The gentleman I interacted with (Darrell Lewis) was very friendly and very kind. He knew a lot about his products. I did go ahead and purchase the carpet for my house. I was very pleased with the quality and the way it looked. We did run into an issue with way the carpet was layed and the seams. Carpeteria came out to the house to evaluate the problem. After seeing what the problem was, they decided to just replace it. We were very pleased with the way they handled it. I went back a year later and purchased carpet for my parents house. Again they did a wonderful job.. They have a wide variety of carpets. I like that the carpet is pet friendly. Like everyone I started at Home Depot thinking they're going to be the cheapest place but after shopping around I realized that's not true. HD's prices are fairly high and it takes up to a month to get an installation scheduled. So, after trying all the top listings on Yelp, I came to Carpeteria, talked to Darrell and was pleasantly surprised to find the carpet I wanted and installation in a way shorter time that Home Depot could offer. We called to have our carpet installed and they were nice enough to do one room and come back at a later date to the second room. First of all they arrived right on time! We had Juan and Juan and they were able to communicate perfectly with us! Second, they cleaned up after themselves beautifully. Third, they leveled the floor in the second room ( which will be installed later) and the carpet looks amazing! You can't see any seams! They did it quickly and efficiently! We were quite impressed. First off Darrell was kind , came out did the estimate , set the appointment, The install was a mess , we took everything out , took the day off , we were excited for our new floor , well at the end of day one , we had crooked cuts , pieces of floor not installed, the trim was not installed , ( was told after the fact that the trim was failed to be ordered , and how can you not have enough material to finish the actual flooring , Had to wait another week , take another day off work , ready to be done and excited for the end , well installer showed up set up , lasted 10 minutes as the whole box of material was damaged (?) . another wasted day , and another wait for the next Appointment Finally on the third try , the floor is complete, it looks good , No offer to be compensated for wasted time , No discount offered for the wait , and it's not even the money , it was the fact that nothing was offered other than an apology x3 , I will probably do more research wqhen we go to replace the bathroom floors in the coming months, read more

We were swapping out carpet for LVP, and Darrell was very helpful and patient as we went about choosing our flooring. We took such a long time and made many trips back for samples. It was great being able to communicate with him over text messages. The flooring was great, and the transitions were done very nicely too. The installers also took time to take out the toe kick of the cabinets and installed the planks under it before replacing it. So there was no need for ugly quarter rounds! I am previously shopped at Conklin Brothers, S&G, Lowe's, Abbey carpet's, etc. and I ended up choosing Carpeteria because I wanted to go to a place that was a bit smaller to support locally owned business especially during the pandemic. What a mistake. They started out nice, but turned out to be horrific. I chose a nice Karastan carpet. But Carpeteria damaged my property and did a horrible install. I have a loose carpeting with frayed edges and ridges, they used old carpet padding that was all yellow that being stored so long in their warehouse when they should've ordered new. The communication became so stressed that they felt the need to threaten me by placing a mechanics lien on my property, but still wanted to come back into my home which I don't feel comfortable with. Why they feel the need to force me to I will never know, horrible customer service. Very poorly handled and unprofessional, why would I ever let them back in my home again? If you choose Carpeteria you will regret it. I know I do. read more

We had a great experience getting new carpeting from this company. We worked with Darrell and he was very helpful and knowledgable. We went there to get the Air O carpeting by Mowhawk. This carpet is for people with allergies and is quite different than conventional carpet. There is no smell or off gassing when you put it in. The pad is attached to carpet and it doesn't curl up or need to be stretched or tacked down with tack strips. It gets attached by a special two sided tape for this carpet. The installers were great and did a really good job. The difference in my allergies since getting it is HUGE! Thank you Darrell and crew. read more

I was shaking in anger when I left this store... Came into this place for the second time yesterday because I convinced my S/O that we should get another quote besides Home Depot (first time we visited we just walked around and didn't get to talk to a sales rep much). We arrived with a sample of a carpet from Home Depot for color comparison. Upon walking in, we were greeted by Daryll within 2-3 mins and I appreciated this since good customer service from HD can be hard to come by. Soon into our conversation he began to compare HD to them and went on about their low grade material etc. No big deal at this point, just some harmless competitive talk. He then began looking for something that would fit our budget and style. After some time we met him at his desk where he gave us and estimate. My S/O has a friend who was going to help put in the carpet so we asked for a quote for just the carpet. Reluctantly he did so while convincing us to get the installation. He started to sound more and more condescending as our consultation went on. My S/O asked they come and measure for an estimate. He said yes but continued to let us know that his time is valuable and he'd only come if we were serious and we told him we understood that. THEN he continued to tell us "no offense..." but it is people of our Indian community that will use him for all his 'resources' then go to Home Depot in the end then proceeded to ask me why 'Indians' do that and continued to go on about it. That was it, I left before I let my anger out but immediately regretted not saying anything to him before walking out. My experience thus far has been lackluster. I had work done on a rental, new carpets and vinyl. Kris who appears to be the manager was fine. She came out for the quote, was nice following through to the instillation but it stops here. My quote was under by $300 according to her when I got the call the day after I placed my order. It was to ensure quality and the materials needed. I said ok to the additional charge which I am regretting. Instillation day I am to get a call 30min before the installers are to arrive, they call when they are at the house and no one was home so we had to rush over to let them in. Them being two guys I could have hired off the street, not professional. During this day they were delayed due to not having the materials and at one point they had to run to Home Depot to get material. Instead of doing the job right and coming back the next day they "finished" the job at 9:30pm and this is on a Wednesday night and I get up at 5am for work, not happy. Finally when I got to the house on Friday to get a better look at their work the carpets looked good no issues, however the vinyl is another story. The vinyl has large air bubbles throughout and. There is the concrete mixture on baseboards, cabinets, and walls as well as glue on the floors all of which I have been cleaning. Ohh and their work order was not correct as the laundry room was to have a vinyl border and it took some additional work on my part to get the workers and office on the same page despite having to pay more after the original quote. Fast-forward to today. After I called on Friday and talked to Kris I was told I am to receive a call for them to come back out to fix this. I await the call and worry how everything will look once they come back so I will be sure to post again, I hope with more positive remarks though I am not optimistic. read more
