I have experienced the most worst customer service from Koren Chavez. I went into the store to get a shower handheld, which I thought would be simple enough. However, trying to communicate with her via phone and email has proven to be extremely difficult. She doesn't follow through and ordering a part seems to be impossible because she says she will send me photos and prices but never follows through. All I want is to pay for the part needed so that I can purchase a new shower handheld... And it's been weeks and Koren has been extremely unhelpful. After a disaster at Dal tile where we noticed that 1/2 the tiles were unlike the sample during installation (had to rip it out and start over), our tile man sent us to a number of "big retailers" to find porcelain floor tiles. Nothing was right - we needed a relatively plain, white background floor tile to go with our late 80's kitchen cabinets. On a whim really we went to Porcelanosa in West Hollywood because I drive by it all the time. They had EXACTLY what I wanted and the sales person (Tala) was terrific. She always replied to me by text and email almost immediately for the few follow up questions. Even the delivery went well. The tile had to be shipped from NY and yes, it was more $ than the other Dal tile, but let me tell you, it's gorgeous. The install is nearly complete so I will add photos later. read more

Do NOT buy a standing tub here. We purchased one for nearly $3k and used it under five times before it broke. Porcelanosa did not care at all and told us we had to buy a special part from Spain for $90 plus shipping. Plumber just said it will cost $1200 for a "guaranteed fix" and $400 for a "maybe fix." What a crappy tub. The $300 tub we bought from Amazon and used a million times works great. Stay away! (We do like our tiles from here though) read more

Porcelanosa carries beautiful products, that's what enticed me to enter the store in West Hollywood, CA. The saleswoman, Trinidad, was nice and helpful. I found a toilet on promotion for our bathroom remodel and purchased it that day. The delivery came from Cerritos, CA and cost $100. A bit much but I needed it ASAP. When we installed the toilet an interior piece was broken, so the toilet did not work. I sent an email to Trinidad, who was helpful in trying to communicate with their headquarters in SPAIN. Yes, Spain, where all the decisions are made. And there the problem lies. Time zone differences and miscommunication equals a less than adequate and efficient response. It's now 6 days later and I still don't have the part, and won't have it until next week because the NJ shipping location input our address incorrectly. I feel stupid for only paying attention to the beauty of the product, and not the logistics and credibility of the manufacturer. If I had only ordered this product from a dependable US company perhaps we'd have a toilet that works by now. BEWARE of ordering important items from this place. Went into Porcelonosa as my partner and I are remodeling the entirety of our primary bathroom. The store was empty and the sales associates generally ignored us, however, when we did ask a question we were met with annoyance. In all honesty, we found some things we liked but due to the poor service we ended up purchasing all of our materials elsewhere. Some building and decor stores merely sell. Pick your tiles, pay your bill and leave. In this customer-focused environment, they may survive but not necessarily generate return business. Customers go where they feel welcome. The building/contractor/design business may well be most guilty of the sin of customer NON-service. At stores where I've shopped for materials to remodel my home, I was either ignored, made to wait interminably, or treated condescendingly by the sales staff. But I met the epitome of courteous, knowledgeable and highly professional service in Tala Amiri, the design consultant at Porcelanosa's West Hollywood's location. I went there to browse for tiles, and though I wasn't quite ready to purchase yet, she spent a good deal of time showing me and my friend options and ideas for my remodeling project. Tala put together various configurations of tile styles and colors, the results of which reflected a highly evolved design sense. More importantly, we never felt rushed or pressured. Tala was patient in presenting a host of ideas, all of which were gorgeous. The experience stood in stark contrast to my previous experience at other building stores. Personally it is important that I get excellent customer service and work with people who are responsive to both my needs as well as my clients. I have been lucky enough to find that in Denise at the store on Beverly. Although she was recently promoted and no longer works in the store, she still tries to meet me there whenever possible. If Denise is not able to meet me, one of the other sales associates always helps me and is always very knowledgeable and helpful. We had visited the Showroom a few weeks back and were really impressed by the beautiful tile and selection but admittedly intimidated by the price. We started looking into other brands then heard about the 40% off sale and returned. This is where we paired up with our Design Consultant Carolina Lopez. Carolina was nothing short of amazing. We had scheduled a meeting to come in at the beginning of the sale to avoid the crowds and get our order in early. Unfortunately we were called out of town unexpectedly to attend a wake/funeral postponing our meeting. We came back into town a few days before the end of the sale and Carolina agreed to come in 90 minutes early before store opening so she could meet with us one on one and process our order. After 3 hours we had our order... that still needed to be reviewed by the General Contractor before it could be placed at the store the next day (the last day of the sale). Carolina worked well into the night the last day of the sale before finally tracking down our contractor at almost 8:00PM to pay for the order. I have worked in retail and now in construction so all too often I see the sad reality that exceptional customer service in our industry can be hard to find. Though she was swamped with customers she made us feel like we were her top priority. Honestly her outstanding attitude and service were the difference in us buying out tile their or not. Carolina coming in early when she didn't have to made that possible. Without the sale price it would have been out of our price range as we have a large home and need LOTS of tile. We even ended up ordering most our bath fixtures as well, which we were planning to buy elsewhere. If Porcelanosa Management reads these, Carolina was the difference between us becoming customers or not. Oh, and when I say we need LOTS of tile... Our order was just north of $17,000. After a terrible experience at Home Depot, we tried Porcelanosa for some tile for our kitchen back splash. Porcelanosa had our in-stock tile available for pickup the NEXT DAY in their warehouse, while Home Depot took over a month and got our order wrong so we cancelled it! Props to Johnnie in sales and Amanda in customer service for getting our orders correct and super fast! Then when we needed more tile, the order was placed fast and again ready for pickup the next day in their warehouse! We used the installer, Miguel, on their recommended tile installers list & he was fast & responsive. As developers of high end homes we have been using Porcelanosa for over 8 years both in Washington DC and Los Angeles. Last week We had an issue where we needed more tiles for the house and since all our tiles were purchased from them (over $40K) and we only needed 4 additional boxes, we placed the order. Somehow the sales agent inserted our home address for delivery vs. the job site. Keep in mind we paid over $400 to have these 4 boxes delivered from Texas. The day of delivery (today) we got a call that the tiles are on the way to our house. We told them it needs to go to the job site (less than 2 miles away from the house). They refused and asked for $65 additional delivery fee. We thought this was unacceptable and contact the store for help. Instead we spoke with a sales rep named Paige who refused to waive the fee, was super argumentative, basically blamed us for this mistake and refused to let us speak with the store manager saying I've already spoken with her and this is also her decision. Keep this in perspective: we've paid for the initial delivery from Texas, we've spent over $40K on this house alone with them, and we're currently compiling a list for another house where the order would have been for over $70K. Congrats to Porcelanosa for losing an 8 year client over $65 and a rude sales rep named Paige. I hope it was worth it. We will NEVER use you guys again. read more

After spending months looking for the right solid shower tray I found perfection at Porcelanosa. Their Krion tray looks amazing and feels amazing under foot, solid as a rock. We're on our third bathroom remodel and would never consider another product. Their tile is pretty awesome too, maybe too awesome. Trying to decide between several beautiful options is tough, but a good problem to have I suppose. We've been to several of their showrooms and had great experiences at all of them but Denise at the West Hollywood store is fantastic. I know she works with developers and architects so my bathroom projects are small potatoes, but Denise has always been responsive and quick to answer any questions I've had. This place is the worst!! They are nice to your face before you buy but if there are any legitimate issues with the products they are no where to be found. They do not respond at all to customer concerns.'I was trying to "exchange" an unopened wall shower and they refused to even talk about it.. Their sales policies are unethical and with all the bath fixtures stores around they are the LAST place you should ever trust. I am having to take them to court,it is that serious. Especially be very aware of the manager(Patricia Denia) who is not only condescending to good customers but they will rip you off any chance they get. Also, Juliane Paige Arpel who could have not have been nicer before the sale, now will not return phone calls and is not at all willing to help solve the customer issues. They don't care if you are a good customer(like I have been). I have been furnishing homes for years and have never come across more evil and unfair people... They are awful and buyer beware. There is NO customer service and they are only out for the buck... I am not kidding.. it's really shocking... Especially within our design community where we are all there to be fair and help each other.. They act like a "pop up store" that has no concerns with return business. Sometimes things happen, like when my order got delayed & my product arrived damaged....BUT, the smile on my face returned quickly because I was working with the professional staff at Porcelanosa West Hollywood, who handled my problem quickly and without complaint. The manager, Patricia, and her saleswoman, Amanda, were a pleasure to work with. I ordered panels of their unique Airslate product and placed the order with a saleswoman who was on maternity leave when it arrived. Unfortunately, it did arrive damaged and, unfortunately my builder, who received it, did not inspect the package immediately...fortunately for me, however, these ladies took quick action to help me out & in a pleasant & responsible way. Later, when the shipper, who delivered the replacement product, dropped the ball and did not deliver it to me in a timely manner as agreed, these ladies stepped in to advocate for me resolving the issue with the least amount of stress to the customer: me. Remodeled 4 bathrooms and a kitchen with Porcelanosa tiles and I want to say 4 things: 1) Their tiles are just different from everyone else's tiles. It's a different style, a different feeling, a different "energy". After walking in their showroom for the first time, I knew right away that this was the place for me. Try it and you'll know one way or the other immediately! 2) They have a very transparent pricing structure. Their tiles are only available through them. So you can't shop around trying to squeeze some dealer on price. Maybe you pay a little more because of this but it's definitely less stressful. 3) They often have a few tile designs on sale, about 40% off, so if you can live with that style, you can save a lot. This happened to us with 2 styles which we used for our bathrooms and kitchen floor. 4) The sales rep Trinidad is excellent. She's very good at getting a sense of my taste and directing me to those tiles which she thinks I will like. She has good taste herself and made some very good recommendations. She even went above and behind the call of duty by helping us pick out the paint colors for our bathrooms to match the tiles we alrady bought from her, which certainly wasn't her job. Overall, amazing experience which I would highly recommend to others, and I'm not just saying that, I really mean it! 5 stars for sure. read more
