronts. I plan on using them again, and am glad to consider them as a repeat go-to company. I have a 2 year old who has spilled and colored all over our apartment carpets.. eeek! I called all around different carpet cleaning places (Stanley Steamer charges a MINIMUM of $115 and only covers 1 room!) and this place seemed to be not only the cheapest but the friendliest guy on the other end of the phone. We got a quote of $80 total to do our living area and our recliner chair, we just didn't need the bedrooms done. So we hired these guys. When they showed up they had smiles on their faces and were talkative (at least Deon was!). We started talking about family, friends, and when the subject turned to home towns the human GPS started. Deon knows ALL CALIFORNIA TOWNS no matter how small... funny, he is the 1st person I have talked to in the last 10 years who actually knew where my Timbuktu home town was! OK so this has nothing to do with carpet cleaning but what I am getting at is that they were friendly, fun to talk to, CHEAP, and my carpets look better than when I moved in. They weren't stingy at all, they thoroughly sprayed every spot they could possibly find and even moved my few pieces of furniture around so they could get under it. I didn't have much to move but still... other places look at you crazy if you ask for that. I absolutely recommend these guys. Not only do they clean carpets but they clean anything... cars, tile, hardwood. They make emergency calls in the middle of the night for (i think he said triple?) triple price, which is NORMAL price of those commercial guys! Thanks Deon and other guy! Dissapointed!!! 2 guys came on time, but that was the only positive thing about their service. I have 4 bedrooms and a hallway, they were in and out of my house in 1/2 hr. They did not move anything, even if it was a pair of shoes, they cleaned around them. (The company I normally use moves everything, puts it back while placing strips of paper under the things they moved.) I finally started waking after them, moving things myself and asking them to go back over those areas. They left without even telling me how long it will take the carpet to dry and the things I didn't get a chance to move remained untouched. Waste of money and I will never use them again. read more

We live in Kissimmee and had bedroom carpeting cleaned. We had great service from Corey. He took our call and scheduled for the day and time we requested. From start to finish, Corey explained the cleaning solution, why it's used, and it's safety. It's much better than those chemicals and products that mask odor used by some companies. Our carpeting looks bright and clean, there was no chemical odor, and the carpeting was dry later in the day. The price was reasonable. Sure Deon is personable and polite until he screws up and ruins your carpet. Then he blames everyone, but himself and hangs up on you. He may be fine for your every day run of the mill jobs, but not in my areas. I've been managing high end homes in Bel air and Malibu for 26 years. Unfortunately one of my clients hired Carpet Genie to clean their carpets. I informed Deon not to soak these carpets and don't use too hot of water, as they were wool and would shrink. Deon informed me he knew what to do and that he had been doing carpets for 20 years. Deon preceded to soak the carpets and yes, they did shrink. The seams all pulled apart 1-2 inches. The contractor on this job decided to repair the carpets with his own guy. They had to piece in a 1 inch strip to fix the seams and replace small sections, to make it look acceptable. It looked ok, but was far from the correct fix. The client decided to not replace the carpets at that time. About a year later, which was this July, my client called Deon again, without consulting me first, and had them clean the carpets again. When the carpet seams pulled apart again, my client asked me to call Deon and find out what happened. I already knew what happened, but called anyway. Immediately Deon got defensive and hung up on me, before I even asked what happened. He did call me back the next day and said he was busy when I called and couldn't talk. Bulls@!t. The carpets were already like that, Deon claimed, and I didn't know what I was talking about, and yes, hung up again. I did text him a photo of the damage, but I got no reply. Carpet Genie is fortunate my client only stopped payment on the cleaning job. I would have made them responsible for all the carpets I now have to replace. read more

This company is so awesome! I called them at about 6:30 pm in desperate need of my pee and poo infested rug. Dog sitter didn't take them dogs out enough. Anyway, i had called a couple others before this one to get a price range . He first quoted me $85 for a 8x10 rug. So i said no thank you and hung up on him. He then called me back said that I could use a coupon he would give me. that would make it $75 I then told him that I just got quoted $65 (which was true btw) and then Dean, said he could match that, no problem. I was like awesome, can you send your guy now by chance? He was hesitant at first, but i explained how desperate I was to get it cleaned. He said he would call his guy and see if he could make it. He then called me back and someone would be at my place within the hour. I was so grateful. His guy Raymond, was about to have dinner with his girl but instead he came to clean my rug, with his really nice girlfriend who actually helped a little and he did a really really great job! I Referred him to my landlady and he is coming back tomorrow to clean her rug and couch. Super happy now. no more smelly carpet. read more

I wanted to schedule the service fast, Carpet Genie accommodate my schedule, where right on time, and charged exactly what they said they would. The work took about 45 min to get my three bedrooms cleaned, they moved the furniture and offered credit card as an option. Could not be happier. Regarding the timing for it to get dry, just leave the windows open for air to circulate and you'll hay it dry by the afternoon on a nice day, that was really not a problem, obviously plan to go out after you get the job done to avoid any inconvenience.
