I have been to this restaurant now 3 times and will be there again soon. This is my favorite restaurant and the he most valuable hidden gem in Ft Myers. Menu changes every time I've been there, with every meal leaving you with a wish to come back for it another day. Service is exceptional, the place is small and cozy . Our servers were extremely helpful with all questions from the wine list to the components of every meal in terms of allergy concerns. I decided to update my review since I learned they are now featured in Michelin Guide, and the only restaurant in Ft.Myers to do so.. well deserved. Congratulations.

So good! Highly recommend- one of our best meals in Ft Myers ! We will be back for more!

It was very hot inside but maybe because it's June and small but it was incredibly fresh and delicious Pasta and potato were amazing and finishing with the medium rare cookies was perfection

Highly encouraged from Chef John at Next door/Gather, we ventured off to liberty to celebrate my sister-in-law's birthday. It was a long week, but we celebrated with amazing food. Cheered to another year and celebrated at Liberty. The menu is in a traditional tapas shareable for two stretchable for four. The flavors are intense and overwhelming good. There is plenty to order and enjoy so get it. Enjoy a nice wine. Never lacked anything down to a full glass of water at all times. Staff was amazing!

Our first time at liberty with our son who is a foodie at heart. Previous reviews cover all the essentials and I will just add my own personal thoughts. This is a niche tapas restaurant catering to those individuals that enjoy expertly prepared food without any pretense. The restaurant itself is very unassuming with seats for 10 at the bar overlooking the kitchen and booths as well as some awkward seating as you first enter the restaurant that can accommodate up to 20 more people. What impressed me as much as the quality of the food was the quality of our server, RAIZA, who on a scale of one to 10 was a 15. She not only knew the food but her expertise with the wine pairings was superb and I think my son really appreciated her input and selections after he had laid out some of his criteria. We ordered eight items for the three of us and they were all unique, wonderfully tasteful and beautifully presented. Each selection is paired with a different wine and you have ample time between selections to chat and talk about how good the next selection will be. Hopefully my pictures will present an accurate account of how wonderful everything was. This is not the kind of restaurant that I would personally return to on a regular basis but I would welcome the opportunity to come here once a year just to be reminded of how food/dining can be a joyous occasion. It was clear from our visit that liberty has a devout following. It was interesting that there were no salt and pepper shakers on the table and this was for the obvious reason that the food came to the table properly seasoned with no extras required. I would have to say our eight selections were ample but on the light side. We arrived at our reservation time at 5:45 and departed at 7:45, a very leisure dining experience. To summarize, liberty will continue to thrive as long as they are able to maintain their high standards of food and service, kudos to ownership and staff for providing such a unique experience in Fort Myers. The medium rare chocolate chip cookies were good but the cinnamon toast crunch ice cream was beyond compare and I certainly could've used a man's size portion of that as it was so delicious.

Five stars in every way from start to finish. Super friendly, attentive, helpful staff. Love the open kitchen and interacting with the chefs. Everything is so fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. Fun menu combinations and great (slower) pace better plates allowing you to savor what you just had and build excitement for the next. Fine cruise without the fine dining pretentiousness. We made our next reservation before we left.

I loved, loved, loved this place. This place is assuming and tucked away and I had no idea what to think but I read the reviews and thought I'd give it a try. The space is small and reservations is highly recommended. The menu changes monthly but I heard they keep some staples. The food was delicious, complex, fun, and the presentation was top notch. We talked to the chef during our meal and you can tell that there was a lot of thought put into the menu and thought into the execution of the food. Plates are small but full of flavor and have enough food. I recommend this place over and over to all food lovers. It was priced reasonable for me but it is on the higher end.

Oooooook! This cute, tiny den of deliciousness isn't one to miss. Reservations are a must. And be prepared for excellent service, a delightful greeting from the servers and chefs and an experience that I would expect of a restaurant in Fort Myers. We ordered 5 dishes to share between three people and that was more than enough but 2-3 per person is recommended. The gnocchi and lamb ragu are a must and did not disappoint! I will be trying my hand at a lamb ragu in the near future. The medium rare chocolate chip Cookie was just ok but the Cinnamon Toast Crunch ice cream was to die for! Like serious! But hurry in soon the menu changes often!

Wonderful experience. We sat at the chef's table. The chefs were friendly and engaging and the servers were attentive. Food was delicious; we ordered too much, but that's a good problem to have here. Casual vibe but upscale quality food. We will be back!

We ate at Liberty for our anniversary dinner this week -- it was our first time at the restaurant & we were so impressed! All of the food was incredible and the staff was amazing, so energetic, upbeat, and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. It was so cool to sit in front of the chefs & engage with them, watch them cook, and chat about the food. You could tell that everyone at the restaurant enjoyed their experience as well. For 2 people we ordered 6 menu items & 1 dessert and it was the perfect amount of food for us. Everything we saw the chefs make looked phenomenal & smelled amazing! Each dish we ate was delicious but our favorites were the brussel sprouts, goat cheese lamb ragu pasta and the black garlic tacos. All of the flavors, sauces, and "toppings" were spot on and went so perfectly together. The cookies were incredible as well - so soft, gooey, and melty! The restaurant is a small place & tucked away but makes for such an intimate experience. We had the best night with the best food and will definitely be back!

it was a joyous reunion to dine at @eat_liberty for the first time in almost a YEAR last week. Given pregnancy diet restrictions aka no raw meat, runny eggs, etc. I wanted to wait until after Parker arrived so I could fully eat my heart out at Liberty although time has passed, the exceptional quality and flavors stayed true throughout each course...I was most excited to reunite with the Beef Tartare with fancy mustard and warm pita points but the other selections...Shrimp Toast, Parisian Gnochhi, and Honey Roasted Duck were all fantastic. ‍Each plate is great to share with a pal (that way you can taste MORE of the offerings) but one or two could be a meal for a solo diner. go check out this place if you haven't! Small eatery with BIG personality.

Service is top tier. Everyone works as a a team and make sure guests have everything they need. The space is very intimate , like European boutique style . Very cool note, you order and the staff creates an experience with the food and it comes out in a specific order. I enjoy small details like that. The food needs its own paragraph. We had the gnocchi with mushrooms and pistachios parsnip cream sauce . The gnocchi was a crisp heavenly pillow with the creamiest inside, mushrooms were perfectly sautéed and I didn't leave a drop of the parsnip cream sauce with pesto . The 50 layer potato was crispy and you had the choice to drag it through a delicate cream sauce and cold sweet tomato leek salad. Next dish was the black garlic beef gouchujang tacos , the beef was crispy, yet so juicy and flavorful and the homemade tortilla and pickled veggies were a perfect touch. The last dish we ate was the honey age duck . The duck was perfectly seasoned, crispy and juicy! The little mushroom potato hash on the side was a perfect pairing! Make reservations way in advance and don't miss out. Some of the best food and service I've had in southwest florida.

If you are lucky enough to find yourself in Fort Myers and enjoy a true dining "experience" do yourself a favor and book kitchen seats @Liberty! The menu is creative and unique and the service we received from the chef and especially Katie and Raiza was second to none! Looking forward to our next visit next time we are in town!

The staff, from the hostesses to the waiters, are always kind, professional, and do a great job. I truly have no complaints about the restaurant itself. I'm writing this review because of a very strange experience we had that I feel compelled to share. We had a reservation for my mom's birthday. When we arrived, our table wasn't quite ready because the previous guests were still sitting there after paying their bill. This was absolutely not the restaurant's fault, and we had no issue waiting while the table was being cleared. Another couple came in and was in the same situation, also waiting. There was one open booth, and the host let us know it was reserved by request. Totally fine, no one had an issue with that. Then a third couple arrived, and that booth was assigned to them. While I was simply talking to my mom, the woman from that couple suddenly got in my face and yelled, "We live here!!!" and then walked off to the table. She came off very angry and mean, which completely caught me off guard, as well as the other couple waiting; they were also very taken back. It was such bizarre behavior. The situation had nothing to do with tourists, snowbirds, or who "lives here." We also live here year-round, had a reservation, and weren't upset or making faces, we were just waiting patiently. The entire interaction was confusing and unnecessary. To be clear, this review has nothing to do with the restaurant, which we love and will continue to return to. This is more of a message to that woman, in the off chance she reads this: that was one of the strangest and most uncomfortable interactions I've ever had in a restaurant, and it made absolutely no sense. Maybe don't do that next time.

The staff is super welcoming. Customer service is epic. We went specifically for the Seafood Paella. Our waiter told us that it takes about 40 minutes, as they make each order fresh. We were more than willing to wait. We decided on an appetizer, the Iberico Ham Croquettes. They were very lightly beaded and very crispy. We each had a glass of their white sangria. It was very refreshing. The paella came out and the aroma was heavenly!! It was the best paella I have ever eaten! The clams were so succulent and tasty. I could have eaten several dozen. All the seafood was cooked to perfection! We could not have asked for a better meal! I can't recommend Taberna Ole enough! A hit from start to finish.

We made reservations on Open Table, and I wanted to ensure I got my points. The computer is down.......sorry. They let us to a high top table. I do not want a high top. Took many minutes to decide which table to seat us at. We were there when they opened at 4pm and were the ONLY customers in the restaurant. When we left at 5:45pm we were STILL the only customers in the restaurant. Finally they seated us at a table. The absolute most uncomfortable chairs in the history of dining. Chairs with wooden bottoms. They explained that there was a concert this evening, and the place was booked full. OK. why not explain that on the web-site, so we could come another night. Or better yet, don't accept reservations for that evening. The noise level was horrible. Everyone of the staff scurrying around, moving tables, and chairs, setting up the speakers. Yelling, yelling, yelling, yelling. Could not hear myself think. Then, one of the owners opens a cabinet, and around 50 glasses come tumbling out, crashing to the floor and breaking. OK accidents happen. Then the performer arrived. Sorry, I do not know who he is, but the entire staff did and were very excited. They dropped everything and started taking photos with him. Then, they had to spend another 15 minutes showing each other the photos. This whole time, we are still the only customers, and we were totally ignored. The web site says happy hour is 4-6PM. The waitress tells us because of the party the happy hour is only lunch. Then, she asks a manager, and they bring a happy hour menu. We order from the regular and the happy hour menu. The one good note is that the cod fritters and the ham croquettes were excellent. The paella was soupy (I understand some folks enjoy it that way. I like mine with crispy rice) The waitress was very nice. She said she was sorry about all the confusion. We finally flagged her down and asked for the bill. She did, in fact, give us happy hour pricing. But, sorry, that does not make up for the evening. We left thinking that we would come back another day and give it a try. But, the next morning we woke up saying it was a horrible experience, and it is just not worth it. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g34230-d33076380-r1056307800-Taberna_Ole-Fort_Myers_Florida.html#
