My bathroom refurb by Carpets 4 U is complete and I couldn't be happier. I worked with Gary Laslo all the way from initial design to job completion. The job involved removing a tub and replacing with a step-in shower, including seat and a pony wall. All custom tile and travertine on walls and floor. All new drains and fixtures were installed. Glass door and partial walls finished the shower. The bathroom vanity was replaced with a custom cabinet, new sinks, fixtures and granite counter. The demolition went well because they did an an excellent job of sealing off the bathroom from the rest of the house and protected the wood flooring. Throughout the job they cleaned up at every step in the process. Carpets 4 U uses a mix of craftsmen employees as well as selected partners in some trades like cabinets and glass work for shower walls and door. The tile work was outstanding by Alberto. No green board for the shower walls but a thick wall of plastered concrete. The tile and travertine tiles have very uniform grout lines. Manny did a fine job on framing and plumbing. The cabinets were by JC's Custom Cabinets that Gary works with, and Javier designed some custom construction so as to add more usable space under the sinks. The cherry drawers and doors look and work very well that reflects the custom work done at Javier's shop. The painting of ceilings, walls and adjoining master bedroom was expertly done by Bernie. He fixed a number of wall and ceiling holes to perfection. I supplied most of the materials like the travertine and ceramic tiles, sinks, plumbing fixtures, and lighting fixtures. Only delay in getting materials was with the travertine and ceramic tile, but Gary was patient and cooperative in waiting for the materials to arrive. He is great to work with and knows remodeling tasks, materials, trades and overall management of the job. I can enthusiastically recommend Carpets 4 Us for more than flooring, also significant remodeling. read more

We visited a number of flooring stores in search of new carpet for our renovation and, based on my wife's research, decided to pay Carpets 4 U a visit. We met with Dennis, who really nailed what type of carpet we were looking for. Carpets 4 U has a pretty large warehouse with a good selection, so the fact that Dennis was able to find us the type of carpet we wanted (within our budget) was really appreciated. At the other stores that we visited, we never felt that the salespeople really "got" what we were looking for (or maybe they did not care enough). A few weeks (or maybe a month or so later), Gary came to our house, measured our floors, and provided us with a better idea of how much everything would cost. We scheduled the installation but had to reschedule a number of times due to delays from our contractor. Each and every time, Carpets 4 U accommodated our delays. On the day of installation, a crew of 2 or 3 guys came by the house (on time) and completed the job (again, on time). The carpets look great, and we could not be more happy with Carpets 4 U's service. Also, note that Carpets 4 U will provide you with the 8-lb pad as part of their standard price, whereas some stores like to sell it to you as a "free upgrade" to make it appear as if you're getting a better deal. Finally, we paid with personal checks. I cannot recall whether they accepted credit cards or not (I assume not; otherwise, that's how I would have paid). read more

Dennis and his crew ripped out old tile and carpet from our home, took out a pony wall and repainted our interior from a burgundy red to a light gray. The paint job was flawless, you can't tell the home was anything other than the new gray color. The flooring came out just great and the drywall repair where the pony wall was...well let's just say you can't tell there was anything there before. His folks show up on time, work hard and clean up afterwards. What more could you want? Do yourself a favor and have the job done right the first time. You'll thank yourself in the end! read more

Time for a remodel on our home of 42 years! My daughter recommended Carpets4U and Claudine Williams, consultant. Previously, my sister and I had used Claudine for window coverings and some upholstery and were very pleased. Carpets4U is a full service family owned construction company. I knew I wanted white cabinets in the kitchen but was at a loss on where to start, colors to pick, tile, brick, etc. Within a 1/2 hour meeting with Claudine we had a general plan. Claudine was a dream to work with and an eye for detail. Within 24 hours she had pulled samples of everything we had discussed. Next was a detailed blueprint of the kitchen and then a work schedule. There was a tremendous amount of work: gutting the family room and kitchen, carpeting, flooring and painting the entire house. I loved that Claudine was always in control of the time schedule and meeting the deadline. She also had a list of referrals and when I didn't find what I wanted she researched and came up with the right merchants. I can't say enough good things about their skilled employees. Carpets 4U employ the best craftspersons. They are efficient, friendly and extremely patient answering questions we had. Clean up was great. If there was a question, Claudine and/or Gary were right there. I am thrilled at the final results. I am truly amazed. We had a water leak and had to make fast discussions on redoing the first floor. A friend recommended Carpets 4 u and I am not disappointed at all. I met with Margie at the warehouse and chose both the tile and wood flooring. She was very helpful and knew the products well. Carpets 4 U is a misleading name. They do all kinds of construction work. I started using Carpets 4 U to replace carpet, but over the last 25 years, I have remodeled my house using them. I have redone the kitchen, 3 bathrooms, a laundry-room and the family room. In addition to all kinds of flooring, they handle everything including structural modifications, plumbing, electrical as well as cabinetry. You get turnkey work. They do not nickel and dime you. Once a job starts, small changes are made without grumbling and usually without an increase in the quoted price. They have always beat their schedule and have finished ahead of their quoted time. Their work is the finest available. I am a structural engineer and I still marvel at some of the details on jobs done years ago. They don't advertise and depend entirely on word-of-mouth. For the last 10 years, I haven't bothered to get competitive quotes - they have always came in lower than the others. I went to carpets-4-u for several reasons. I try to support local businesses whenever possible. I had also been referred by my sister (recently purchased carpet from them and is in the middle of a house remodel.) My father also knew one of the owners. I was excited to support a local business as carpet is carpet; it's the same product but you are hoping for better service and compatible pricing. They also had a discount advertised on their website so off I went. I originally started working with another individual but somehow Daniel got in the mix when I went to pick up samples. I referenced the advertised price (see photo) and he had to check with someone about it. Turns out it was his grandma. He told me he wouldn't honor the advertised price as it was not supposed to be on the website. I simply stated that was wrong and he couldn't do that. I didn't raise my voice and remained calm as I could see Daniel was getting irritated. He told me he would raise the price and I would have no way to know what the price was. Really? At this point I knew I wouldn't be doing business here but the audacity of Daniel kept going (who come to find out is the owners son/nephew; which explains why he is allowed to treat people this way and get away with it. Anywhere else, he would have been terminated). He then told me, "I'm a lawyer so sue me." Again, really? I was shocked and felt threatened. I replied calmly, "I don't want to sue you, I just asked for the advertised price." He grabbed the carpet samples from my hand (aggressive and extreme behavior) and told me he wouldn't sell me carpet. I was scared and shaking so I took my phone out and took his picture (see Photo). I immediately filed a complaint with the better business bureau and had to sit in my car to gather my thoughts before I drove off as I was shaken up by the mistreatment. My father called his contact who he knew, as well as I called carpets-4-u to let them know what happened. I received an apology from several people and was also told that Daniel had been spoken to. I really should have received the apology from Daniel, but, that's not important now. At this point, and this point only, was I told that they would honor the discount. I felt that the situation had run its course, I would look elsewhere for carpet, as well as my parents and sister who was planning on using them for her remodel. When the BBB complaint came through I thought they would have replied with something like "we have reached out to the consumer and all has been addressed." Instead, they had Daniel reply; the individual who left me feeling threatened and was supposedly spoken to about his behavior. His reply was not only inaccurate, but a flat out lie. He stated HE originally offered me the discount when I was in their speaking to him. If that had happened, then why was there even an issue? He then stated he felt threatened; a direct restatement of what I had stated. Look at the picture for yourself. Does this look like someone who felt threatened? He's coming at me not the other way around. Daniel is unprofessional, aggressive, dishonest and should not be in a position dealing with the public. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. There are so many carpet options out there. We had success at Sterling Carpets; great service, professional people, and the same carpet you can get at Carpets-4-u. This review is long overdue. Linda and Gary's team remodeled 2.5 bathrooms at our home in 2018 and the results were great. We contacted them on recommendation by our real estate agent who was also having her bathroom remodeled by Carpets 4U. Gary came and took measurements and I went to Linda's store to select the materials. Linda was thoughtful and conscientious about our budget and didn't push for anything that would have pushed the costs beyond our budget. She gave great recommendations and their store had a great selection of options for tile, counter tops, and cabinets. We ordered our own toilets, faucets, fixtures, and sinks, and Linda's team installed them. Linda also gave us her contacts for shower glass enclosures and custom mirrors which helped us save money because we were able to hire them directly. In the end, we stayed within budget and finished just slightly over our estimated time frame. Delays were caused due to back-ordered materials. Great place to get carpets. We got a great deal on the Shaw Caress line of carpets. Other places were $1000 more. Margie and Brianna were great. They took the time to show us different lines of carpet that fit our budget. They also didn't rush us or pressure us into making a decision. We ended up getting the carpet that our 16 month old wanted. He loves to roll around on the carpet it's so soft. Denis came and measured and didn't add any extra to pad the cost. The 8lb pad was included in the installation unlike other places that charge extra. The installers, Andrew and Raul did a fantastic job. Can't see any seems or joins and so far no bubbling of the carpet. Overall a great company to deal with. read more

The business did a great job re-carpeting our living room and re-padding our stairs. They were willing to take the job even though it was small. They have a large variety of samples at their warehouse and got the carpet we ordered in quickly (though they do have a good selection at the warehouse so you wouldn't have to have carpet shipped). They came out and measured the areas. THey did a great job installing the carpet and were willing to move furniture. They even moved it back when they were done with the job. They did a great job and then cleaned it all up when they left. I would use this business again. read more

Buyer beware....you have a lot of choices in where to buy carpet in this area and my experience with this company was frustrating and non-productive. There was no demonstration of customer service and lack of responsibility on their part for any concerns. The first project went good other than the installers forgetting to tack down a corner of the room. I informed them and was told they would return to make it right and that didn't happen. Ordered carpet for another project and waited 2 weeks for an install date and had to reschedule as their installer showed up and did not comply with the HOAs rules and left the job site without calling or informing us of any issues. We were assured they would make it right and another crew would follow the rules of the HOA to complete our project and again we were let down! Save yourself the disappointment and find a company who prides themselves in a job well done. I am 3 weeks waiting for carpet and now am told to find another place for carpet because they could not cooperate with the property management. All could have been avoided if they showed a bit of professionalism! I hope nobody else has to experience what we went through with this company. read more

I was looking for a grey distressed engineered hardwood floor and almost settled for laminate because I couldn't afford the price of the floor I really wanted and couldn't find the exact color I wanted in real wood. Then I found it at Carpets 4 U. I held my breath while Margie looked up the price. Maybe you're like me and a little put off about the company name, sounds a little cheesy and bargainy, but don't be fooled, they do great hardwood flooring. When I got to Carpets 4 U, I hit the jackpot, and didn't look any further. They had the biggest selection of whitewash grey hardwoods that I had found anywhere as well as the other usual dark and light hardwoods. I was surprised that a "carpet company" did so much hardwood business but they said they do as much hardwood floors as they do carpets. When Margie quoted me the price installed I couldn't believe that it was almost $3000 less than the other bids I got. I only needed 400 square feet. But they treated me as if I was a customer purchasing 4400 square feet. Dennis came out and measured for me and spent a good hour answering my questions and matching baseboards and bringing the samples over so I could see the color in my own lighting. It did take several weeks for installation because they had to order it, and then it took 2 days longer than originally planned, but Margie kept me posted on the status the whole time. On installation day, Alex and his guys set up everything outside and kept the sawdust out of the house. I had done my own demo beforehand, so the job was done in one day. A few days after, I did find a few creaks which they promptly came out and fixed and now I LOVE my new floor. I love coming home from work every day to see and feel that grey hardwood with the solid sound when I walk in the door and will definitely use this great company again. read more

I recently purchased carpeting form Carpets 4 U and am extremely impressed with their services. I spent 3 weeks shopping and comparing carpet and carpeting stores. It was down to two carpeting stores in Anaheim. However, the big difference is how Dennis from Carpets 4 U measured the room and came out to less yardage required then then the other store (other store said I needed 40 yards of carpeting). At $45.00 a yard, Dennis measurement saved me $500.00!! Our master bedroom has a small entry area before opening to the master bedroom and a small cove area off the master bedroom. Due to this shape, I was concerned with seams and how many would be needed. Dennis assured me that I would not notice the seams etc...The installers were great and you know what...Dennis was right. I could not see the seams. His installers were professionals and cleaned up after themselves! I am definitely using Dennis again when I get ready to re do my office.... read more
