Our contractor recommended Carpet Liquidators to us as he was able to get us special pricing there, so off we went to check out their offerings. We were in the market for some high quality (12mm) laminate, and these guys were rolling in the stuff. Todd helped us out by showing us the various options, explaining the differences, and not pressuring us to make any decisions. We made our choice (Radiant Luster Gobi--highly recommended if you want laminate that's a lighter shade of wood and on the shinier side), and were assured that we'd be refunded for any leftover boxes after our job was done. We would not recommend buying carpet from this company. It was nice that they come to your house with samples but we had so many problems with the installation! They left nails all over from the metal strips (after I called them to come and redo them), the seam between the living room and hall is horrible, and they didn't hang the closet doors or install the door tracks for them. The response to my questions was terrible and so was the attitude when I had complaints. read more

They were fast and friendly - came on time and we love the rental grade of carpet. The vynal we purchased was amazingly easy to install and matches great. We do have one complaint- when we purchased we showed a drawing (the salesman made a copy of it) and we're told they could do a curve around the door. They tried! But it turned out pretty banged up! I am sure that in a year or so there will be other dings in the metal trim and it will blend in but for being brand new - it was disappointing. It's like getting a ding in your new coffee table - yuk. It's all you notice for a long time But the men who came were very nice and respectful. Oh one other concern. The remenat I bought was 12x27 - we only needed 12x24? We're did my other 3 feet go!? I was hoping for a small extra piece for a mat while we move in and then use it my camper ?? They took all the leftovers with them. I assume this is great service most of the time to take garbage out with you but I was really wanting at least a 2x2 piece for a sample to take with me when o go pick out a couch!! read more

Andrew and Sam very helped me through the whole process from pick the carpet, quoting, and installation. My schedule was flux before the carpet installation, but they were able to accommodate my schedule within 24 hours of notice. I called Andrew and Sam on Friday and ask if they could do the measurement & installation on Saturday, and they pulled it off! The rooms was measured on Saturday 9AM and new carpet installed by 1PM. The carpet installer they sent was very professional, disassembled the wall shelves that were obstructing the carpet and assembled them back after the installation. The installer also cleaned my hallway, condo lobby, and garage after the job was done. It was a very pleasant experience overall. Very satisfied with their service. read more

Avoid Shopping Here!!! While it may seem that they would have low prices, this is a scam. First, the remnants and flooring are often times more than the flooring was originally. I found several of the carpets they were selling at other retailers for less. Also, they have a bad return policy, and they don't even stand behind that. If you have carpet cut, they say you have 48 hours to return it, but what they don't tell you is there is a 50% RESTOCKING fee! It is hard to get help here as well. DO NOT SHOP HERE. read more

I would have rated this much higher but great customer experience, in my opinion, means not making more work for the customer. I was recommended by a friend who recently has his place carpeted and had good things to say. Their estimator came out and I went in and selected my carpet. Easy, painless process. I went back twice for more samples and each time they were very friendly about it. Payment and installation scheduling was again, painless and cordial. On the day of the installation, I was not home and had a friend let them in. Later that day I stopped by. The installers had taken off all the doors in the three rooms (so six doors in total) and had stacked them in the bathroom. They told me, because of the thickness of the carpet they would not be putting them back on. !!! I had to find a company to shave them down and have them re-installed. If I hadn't stopped by I wouldn't even have known the reason. When I complained (and had to go through the installation manager, sales manager, and finally the general manager), I was told "we don't shave doors, thats your responsibility". It took me several iterations of explaining why some of it was their responsibility and finally they agreed to split the cost with me. read more

I am disappointed in the quality of the padding used. We were sold on the more expensive padding they offered and it crunches every step that is taken on the carpet. Even the cat makes noises as it walks across the carpet. The quality of the carpet is great but I am extremely disappointed in the padding they sold us. I went to Carpet Liquidators (CL) after another carpet company flaked out on me. I'd read the reviews here so thought it was safe. I had just a couple of weeks left before I was due to have surgery, so I was thrilled when they said they could install by Feb 1st. I REALLY regret doing business with this company. To avoid a really long narrative, I'll just hit the highlights: 1) when I went to the showroom, salesman Sam immediately started insisting I pick a neutral color carpet, despite my own preference 2) when the measuring guy - Shane, who was rude and 1/2 hour late - came to measure, he was not only discourteous, he also tried to rip me off. The previous company had done a thorough measure and I used their dimensions when I was working with CL on the estimates. When Shane came to measure, mostly because I didn't want to deal with him for longer than I needed to, I didn't bother having him measure one of the closets. Even though he measured a smaller total area, he came up with (you guessed it!) a larger sq footage than the original that did include the extra closet 3) when I received a call from CL asking for more money and questioned Shane's inflated sq footage, they called back and informed me they had taken some of it off. (???!!!) 4) I wasn't able to be at home on the day of the install, so a friend of mine stayed at my place to let them in. As before, they were late and rude. But that wasn't the worst of it. Imagine my shock when I returned home to find THE WRONG CARPET installed all throughout my condo. Naturally I called Sam, who proceeded to insist that that was the carpet I picked out because that was the one he put on the receipt. Getting nowhere with Sam, I BEGGED to speak to a manager. After about a 10-min hold, Mike, the owner, came on the line. I cannot even begin to describe how rude, disrespectful and condescending this man was. He refused to let me speak and kept insinuating that somehow I had done this on purpose. He also spent a significant amount of time whining about how he would "have to pay for the labor twice" and was "going to have to sell used carpet". As things stand, they are supposed to come and replace the carpet in a few weeks. Do I want to deal with these lying, cheating, disrespectful morons again? Absolutely not. But the alternative is to live for years with carpet I never wanted. Word to the wise: if you do business with these people, make sure you pay attention each step of the way, question everything, and - if you're a single woman - make sure you take some burly man with you or these goons will take advantage of you any way they can. read more

Although I didn't buy carpet from CL, I did give them a call one Saturday morning to find out if they had any carpet in the color I was looking for. I spoke with Andrew who not only went looking to see what they had in stock but sent me PHOTOs of the 3 colors that were similar to what I was after! I thought one of them would do so I went there to take a look but unfortunately they were too light. Anyways, I really really wish they had the color I needed as they STOCK all their carpet so you don't have to wait a month to get it. And their prices are good too. I just spent over $4,300 on carpet at the Tacoma store. I spent quite a bit of time talking to Thom about the fact that this carpet was to be installed in a rental. Two things happened, when they showed up to install, they told me there was not enough carpet for two of the bedrooms and since Thom couldn't remember what I ordered, he threw in another piece of carpet (something I would have never chosen for the rental). Somehow the installers were able to get the carpet installed into two bedrooms (nort sure if this was what I paid for) but then they installed the carpet downstairs into the rec room. The installer told me that we are not to vacuum over the seam because it will run. Not to use a vacumn with a beater bar. In relaying this to Thom, he informs me that there has been a "misunderstanding" on my part; but yes, using a Dyson could be a problem with that carpet. How many landlords do you know tell their tenants what type of vacumn to use? He told me Vlad guarantees his work for a years, the problem is that Vlad's work is great, the carpet should have never been installed in the first place. On the bright side, Thom did tell me to "have a great Spring". Guess I need to find someone over Thom to get this fixed. read more

All I can say is WATCH OUT for this companies business practices. You may think you're getting a good square foot price but make sure you check their numbers closely. They greatly over estimated the amount of carpet required (they call it waste), which in our case was over 25% more than the rectangular space being carpeted. To make it worse they also charge full labor dollars on the "waste" material and simply claim its industry practice. On our small project this amount equated to around $1300. When I questioned them on the numbers they were rude and had no interest in doing the ethical thing. The owner was a pompous ass who apparently thinks it's okay to charge all of his customers for products they do not receive. I would have been happy to cover a reasonable amount of waste (maybe 10-12%) to accommodate fewer seems or odd room sizes but why on earth would I pay labor for materials that are being thrown in the garbage???? This is an unethical business practice and I suggest you all closely scrutinize this companies quotes. I would recommend you do not support this type of business practice as it's bad for everyone. I guess if you like paying for something you don't get, you should continue to buy from Carpet Liquidators! read more
