This was our second visit to a Carrabba's and the first was about 20 years ago. What we liked: -The atmosphere is casual with Italian-type music. -Our server, Lauren J was friendly and efficient. -The Chianti was very flavorful. -The bread was fresh and the herb olive oil dipping sauce was delicious. -The house salad with Parmesan dressing was flavorful (but we do prefer ranch on this type of salad). -The Italian salad was really flavorful and includes fresh greens and veggies. The dressing is tart, not sweet, the way I prefer it. -The portions are hearty, we both took home leftovers. What could be improved, but was good: -The bolognese spaghetti was good, the sauce on the sweet side, but lacked robust flavor. -The limited special linguine florentine also lacked flavor, even with the lemon sauce. I think that the spinach was possibly not seasoned enough. With all of the both in mind, we would eat here again. read more

We did the Aged to Perfection bourbon pairing here at Carrabbas and I have to tell you it was well put together. The food is always pretty good but the service often leaves a lot to be desired. My wife had the sirloin it was good and I had the shrimp and scallop pasta. The issue is we sat 10-15 min before being waited on. They forgot to bring bread but did fill the oil weird. Then the mussels came out and over half didn't open so we just sent them back and took them off the bill not risking it on bad mussels. She forgot my bottle of water when the meal came. We asked for and herb refill for the oil and she just forgot it never did it. She never offered a refill on drinks even when bringing us the final ticket throughout the meal. The restaurant was lively, well decorated. I tried the burrata, Italian rice balls,, creamy parmesan salad, salmon dish with mustard sauce and broccoli, and the chocolate dream cake. The salmon was by far the highlight, very well cooked! The burrata didn't give me the same creamy, dreamy taste I know and love. The rice balls lacked flavor. Salad was fresh and well dressed. And the chocolate cake...sugary delight. Would I come back? Probably not but if you want a quality meal and don't mind chains - this place won't disappoint! read more

First time here. I came with my grandmother and aunt while visiting them in Florida. I was stunned by how good the food was. I had lentil soup, and it was very delicious--homemade type. First and foremost, the service was great from the service staff. But the kitchen needs some work. You shouldn't order spicy sausage lentil soup for a clump of it to still be frozen and the soup to be cold throughout. We then got the entree before the soup was returned to the table so we asked for the soup to be put in a to go container later to discover it has no sausage and when eaten has no more than 4 spoonfuls. Nobody expects gourmet food from carrabbas but the bill was still $150 for two people so expecting food to be hot shouldn't be expecting too much. read more

My husband and I went to Carrabba's Italian Grill for dinner located in the Gulf Coast Town Center in Fort Myers. We were immediately greeted and seated by a friendly host when we arrived. I really liked the decor and setup of the restaurant and patio. It appeared very well-lit and had a touch of elegance to it. Our waiter was named, Frankie, and he was Amazing! The service he provided to us at our table was exceptional. He not only gave us a tour of the menu but was very friendly and polite, and made sure we never ran out of anything at our table (bread, drinks, etc...). We ordered Shrimp Focaccia Bites for an appetizer. I ordered their Chicken Marsala with my sides being their: House Creamy Parmesan salad and grilled asparagus. My husband ordered their Veal Piccata with his sides being their: Caesar salad, and grilled asparagus. My husband and I both agreed that all of the food was delicious!! "Every Carrabba's we go to is consistently good," I said, which apparently jinxed the meal we were about to have. This place -- pardon my French -- sucks. ... Without elaborating the nitty-gritty, we ordered a bottle of cab requesting that it be brought to the table before our meal. Simple, right? Our transaction unnecessarily involved some ineffectual "higher-up", followed by our subsequent agreement to order a different bottle (after waiting for the first) and later, with food starting to arrive ... NO wine. "Forget it!" I said. .... Salad was brought to the table all too soon. It was ice cold, clearly pre-made and pre-dressed, apparently stored near a freezer and devoid of taste. .... I love Carrabba's signature herb and salt combo, the basis of their dipping sauce. Our nervous and inexperienced waiter took it upon himself to add olive oil .....and way too much of it. "Please bring more herbs that I can add to the original to get the right mix," I said. What does he do? The same thing, leaving me with two dishes of under-seasoned dipping sauce. ... Like always, I ordered chicken marsala with extra mushrooms. The dish arrived with two paltry mushroom slices. C'mon! Is this Candid Camera? The waiter summonsed some other "higher-up" who brought more sauce, which tasted sweet, unlike anything I've had at other Carrabba's. At this point I was defeated. Whatever. ... I ordered my usual angel hair pasta with garlic and olive oil. The pasta was over-cooked and somewhat mushy with minimal garlic. (Should I have expected otherwise?) .... "More water," I requested, and "please NO ice!" You guessed it: more ice than water in the glass he brought out. I love to linger over a good meal with a glass or two of wine. Not here. With the waiter apologizing every couple of minutes, dinner was unpleasant and a waste of money. I tipped this sorry guy nicely --I'm a good person -- but when he said "your next experience here will be better" I shook my head in disbelief, like I'd ever bother to come back. read more

Carrabba's is a solid restaurant with reliably good food at reasonable prices. Their mixed drinks are delicious and wine prices are tolerable with a reasonable selection. Chicken and pasta dishes are solid every time. I personally love their grilled salmon. My spouse loves the seafood spedino and their shrimp and scallops a la vodka pasta. The last time he ordered the pasta, the sauce was very skimpy, but the server brought more sauce when we requested it. My biggest complaint is the infernal banging and slamming of what sounds like metal sheet pans by the kitchen staff. It is an obnoxious sound that is as predictable to occur as are the good aspects of the restaurant. Come on, Kitchen Crew! Quiet down the obnoxious racket! read more

We came back for our second visit since the Yelp Event here at Carribbas. Again the service was top notch with quick attention and regularly checking back one us. The chicken Bryan is my favorite. The perfect combination of flavors and textures. We again had cocktails along with our nice unrushed dinner. We really enjoy the location at Gulf Coast Town Center because after a nice dinner, you can take a gentle stroll and window shop and listen to some live music. I ordered Uber eats after getting a coupon. I ordered a trio dinner with lasagna, chicken parm and Alfredo. It came so nicely packaged. Sauces on side so no soggy mess etc. It had a Caesar salad and plenty of yummy bread for a very fair amount of yummy food. I bet I will make this into 4 meals. Really really disappointing. My husband and I went to the Gulf Coast Town Center location tonight with reservations for 7:30pm. It was our 10th Anniversary....normally Carrabbas wouldn't be my choice for a 10 year anniversary dinner but we had our first date at this specific location and we thought it would be really fun to go back tonight. We showed up for dinner and were told we would have to wait 15 to 20 mins even though we had reservations. We were shocked that wearing masks was not enforced and the hallway leading to the host desk was completely packed...not 6 feet apart, more like 18 inches. We were texted when our table was ready and we were escorted to a table in the bar....the first table in on the right. The table was dirty and there was water on the floor that I slipped on. We decided at that point that we would rather leave. What has happened? There was a time when Carrabbas offered good food, welcoming service and a clean dining room. We were shocked and disappointed and the hostess was awful! Not a hello, not an apology, not a kind word, NOTHING. No matter how busy...what does it cost to be welcoming and kind? She saw the table, the water in front of the table stopped her and she tried to sit us anyway. I couldn't believe it? The table was dirty and she placed the menus on top of the crumbs on the table as if doing that would hide them? Epic fail...and we won't be back. Sadly I'm not sure that this particular restaurant would care. read more

Had an off day last week Saturday. I checked in using the app and it said no wait. To my surprise the place had several customers waiting and as their systems were down. We ended up waiting about 25 minutes today even though there was several empty tables around. The service picked up but then he asked if I wanted to wait for the soup. I asked how long and about 5 minutes later he brought it out. I filled out the survey and a manager called and said that he would email me some free dinners over the experience and I said thank you. I never received the email and the server never included this meal as a dine rewards so I'm pretty upset at this point and won't be back to this location. read more

We are rewards customers for many years. When we first walked in Abby was our server and seemed very nice and she started out with good service. Once we got our main meals, the service declined. It took forever to get our dirty dishes removed. It took too long for dessert. We asked for John coles and at first Abby said they were out of ice cream. Then she came back 4-7 min. Later and said they did have John coles. We waited too long to get them. When she served us the John coles, the ice cream was melted. As though the John coles were waiting to be picked up. The John coles were horrible. Like soupy. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. We don't like to make a fuss in front of others in the restaurant, but we were not happy with our service and the desserts. The main meals were delicious. Last night we were on the way to Gametime when the urge for Italian food hit. We decided to stop by Carrabba's. When we arrived there were quite a few people waiting. But I had called ahead so we only had to wait about 10 minutes. Our waitress was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Since we both knew what we wanted we made her job easy. It didn't take long for me to decide what I wanted. As soon as I saw that the pollo rosa maria was back on the menu I knew. This marinated chicken breast came stuffed thick with prosciutto and Fontina cheese. Piled on top It had sautéed mushrooms in a garlic butter lemon sauce. The sauce tasted fresh and wasn't overpowered by the garlic or lemon components. The meal also came with a chicken noodle soup. It was thick with veggies and shredded chicken. The Broth did have a little unexpected spice to it but I didn't mind. The whole meal only took a little over an hour to finish. I hadn't had the pollo rosa maria in a while but it was as good as I remembered. I'm looking forward to coming back soon and trying some of the new wine pairings. read more
